Who remembers the hype from last year?

Post » Mon Jul 16, 2012 6:54 am

It's ok, there's plenty of them for everyone!

Again, he did overhype the game like Peter from Fable did, that is true

I watched a couple of Todd's previews and don't recall overhype. The only thing I recall hearing that didn't materialize is the economy changing from your actions. Maybe people let themselves get overhyped, or they're being overly critical of what is really an amazing game.

Yeah, but he said it would recongise the players actions and make each story unique. That was [censored].
Well yeah. *shrugs*

Nah, there was a lot of features that were exaggerated

Oh, so the creation kit coming out in February instead of January constitutes a "lie"?

That's the level of "constructive criticism" of the forum. It's no wonder the devs don't come here.

He somehow owns two companies. One that doesn't have the rights to Fable and one that also doesn't. Todd gave up on Lionhead so much, that we forgot how to spell his name.

Guess if I meant Peter is the the first and Todd is the second.

We had lots of developers come in here to chat with us constantly last year. They do come here every now and then.

Where, I have never seen that. I also thinks bethesda doesn't really listen to its fanbase. The only company that I think does that is Bioware

I avoided all hype except the first batch of screenshots and was still disappointed that it didn't have what past TES had. I can't believe there's no quest directions.

There are quest directions, what do you mean?

Well, technically, yes.

We were told January, we got February. I'm not mad that it was delayed. If they needed more time to polish it, so be it. It was still a lie, though.

I'm posting these as a joke. Why is everyone getting so butthurt?

It lived up to the hype. It's a beautiful, moddable TES game. What's not to love?

It's obvious not everything in the preview videos will be in the final game. While some is going to be marketing "lies", a lot of it is just features that probably didn't make the cut, or they ran out of time to do.

Again, a small release date set back is something really minor and something you have to expect whenever a game is announced, so in a way, it's not too bad.

Yeah, and I totally understand why it would be held back. It's a lie, but a really minor one.

Notch?

He stopped running it a few months ago. Now Jeb is running it. He's even better then Notch.

No I'm not. There were many features that were in Morrowind that people constantly complained that they weren't in Oblivion, and possibly the only one they brought back is enchanting.

They did it a lot, but they didn't post topics of their own. Most often the devs would drop some comments in threads that really exploded.
Some of them would even hint at the races that weren't all announced yet.

Skyrim is a great game. It's not as much of an RPG as I'd like it to be, but it's still a great game. Out of all the games you can bash on, Skyrim should be on the bottom of your list. Bethesda is one of the few game companies out there that still have 'integrity'.
