Why Bethesda, why?

I wasn't deriding anyone

...i'm speechless
I could say the same...

anyway, if you like "elaboration" : you make a character that you don't like, start over. why changing it after helgen (that lasts about 10 minutes max) if you notice your char is not good or you dont' like it, you notice right away, i mean if you make an altmer and you wanted a khajiit, just start over...is it that hard to comprehend?
dude, I have no problems at all, you are just assuming that I do, I just said that it was an useless feature and I got no problems at all if it has been removed.
the only butthurt I see here is you, since you can't accept if someone disagrees with you.

and again, that "tutorials" lasts like 10 minutes, no big deal to play thru it every time for me...
now you know what "opinion" means, good boy

de·ri·sive
Mocking; jeering.

derisive - abusing vocally; expressing contempt or ridicule

where exactly did I tell you or someone else what to do?

Where?

I mean, pick a race, play 5 minutes, don't like, start over...

i mean if you make an altmer and you wanted a khajiit, just start over...is it that hard to comprehend?

And here, you dispute someone else's opinion.

and 10 minutes can't be tedious...

So, something about glass houses applies here.

In this thread. You told them to just play the 10 minutes through the tutoral, because you don't care about it, and would not give them a second character creation screen at the end of the tutorial.
It seems as if you just don't want some to have a litte more freedom in their choice. But this is enough now, I derailed it to far, so i'll take my leave with my final words being: I would be happy for the console crowd, if Bethesda would give people this second character creation.

I didn't tell anyone what to do, that was an example: play 10 minutes, if you don't like the char you made start over....you know,as an example of what happens to me when I play.

Stating an opinion and telling everyone else they're wrong for not sharing your opinion is the kind of the dividing line between the two.

Anyway the option would of been nice. The day I found out about just making a separate save file at the end of the tutorial for Oblivion I was so happy. It's simply a nice feature to have that does no harm.

no, the option to change it 10 minutes after I created it is useless to me, simple

I understand more that can be useful an option to change the looks after a while, like a barbershop as someone suggested

You still do not get it. I never said I wanted to change a character. I want to CREATE new ones without having to play through Helgen. Can i put this on a loop?

A single character takes me about 40 hours of play to "complete" (based on a sample size of 3). The 10 minutes of "tutorial" accounts for 1/240 of the time spent with the character, or less than .5 %. I consider this a non-issue.

and you can make a save before creating a char, and helgen lasts 10 minutes or less, should I put THIS on a loop? (and it's my opinion)

Ten mins is alot to some of us. Bethesda's open world is one of the key elements and reasons I even play this game. So why should IO be forced to play a tutorial dungeon that I do not need to enjoy a new character? That is my opinion, I was never really interested in yours.

Why did they not give us an option to change our character race and looks at the end of Helgen like the end of the sewers in oblivion? If I have to watch that awful intro and escape Helgen one more time just to statt a new character, I'm going to die of boredom. In oblivion I played many characters and I saved at the sewer gates so I could always start there edit my character and tjrn enter the world. I hope they csn add that in a dlc.

I actually agree with most of this., all except the "dying of boredom" part. I just started a brand-new character the other day (Crystal Beth) and assumed I'd drag thru the beginning of the game, but it was just as immersive as the first time I did it; maybe more so in certain ways.

But it svcks not having the option to change stuff just before exiting the tutorial. It means we have to do the beginning of the game whenever we start a new character. It's not possible to roleplay an alternate beginning. :(

Even though it's useless to you, you seem as if it would bother you to simply click on "ok, I want this to be my character" as much as other people to play the tutorial over and over and over again. The difference would be, you would only need to spare a second, every other person needs to spare 5-10 minutes.

I have 5 different characters on different levels between 5 and 65 and started another 4 (tried dead is dead with some). So now I basically run through Helgen in 5 minutes. With an option to change the race I would have only needed to do it twice and it would have given me about an hour more to explore the world.

The thing is: This option hurt basically no one, so why remove something which is just convenience for some people?
