I'm sure the first video game I ever played was Super Mario on the SNES. My grandfather bought it for the grandkids. :)

I played arcade Pong in the mid/late 70's, then Black Jack on a TRS80 in the early 80's (took 30 minutes to load the cassette tape), and arcade Asteroids in the mid 80's. First game on a system I owned was AD&D Pool of Radiance on a Commodore 64 (8 5-1/4" floppies plus one more for saves).

My first game was Peter Pan on Super Nintendo. It might have been based on the movie Hook. I don't remember. It might have been on another system. It's been so long, I don't remember exactly and clearly. I just remember it was really adventurous slicing through the pirates like Wolverine which I played as Wolverine on another Super Nintendo game that was an X-men game I played. The game play wasn't that complicated...dang...Super Nintendo games and which was when I was really young playing at that time period of the world were always simple. Hehe, sorry. But yea, Peter Pan was a good game. It could have been called either Peter Pan or Hook.

It was 1990 (very very young), and in order to keep me quite during a 6 hour flight to Colorado, my mom gave me my dad's gameboy, which had http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_Land

I'd also like to ask, who here remembers the Sega Game Gear?

The earliest memories of gaming I have are Wolfenstein 3D, Myst, and some old Star Wars game who's name I can't recall. I do remember that it was shooter though.

Zaxxon. It was the DOS port, as my father was an early believer in the home computer. We never had any consoles until I bought myself a Wii after moving out of the house.

I'll guess that was around '87, when I was 4 years old.
