Well, China is their main growth market now. Actually, I'd wager its their only growth market.
Well no because their server were down for over 12 months and even wrath of the lich king wasnt released, and this is from the blizzard page, and the fact that the chinese government are using prisoners to subsidise prisons by making money from selling gold online.
I dont think it makes any difference if they introduce dancing chickens as a playable class, WOW pretty much wrecked the lore of warcraft, and if they needed anything to make it a viable continuously viable game they should look at the mechanics and its balance, plus the gameplay, grinding instances, endlessly no matter what the expansion is called is basically what the game is, that and farming, they really need to change the way the game is played i played over 4 years and just couldnt see the inside of the same instance again day after day, or spend 4 hours in said raid instances, there is no variety in a single day its endless repetition.
Plus their character mechanics balance, even Blizzard owned up to this, they said they were having problems balancing PVP against PVE, even though it was simple, make PVP only no pve, just like online multiplayer PVP, and PVE online servers with no PVP battlegrounds, so each group had mechanics which worked for what they were built for, i had a hunter, which was wrecked because of so many complaints from PVP players, then they fixed it in WOTLK till one player got massive damage in an instance, then they destroyed the mechanics again.
Also the pandaren were requested by so many player for so long, and pandaria was still listed as part of the world, whether an easter egg or not it was an npc in warcraft 3, it wasnt a 1 second glimpse of an npc it was a viable npc, they put it in and blizzard was well known for doing such things, but adding a player character still doesnt change the core problems with the game.
