Icewind Dale!

With a 1st person perspective in a fully realised D&D universe, this would have to have the greatest potential as an RPG. Real time combat with a party (of up to five other characters created by yourself) against classic creatures like kobolds and umberhulks. And with a weapon list including maces, spears, flails and whatnot along with D&D's extensive spell list + races/subraces the replayabitliy would be staggering. Perhaps a Fallout 3 style combat system would work better for spell selection, etc. especially for your party members. :hubbahubba:

That would be nice.

Not gonna happen though. :sadvaultboy:

That would be... odd.

It would have to be a hardcoe first person MMO (or offline) though. I'd hate to see the TES world transformed into a third person grinding fest, with number crunching, weightless hotkey combat like WOW and AOC.

The ultimate RPG would be a the love child og TES and New World Computing's Might and Magic.

Basically TES, but with a party of four instead of one hero. But instead of controlling all the heroes by yourself, you would controll one hero, and you could play the whole game coop with three or four friends.

I'd like the initial difficulty of Gothic 1 & 2 added to an ES game. I always loved how in Gothic your character would feel incredibly weak to begin with, which gave a very satisfying feeling as you grew stronger and were able to go back to a particular cave and kill that shadowbeast which had made it impossible to enter at any point prior to that. I like some challenge in my games, not to the same extent as Demon/Dark Souls, but creatures that level with you is just too easy. I'm not familiar with Skyrims levelling system, but hopefully we'll not see bandits in Glass armour again...

World, quests of TES... Story/Voice Acting/Choises/Partner system of Dragon Age: Origins = perfect game. Would also make it in CryEngine 3 for the graphics.

YEAH!! :ahhh:

Surprised I didn't think of that. Might and Magic was great... So depressed that they've continued the "Heroes" series and not its original MM series. They were on their way with Dark Messiah... but they fell short of the original series' feel. Loved the Mandate of Heaven... "Quickly we must move!"

Would be wonderful if ES got down with Fallout 1/2 and made a stat system that actually matters, with bonuses and weaknesses depending on how high/low they are.
Then a dialogue system that isn't handholding you with many choices to truly define your character as best as you possibly can.
Quest choices, ending sliders, make the game extremely dynamic.

Course then people'd complain that it isn't ES anymore. (Irony is sweet.)

The Edler Scrolls games are considered by many to be the benchmark in rpg gaming for detail, depth, richness and immersion.
My question is; What other rpg worlds/lore would you be exited to see if done in a game with the same level of seriousness and detail? And how would you ideally deal with integrating the different mechanics involved?

Personably, I would love to see a 'grown up', non-cartoon version of World of Warcraft , 'a la The Elder Scrolls', gritty & dark with out numbers popping up all over the screen. Id lean towards an TES style mechanics as much as possible too.

What do you think?

There is a "grown up, non cartoon version" of World of Warcraft.
Its called World of Warcraft.

WoW reminds me a bit of mudcrabs... Filthy Creatures.

Yeah, I went there :disguise:

But if it received a TES makeover... it might actually interest me.

Maybe I'm taking this the wrong way, but I though the question was: What game (franchise) would you like to see Elder Scrolls-ified... As in, remade with the new Creation Engine. I would like to see Might n Magic or Final Fantasy VI or VII basically. Dragon Age was fine, cept the lack of an open world.
