Where would you like to call "home"

Post » Sat May 14, 2011 2:59 am

Alright guys, housing was a big deal for quite a few folks (me included), not quite as big of a deal for others. Mine would have to be taking over the Luxor hotel and calling it mine. It would be sweet if you could actually hire people, like guards and what not (be like Allister Tennpenny). Where would you guys want to call home??

The ruins of Las vegas flood control tunnels. I would like to set up camp in some forgotten bunker attached to it. Since vegas looks to be in good shape I think I would also Like to set up shop in some presidential sweet in one of the big casinos.

It would be sweet if you could make a living of actually owning a shop or casino. You hear that Obsidian?

Some little dump I have to pay rent on in the poorest part of New Vegas. Not a fan of the high life.

I would want to live in an ultra-modern (by this game's standards, lol) apartment building somewhere in Vegas. I liked the idea in FO3 of purchasing amenities for your homes, so I wouldn't mind seeing that expanded upon.

In a hangar or the air traffic control tower of Nellis AFB, or somewhere in the base atleast.

"Make a living" ? As in, you want a rent payment system established for housing? Jobs in the game too?

I think I would live at the airport, assuming the developer does a good job with it. :)

I wouldn't want to, I am a traveler.

I'd like to scour the wastes never settling anywhere, free.

Personally, I would like to live in a small, dirty village kind of like Megaton, but that it grows and become more populated if you invest money in it or help the inhabitants. A bit like Assassins Creed 2. And maybe you could talk people into moving there..? I want to see things change based on your actions. And it has to be a Moira Brown-like character there. Someone who is positive and kind no mather what happens. I love Moira Brown!

Generally, I favor modest, but cosy. To a degree it will depend on story and typical living conditions in the game world. Happily, it's not an area I worry about much since if I don't care for the accomodations provided in-game, there will likely be a mod that provides something that suits me better.

Personally I think an acquirable backpack with a bedroll and a tent would be cool and unconvential outside of the modding scene or some sort of mobile trailer.

Maybe an airport graveyard, setting up home in the hulk of a rusting plane but with all the seats ripped out inside and furniture inside.

that would be pretty cool. An old bomber, or something of that size so it has enough space in it.
