What do you want in New Vegas?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:39 am

I still like fallout 3, it was amazing and i know that it had some features listed below but i want them in bigger scale.

Everything from Fallout 2 (black humour, casinos, six, JUNKIES, swearing, killable children, slavery, easter eggs etc.) it would add more fallout climate.

NEW ENGINE!! Why did they use the same engine?? I want new animations, graphics, A.I., and killing animations like in the F2, living city, not only walking, standing, smoking (did they even smoke?) people.

Someone wrote somewhere that there will be stuff for fallout new vegas avaible to buy on the bethesda site, i hope not, i don't want another sims3 it would cost hundreds to get full game, ( i wouldn't buy anything)

no repairing, i don't like to use things in bad condition and it is hard to repair things. when i've got plasma gun i like to have it as much powerful as it should be, not destroyed weapon that needs to shoot 10 times to kill raider.

clothes that react with the wind, at least normal clothes (not armours) should be able to be destroyed, But they have to use the same engine.

No destructible buildings it would be stupid, it't good in Red faction but it wouldn't be in fallout, there should be markers at least u should be able to turn them on in the options menu.

Even better conversations, more enterable buildings

I think that it's most important:
More factions that u can join, decisions that make big consequences, please no aliens!! (only in easter eggs) no more fake brotherhood of steel (they were good in the fallout 3 but they shouldn't be in new vegas), enclave with power armours from F2 and with big powerful guns, powerful PLASMA RIFLE like in the f2, You should be able to feel the power in power armour, raiders shouldn't be able to kill u and should be scared of u, plasma guns and laser guns should be much more powerful than in F3.

I know that it's no the sims but i would be happy if i could have nice bg house with rich accessories.

It would be amazing if u could be a faction boss or make ur own faction so u would give the quests and tasks for people, u could gain new people, make tactics, give them money for their work etc.

I would be happy if i could make relationships with people some wouldn't like me and wouldn't help different people would give me gifts help me talk with me, and i even cpould have a girlfriend. Imagine, you're going through the city and some people are saying hi how are u, and different come with their friends and want to fight u, so u take off the armour and weapons to make a fair fight... or u just kill them,

Also living city,, people meet each other talk to each other, some sit on the ground and beg for money different people just sit and take drugs, there are thieves and people who fight, drunk people.
night in the city looks different than a day

better karma

And also GOOD, LONG story wit MANY, GOOD and LONG side quests also side quests should have some big consequences, and u should't have to make everything that the main quest ask u to do

And also more levels and more perks, perks in the fallout 3 were really not cool and i wasn't happy, jumping around like in other fallouts when i had a chance to gain one, so i want more perks and BETTER perks

We have already seen fat characters in Fallout, three of which were especially of note. Two of these, Gizmo and Big Jesus Mordino, were wealthy mob bosses, which explains where they got so much food. Another, Vic, is a pretty well off merchant (until the incident with the slavers). And the only character from New Vegas that we have heard of in previous games was actually a fat mobster (mentioned by Tycho in Fallout 1).

And it's not as if people get fat only from eating much. Some are just naturally built that way.

I guess, it might happen with Obsidian developing it since Bethesda isn't that great with making unique looking characters. The beast races in Oblivion being a good example.
oh, and what's the point of creating new thread???

Each thread gets capped at 200 posts, was originally done to ease server load but now they do it to keep threads on track.

Looks like I need to play more of the original fallouts, have just been playing 1 lately since I bought it on gog but still haven't got far in it, should get that and 2 done before NV comes out :P

BTW, getting radiation from everything you eat is stupid factually, as a gameplay mechanic, and in regards to franchise consistency. :)

There was a fat guy in fallout 1 I think. But I'd still like varience in weight, fat or thin.

that would be the jolly old fart known as...Gizmo.

A game using a new engine wouldn't be made so quickly.

It'll be updated, I mean Morrowind uses the same game engine but you can see that it's been updated a lot since that game came out. Besides, another engine would probably have a different construction set which would take some time for people to switch to.

yeah...hopefully obsidian knows what they are doing with the engine, this would be their first time using the engine and construction set.

Bsoft sent them a few of their own people to help. Don't recall where I read, but it really isn't all that odd.

The Outcasts in the West Coast don't make any sense, given that this is where the main Brotherhood forces operate, and they are much more like the Outcasts than the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood.

They could have made it out west, and joined up with the Western Brotherhood again. But it depends on when NV takes place? Whether it's before FO3 or after? And if so, how far after?

But Outcasts are exiles, they went far away, LV is not a place fully guarded by BoS, they just have a base, like the Citadel.

Hair styles like this

and eye liner like in that picture too
and the option to apply make up.
It was stupid you had to go to pinkerton to and get plastic surgery just to put make up on in fallout 3.So the ability to put bows in your hair and to buy makeup and apply it.
But the make up will wear off eventually and you have to buy more.
Who likes my idea?

Then I want anything pertaining to the Sub genres of Metal such as Thash, Viking and Folk. Such as long hair for my male character along with long beards/braided beard.

Yeah, you've got a point, NV takes place around 2070 so there should be some outcasts I think, or maybe they don't exist yet...

I doubt that metal subculture even existed in Fallout's alternate timeline, which was culturally very much grounded in the 1950s.

They could have made it out west, and joined up with the Western Brotherhood again. But it depends on when NV takes place? Whether it's before FO3 or after? And if so, how far after?

Then they wouldn't be Outcasts anymore, but simply members of the real Brotherhood.

But Outcasts are exiles, they went far away, LV is not a place fully guarded by BoS, they just have a base, like the Citadel.

The Outcasts are a group of BoS members in the Capital Wasteland that rebelled against Lyons because they consider him a traitor to original Brotherhood ideals. They do not exist outside the Capital Wasteland, as anywhere in the proximity of Lost Hills, they would simply rejoin the regular BoS forces.

Yeah, you've got a point, NV takes place around 2070 so there should be some outcasts I think, or maybe they don't exist yet...

First, we don't know when NV takes place. Second, 2070 was even before the Great War. Third, the Outcasts were founded much later than that.

As long as they don't incorporate it with the males, I have no problem with it (though it would be funny to see some cross dresser, wearing make-up in the middle of the wasteland?) Probably won't happen though, because I don't think they'll focus on the make-up and hair scene, like they will with the other things.

That may be, because the art isn't from bethesda. Also the cinematics like the teaser are http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Ausir/Makers_of_BioShock_cinematics_working_on_Fallout:_New_Vegas a team that made that stuff for Bioshock, so it might explain some.

I don't think you'll get your wish, since FO sticks to 50s genre hair styles like has been said before. Anime, doesn't exactly fit into the FO world I wouldn't think.
