Why Bethesda, why?

I agree that there should have been a change race/appearance option. Sometimes it helps to see my character in action before I can decide whether or not I like their appearance. It would be nice not to have to go through Helgen again if I just wanted to change their hair color.

When I do anything over and over, it will become tedious. Try playing with a character for at least 20 levels or so before starting a new one, if going through Helgen is that much of an issue. Let the character "blossom" before creating yet another new one.

I still can't understand why you have to play thru the entire ehelgen tutorial if you don't like your char, you make it, turn the camera and watch him, and then reload a save before you pick the race, simple as that

that's why they allow you to save BEFORE making a char, you can start from there and make as many as you want, and at least you won't have to see the carriage animation again

I think the magic system of Skyrim is silly, Bethesda should scrap magic for TES VI.
Again. Some want the option, give it to them. It's a minor change, why not implement it? It won't hurt your experience, but enhances that of others. How is that silly?

Ah, I get it. Make a completely unrelated point so that your argument looks better.

As for it being silly, do I really need to explain why it breaks the illusion a little bit to have a dialog box randomly pop up and ask me if I'm sure my character actually looks like this? It made a little more sense when you were deciding things that had an impact on gameplay, like your class. But you aren't anymore.

See, I can do this. Playing for an extra 10 minutes to get through Helgen doesn't hurt your experience, but it enhances that of others.

I could say the same...

anyway, if you like "elaboration" : you make a character that you don't like, start over. why changing it after helgen (that lasts about 10 minutes max) if you notice your char is not good or you dont' like it, you notice right away, i mean if you make an altmer and you wanted a khajiit, just start over...is it that hard to comprehend?
Been thru the tutorial about 30 times already. EDIT: A few have made it into the 20's & 30's level-wise, but I stopped playing them as I wanted to try different things. /EDIT. It gets boring and is really unnecessary if they did like in OB. Maybe next time I will just run the whole way thru. Wonder if you can run straight thru without fighting anyone (except maybe to get that first key). Will try that with the next character I make.

And as others have said. It has nothing to do with "not liking the character". It is about trying new RP opportunities, different races, different combat styles.(to quote you)..."is it it that hard to comprehend?"

And you can do that, but you can't skip it. So what are you talking about? There is no way to skip the tutorial for people who start over more often. Yet you can play through the tutoral as much as you want to. Also, this has nothing to do with changing your class, as OP stated several times. I play my 7th or 8th character (stopped counting) and other people play loads of characters as well, They want to create NEW CHARACTERS not CLASSES. They also want to skip the tutorial. It would be an extra feature, so i ask you again: Why not give it to them? Oh i know your answer... It's silly.

Umm why? he's right. It was just a dumb move not to include a recustomization option before leaving helgen cave.

Why?

The only irrevocable decision you made was the race and appearance of your character. And if you get out of Helgen and decide you want to change it, just go back to the initial save and play for 10 minutes with your new beard.

Do you ever wonder why most games have a yes/no option on whether or not you want to see the tutorial? It's because some people play more than once and don't need a reminder of how controls work. They want to get into the game not get forced into the same situation over and over again.

Whenever you go to drive your car do you first sit down with a driving instructor and go over the rules of the road again? You can do it if you want to, but if you still know how to drive just fine, it's a bit weird.

Based on what happens in this game to your character with the Chargen screens after the Tutorial, I can see why they disabled this feature. I still don't like it, but I can understand why.

Skyrim "tutorial" is not even close to other boring games tutorials, you can get stuff you'll need for your character and start to level up (it's not really a tutorial)

because it was stupid...and they realized it
Yes because providing players with a convenient little option like that is stupid.

So the option to change your character is offensive to you.

Pretty crazy, man.

My thoughts exactly. I don't understand why they argue so fiercely against it. As if it would completely ruin their game.

no, the option to change it 10 minutes after I created it is useless to me, simple

I understand more that can be useful an option to change the looks after a while, like a barbershop as someone suggested

And it wasn't useless to others. So why do you feel the need to deride other people for wanting it?

You should change your attitude. Telling people what to do, based on your personal preference, is not the way to go.

I'm not, I'm just explaining why I don't think is useful, and actually I been called: ignorant, butthurt, weird, stupid and crazy + I wasn't deriding anyone

Explain to me how the option to change your character at the end of the tutorial hurt your game? How did it cause you so much pain to be this bitter and argumentative about it?You see and then simply skip it while others may benefit form it so what the big deal?

All the while you made derisive, snarky remarks to those who hold opposing opinions, sounds like a wash to me...

seriously, what are you talking about?

because they noticed it was useless, since there's an option called "new game"
I mean, pick a race, play 5 minutes, don't like, start over...

this was my opinion, I can't see any derisive stuff here
