What race did you choose to be, and why ? Just wondering, I personally have been the same race throughput all TES games,

I'm an orc because berserker rage let's me do double damage which helps me in both melee combat and assasinations.

I've always used beast races (not humanbecause I'm already a human in RL). Argonian and Orc mostly, they tend to be hated because they are different and difference is the what makes us beautiful IMO.

I'm a Redguard because they are greatly unappreciated by the community and I'm a Dunmer because they are by far the most interesting race in tamriel and have some of the most unique cultures in all of Nirn

Well said, i play as a nord even thpugh most can be stereotyped as dumb or ignorant,

I kinda hate that, I've met a lot of tolerant and wise nords in my travels in TES but then again stereotypes are idiotic and the people who believe in them are even more idiotic.

In this game I'm only a Altmer, Bosmer, Dunmer, Imperial, Redguard or Breton.

I can't realistically role play a Nord who knows nothing of his country, a Khajiit that is allowed into cities, an Argonian that is accepted in cities or an Orc that knows nothing of the Stronghold lifestyle.

The others can be explained, which I play depends on the kind of character and history I want that character to have. Currently I'm playing an Imperial because it fits with the story I gave him.

I am.. an Altmer, a Nord, and an Imperial. And these are races I never played in any other TES game! I just love the way ALL the races look in this game, and had to try something different. Loving them all!

The orc can be one of them namby pamby city born orcs :P as for Argonians, its only Windhelm that segregates them.

Nord Male, Dark elf female and a Redguard male. I have zero preference and just try to experience different things that the game has to offer.

If I create another character, it'll likely be an Orc. That is what I set out to do last time, but my male Orc warrior/barbarian ended up being a female dark elf mage. Not sure how that happened......

Orc isn't a beast race, its a race of mer aka elvish race...notice the ears :P
orcs rule though and i like altmer for my mage but skyrim is the first time i'm using a nord and he's my fav build yet. The beard and battlescars on his face make all the difference

City born Orcs aren't real Orcs :( You are right of course, but I hate being a city born Orc. It takes away all the good parts about being an Orc and focuses instead on the bad parts.

Argonians are true too, but I still feel weird playing as one. I just can't justify walking into Windhelm as an Argonian...

Nord, Breton or Imperial so far in Skyrim. Though in Oblivion I had a couple Dunmer characters.

I RP my Nords as haveing grown up in Bruma or Bravil as the towns have good sized Nord Population. It explains why they don't know much about their homeland and why they get reason's why they are comming to Skyrim.

Niamh is a Bosmer, I'm a human.
She dislikes male humans but she tolerates me because I help her out from time to time.
Besides that we've known each other for quite a while so she's kind of alright with me around I guess.

Also I write about her, and I think she secretly enjoys that, although she wasn't overly happy about it to start with. I consider it a small price for her to pay for my advice and the occasional nudge in the right direction, however!
She enjoys the company as well I reckon, although she'll never admit that.

We argue from time to time but overall I think we get on quite well. I'm kind of glad she's on the other side of the screen though, because she's as mad as a box of frogs and about as predictable...

My test-char was a redguard, because the racial skill bonuses fitted the way i wanted to play. My second char was argonian, because they look cool. My third one is a breton, just to counter those damned mages.

In Morrowind I was a dark elf, but in Oblivion and especially here in Skyrim I play as a Breton. Fits my spellsword build well and I just really like them

Started with Morrowind and grew a fondness for Dark Elves have played one in every TES game I get my hands on. Even went back and played Arena and Daggerfall. In Skyrim I play Salen Drath he does just about anything for money from helping out the College to assassinating people for the Dark Brotherhood. If there is a peaceful solution he'll take it as he only want their gold not their life.

I also started a Nord to join the Stormcloaks (Very hard for my Dunmer to join them which he really can't with seeing his people treated in Windhelm) His name is Erik The Outcast I suppose he really doesn't have a story yet, all I got so far is he's a warrior he won't sneak around and he's heard the news of Skyrim's troubles and has come to aid his people. He also hates the Empire.
