I think all of the races have their place; but in terms of characters I'd create, it'd never be a cat or a lizard. I already own a cat that pisses on the carpet if her box isn't changed every other day; I've also owned lizards/reptiles; they're stupid and stink to high hell. I'm indifferent to Orcs. To me they don't fit in the game because of my 30 year conception of them as Tolkien portrayed them. In the game they remind me a lot more of Klingon's from Star Trek than anything that belongs in Skyrim.

My least favorite race was the Elves, that was before I killed them all. Now it's the Orcs... ask me again next week.

Redguards are my least favorite, especially in skyrim...in oblivion they at least resembled black people...now all redguards look like white people with super dark skin...

They are inspired by middle-eastern cultures. What did you expect?

So I've seen more threads than I care to count asking about your favorite TES race, but I haven't heard much about the races you all hate with the burning passion of a thousand suns! So what's your least favorite race?

For me it's the Altmer... I've found them obnoxious, over-confident, and stuck-up, in every TES game I've played, and now this whole Thalmor thing just puts them over the top. Or under the bottom I suppose?...

Anyway, discuss away! What's your least favorite race and why?

SO...
What is your LEAST favorite race?

HUMAN?

Pretty awesome tbh, if he'd not used his vocal cords as a meat grinders in Skyrim (or whatever that sound is), I may have liked him better!
I like it, though it fits more menacing roles than the casual shopkeeper.

Argonians. I can't believe how much wheed must've been smoked at the Bethesda studio the night they decided Argonians were a great idea.

In Skyrim, I think the Wood Elves (Bosmer) and Redguards are the least developed. The Bosmer are really the invisible race in Skyrim. I can only think of two Bosmer npcs and none of those are particularly unique or interesting.

Usually I would say the Bretons are the least interesting, but they breathed life into that race in Skyrim with the Forsworn of the Reach and the tribal/witchcraft stuff. They are a bit like the ancient Celtic tribes of Europe with their tattoos and strange religion.

My favorites? Argonian, Khajiit, Nord and Breton. Least favorite? Probably Bosmer. Don't seem that useful to me. I rarely play a pure archer.

ive also had a really hard time holding onto Khajiit and argonian characters...i really like the idea of them, but the tails constantly sticking out of the armor always make me just delete it after a few levels...

Redguards aren't Black people.

Redguards aren't Black people.

Yeah, thats a bit odd.
There are three European-variant races in the game : Imperials, Bretons, Nords.
While the Redguard-race is a catch-all for everything from the equivalents of Persians to black Africans.

I'm glad there's such a wide variety of races in the game.

As for my least-favorite, I guess it would a toss up between Argonians (for lore reasons; I played a Dunmer and Argonians from Black Marsh are the most recent invaders of Morrowind) and Altmer (because of the Thalmor).

He voiced Enclave troops in Fallout 3? How [censored] awesome is that?

I'm also pro-Galactic Empire (Star Wars), pro-Tevinter Imperium (Dragon Age), pro-a lot of other villains.
Not just villain love though, I align myself with people that have actual goals, and rational explanations for them. I am most certainly not a fan of, say, Nazi Germany (Real Life), Master's Army (Fallout 1), the Reapers (Mass Effect) or Caesar's Legion (New Vegas).

Caesar's Legion wasn't the only villain in New Vegas: I think the NCR was a villainous nation too.

Least favorite: Nords. Dull as dishwater. Easily the least inspired race in Tamriel.

I happen to like Altmer. Sure, they're dikes, but at least you know where you stand with them: they hate everybody. For some reason, whenever I play an Altmer, I feel more confident. :)

I like Argonians, too, plausibility be damned. They're just beautiful. Like snakes.

I really do not like the Bosmer. IDK why, but I will never play one. Every other race I have played except the Bosmer.
