I've always had a thing for Vaults, so I'd definetly take the best room in Vault 21 :)
If not, I'd probably just find some deserted house out in the wastes and make it my personal mansion :hehe:

Alright guys, housing was a big deal for quite a few folks (me included), not quite as big of a deal for others. Mine would have to be taking over the Luxor hotel and calling it mine.

Luxor? Are you talking about chris angel's place? it's not in New Vegas.

I would like an actual house to live in and own like the ones in Minefield, but you own and can decorate. Not a fan of apartments or hotel living. It's sad that the house in Megaton was bigger than your suite in Tenpenny.

I don't know what my settlement of choice will be, and I also don't know if I will even get a house. I might just be nomadic if you can carry around bedrolls.

I was especially fond of having Tenpenny Towers as my own home. (Everyone in it was dead, so I could store everything wherever I wanted.)
If there is another type of tower like that in FO:NV, I am surely going to raid it and claim it as my home.

either.

Primm- i would want the house to be as close to dinky the dinosaur as possible.

Nipton-after me and my buds from the N.C.R wipe out the Legion and Invulcta.

Goodsprings- depends how the place looks

my second play-(my alchoholic, chain smoking, high roller) probbably start off in a [censored] apartment and eventually a suite at the ultra luxe

I'd like to live somewhere like a Tenpenny Tower that doesn't require you to do anything evil to get in. Multiple houses would be nice since I'd also like to maybe have a room on a BoS base and maybe one in the NCR base too. I'd like to be able to stay at the main Caesar's Legion base too for my later evil character. Ooh, and maybe a place like Reilly's Rangers' base too.

I really liked my little suite on the top floor of Tenpenny Tower so I'd preferably like to get something on par with that if possible. :tops:

I think that it would be cool if we found a small town of people who are constantly tormented by Ceasers legion and the NCR because they are in the line of fire between the 2 factions who are both trying to flank the other. So my idea is that some what like we could upgrade the traders inventory from FO3 we could upgrade the towns defenses, the armor of the soldiers, the weapons the shops and the structures of the town. Heres the list of things to add to the town.

Town Defenses By upgrade level:
1. Adds wooden spikes sticking out of the ground surrounding the city pointing away from the city.
2. As part of a mini quest: Create metal rods from scrap metal to make a Barbed wired fence around the town.
3. with 10k caps, adds wooden watch towers to the town.
4. With 100 scrap metals, adds a light steel fence around the town.
5. with 50k caps adds a concrete wall around the town.
6. with 100k caps adds Concrete Bunkers, trenches and Land mines to the outskirts of the town.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Town Soldiers armor, weapons and recruitment upgrades:
1. Leather armor
2. Metal armor, with 10 scrap metal per soldier.
3. Heavy Metal Armor, 20 more scrap metal per soldier.
4. Power Armor, 5k caps persoldier.
Weapon upgrades
1. Throwing Javelins and Claw Gauntlets. 1 throwing javelin and claw gauntlet per soldier.
2. 9mm pistol, one 9mm pistol per soldier + five 9mm ammo per solider; You don't have to keep restocking them.
3. Assault rifles: 1 assault rifle + 27 ammo for each soldier, whatever assault rifle you give they will use.
4. Sniper rifles: 1 sniper rifle + 5 ammo per soldier.
5. Gatling Guns: 1 heavy machine gun + 100 ammo per soldier.
6. Laser/Plasma weapons: 1 laser/plasma weapon per soldier + how much ammo u want to add to the soldier which is bought and isn't infinite.
Recruitment Upgrade
1. 5 soldiers + 100 caps for each.
2. 5 more soldiers + 150 caps for each.
3. 10 more soldier + 250 caps for each.
4. Max of 10 soldiers are trained to use Assault rifles
5. Max of 4 soldiers are trained to use sniper rifles.
6. Max of 5 soldiers are trained to Gatling guns.
7. Max of 10 soldiers are trained to use Laser weapons.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Town Trading shops
1. invest 10k into 5 shops to allow for them to have roaming traders, you get 10% weekly profit from each shop.
2. Invest 2k into each shop for upgrades on item like leather armor becomes metal armor.
3. Invest 5k into each shop for Higher upgrades on shop and 5% more profit.
4. invest 5k into each shop which lets them set up shop in many different cities which also increases your income by 5% and adds guards to the traders.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Town Buildings
1. Makes wooden huts: 5k
2. Makes Metal shack: 100 scrap metal per building or 1k caps per building.
3. Make Metal building: 150 scrap metal or 5k per building.
4. Concrete Building: 15k per building.
5. Concrete Building with Steel Beams (For Multiple Level): 4 steal Beams, 1S.B. made from 5 scrap metal. 50k per building which adds a soldier post to the roof.
6. Adds a Vault and workshop to the building which lets them make their own products instead of Bartering, this adds 10% income: 125k per building + 4 steal beams per building. ( The Vault is used to store money so that if the town was to be attacked and succesfully pilvaged the people of the town and money would be safe.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Town Complete: Upgrades
1. Battle Ready: Depending on which side you join; there is added barricades, road blocks, High Level auto turrets and friendly trained Geckos and other animals ready to fight any hostile force that threatens the city. 200k
2. Underground tunnels which is like fast travel for hardcoe mode and adds trap doors to certain places in the desert. 50k for each city a tunnel is dug to.
3. Town Expansion- Going up: With 500 scrap metal or 250k, adds ramps and buildings going up hill which work like Megaton.
4. Town Expansion- Going Down: Adds living quarters with mini quests for the people living inside the towns new underground vault system. 500 scrap metal or 250k
5. Super City: Behind our battle ready soldiers, animals and robots is another wall made of concrete with steel beams inside to make a stronger wall. It also has even higher level turrets on top of the wall along with Cages filled with Deathclaws that can be lowered on to the Battle field as a last resort.

Obviously not any of this will make it into the game and everything I have said here would be part of a mini game. I know this isn't Fable but Fallout doesn't have to be 100% about trying to survive on your own. If somebody can take down an entire alien ship with a cowboy, a samurai, a soldier and a little girl then im sure somebody could make a good city out of some ramshackle old town.

I like the idea of multiple places ranging from an inexpensive $#!@ apartment, a log cabin in or around jacobstown, to the full fledged penthouse in New Vegas, I heard the latter is something you earn from being a good customer to the casinos( AKA being a high roller)
