Wouldn't pc user be better betatesters?

Actually wouldn't xbox be the best for beta testing? No mods to interfere, all the same hardware, where as the pc may encounter problems from mod conflicts, or crashes from hardware issue.

Either way i'm just glad they've adopted the betatest idea, maybe most of the bugs will get ironed out

The difference in hardware on the PC is waaay better for testing compatibility, Radeon is not the same as Nvidea.

As name implies ...

Yes but Microsoft paid good money for Bethesda to ignore that fact.

hmmmmmm

i dont care who or what console beta tests it, i think more people just want it early and free

but i do own a 360 and applied to beta test, and my reasons for doing it are very clear:

-I cannot fix the problem, i report it and let an employee do thier job.
-360's are all the same, it will very rarely be a problem with you 360.
-no mods are trying to make the game do something it should not, just me playing the game.

as someone stated very early in the thread, when PC's beta tested alot of the problems were with the computer or conflicts with other mods. 360's dont have mods, if its any consolation we wish we did :(

So in a way you could argue that the 360 guys get to be the guinea pigs and do an initial beta test, then they might do a PC one for compatibility issues etc?

My god do I hope thats the case, the sour smell from these graqes is really starting to get to me.

Closing this for a possible clean up ............... possible.

OK, it is staying closed.

Wasn't the topic asking for a platform war in the first place? Surprised it wasn't slammed shut pronto.

Yes it was and it is now, I looked at it a couple of times in the hope it wouldn't deteriorate - in vain it seems.
