Where are all the oldies?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 12:27 pm

I still keep reading this topic title as "where are all the toilets?" I think I've been traumatised for life by the lack of public conveniences in Oblivion.

Just use the streets of Bravil - everyone else does.

Fair point!

You do have me wondering though - all those sewer networks, with no toilets? Why are they even there?

Wait you '10-ers think you're old?

I honestly didn't even know my join date til this thread... I know I joined after I needed the answer to a (totally mundane) Oblivion question though I'd been a lurker before that. :)

I really feel like I should have more stars after 5 and a half years... ;)

God, I was annoying back then.

[snip]

Yep, I know what you mean. My older account was actually "lost" to me at some point? Why? Because I was an annoying little teenager at the time. Now I'm just an annoying 20-something. Looking back, I'm amazed that I had the mental capacity to even do anything on the forums back then.

I did win the HeavyJack avatar contest in May 2005, which was probably the highlight of my foruming career. I was awarded the "rights" to a private Morrowind Mod, that I don't think I ever ended up playing. For this reason, however, I keep this "funny-to-only-a-14-year-old" avatar. Nostalgia.

Suppose I'm a bit wizened by today's standards too. Completeley agree with the above, this account is pretty much a eulogy for my 15 year old self. Good times.

EDIT - looking thru the rest of the thread, good to see a few oldies I remember cropping up. Also plenty who I don't, but they probably don't remember me either ;)

I have been around since Morrowind although under a different name. I basically had to remake my account after some hacking incident a while back. I take very long hiatus from here though between games.

Still here. Had an older account but forgot passwords to a lot of sites after my house burned down. So I had to start this new account.

Why doesn't your avatar move anymore? It used to be that I could never go into a thread without zooming into hyperspace... :P

Funny that I still see myself as one too.

Reason I don't come here so often anymore is that I know have a busy job, so not always have the time or energy to visit. Most visits I just lurk as well, so won't be hittong my sixt star anytime soon. Five years back is when I spent most my time here (and made most posts) but those days are long gone.
I do visit the Skyrim forums now, though, unlike most "oldies", even have some posts there. But after 11-11 I will take a long break from that, when hell breaks loose there.

My account isn't even a year old, but I've been lurking a little before Oblivions release. I don't know why it took five years for me to make an account.

Edit: I actually joined to join in on the "unofficial TESV speculation" discussion, I sat here speculating for just a couple of weeks before it was announced. Funny how it all happened. I plan on being here for awhile though, even if my activity dies down a little after Skyrims release.
