What is your LEAST favorite race?

To be honest? Probably Bretons. Because they're just not... as distinct as the other races. There's very little to make them stand out to me.

So much Argonian hate in this topic. I'm a sad, sad lizard.
Yeah, I'm surprised! I thought argonians were among the more popular races, especially in the rule 34 department. But I can see that they're too far removed from the other races to many people, being hist-born and all.

As for my least favourite race, the obvious choice would be altmer, although I've begun a thalmor char and he's grown on me. My second pick is Breton. I don't care wether it's their fault, they make The Reach such a cluster[censored]. And there's something about High Rock society that rubs me the wrong way. Also, are they elves or humans?! Such a travesty!

I can see that the imperials are the newcomers in the series, but I only played Oblivion before, and I like the idea of a cosmopolitan, highly insitutionalised culture inspired by the roman empire, and not elf[censored] mcdouchenoggins.

edit: I'd also add that I'm not too hot on the concept of magical wood elves that are pure and in harmony with nature and fart unicorns, although their pact of cannibalism earns them a couple of points in my book. They were contenders for least favorite race in Oblivion (or at least the males), but they've stopped offending my senses in Skyrim for the most part.

They`re not newcomers, they`ve been around since Daggerfall and Morrowind.

Not Daggerfall. They were introduced as a playable race in Morrowind.

Nope, just Morrowind. Along with Orcs they are the newest in the series.

And Orcs were in Daggerfall so they are the newest

I have no interest in playing a Redguard. Dunmer and Bosmer are just meh to me. I kind of like the Altmer. Good magic bonuses and the chance to play the "evil empire".

The Beast races are just fine. In fact I would like to see playable Sload and Imga in the future.

1. Thalmor
2. Falmer
3. Hagravens

I pretty much kill any and all on sight. It definitely made the main quest harder!

Altmer: uglies elf race (and that is saying something) and their over all presentation in Skyrim as unlikeable f#&%nuts is very well done indeed.
EDIT: Sorry of cource I mean the Thalmor race, obviously, my mistake! :bunny:

If the Belethor voice actor NPCs were a race, I'd chose them, and petition a cleansing purge.

The Altmer are my least favourite race in terms of my real life personality. I could very happily roleplay an Altmer though, there is no race I would enjoy less than others, just the Altmer conflict most with my own personality and values. If we are talking least favourite to play, well anything with a tail is odd because I always found the idea of having it poking through the back of your trouser very strange

I like every race, some less than others but I never ever play the human races as I just don't care for them. Same goes for Khajit and Argonians even though they are much cooler with regards to background and looks. Don't know, I'm just an elfophile I guess *shrugs*

Khajiit: They whine and moan about not being let into cities because people think they're thieves....then they act like thieves and crooks at every opportunity. Even J'zargo, the mage. I've been killing them as I see them for a while. They don't deserve to step foot in Skyrim.

Dark Elves: The accursed wankers whine about not being liked and all that...but they contribute absolutely nothing to society. The lot of them can go back to Morrowind...or should I say Argonia?

The Argonians are a fine people. I would gladly accept them into the Aldmeri Dominion.

I have a distaste for Orcs.

Altmer are my favorite race. Some of them are quite full of themselves but not all, not even a majority.

Altmer. Never liked the visual of them, they spent most of the games with a crippling weakness statwise, and even in Skyrim their racial abilities are marginalized at best by mid-late game.

All the Elvin races in this game are botched. The back-stories for them are uninspired. The cultural clutter the game puts around them to make them seem interesting is uninteresting. Each Elvin race is one note and much of it is not memorable or understandable to new players. A new player coming and will not care what the different elves are like because none of it is presented very well or very clearly.

They could be cool, if they were re-worked. However, they would have to be totally torn down and built up from scratch so that they make sense and in a cohesive world with a cohesive history is richer.

So you're pro-enclave, and pro-altmer? I'm sensing a pattern here :P.

Argonians and Khajit. Argonians look stupid (Jurassic Park animatronic things wearing armor). Khajit look and act like furries. They just don't seem to fit in with everything else way too much on the fantasy side. Yes the Khajit have been around for a long time and the Argonians have for a moderate one - but they are pretty stupid looking and not very threatening.
