YOUR FIRST GAME?

Lego Racers? Sir I give you all my respect. I absolutely adored Lego Racers when I was a child.
Oh man I remember those games (the first two, anyway). They were great, some of my favourite games at the time and fun to play with my brother.
They sure were great. I loved to make new cars and take turns with my brother to race in the tournaments. We made a good team, or so we thought back then.

Its either http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvZdYnvRjH8 (GOD, I haven't heard that music sense I was four years old.) or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJX640N1zZU&feature=fvst. Too long ago to remember which one I played first. Now, the game I remember playing the most was the original Tekken on PSX. Also, there was this one game on the SNES, it was a brawler, and the boss I could never beat (i.e. the first one) was this four armed shogun guy in some wrestling ring. Sound familiar to anybody? Can't remember it's name for the life of me.

Mathblaster. It was a really old game that I played back in something like 2000. I would have been 4.

Pilot Wings, N64, first game I played (as far as I can remember)
I played that game so much, and did so terrible on it! Gotta say, it was sometimes more fun crashing into things than anything else, or missile barrages.

I remember playing the PC version of Harry Potter and the "sorceror's stone" (in the UK the book was called philosopher's stone) at age 5.

I know the first games I was my dad playing Star Wars: Rebel Assault, Megarace and Flight Sims. He let me play a little bit of Rebel Assault once in awhile. I think the first games I started playing on my own were learning games. Math Mountain (I think) going around catching stuff with a net and doing math. Most of the games I played on our first computer were learning games.

i *think* i made a thread like this months ago but im not sure.. anyway there are a lot of new members since then

what was the very first video game on a computer or console you ever played and on which platform and which year?

me - teenage mutant hero turtles, amstrad cpc 464, 1990 (yes, im old)

That isn't old,
My first game was playing Zelda on a Commadore 64 in a Kmart after school just about every night, I think it was 1982 or 1983, Back when the only way to play games was in an arcade most of the time. Ahhhhh the days of wasting thousands of quarters playing Donkey Kong and Tempest......lol
I mean yeah before that I played stuff like PONG in the late 1970's, but I really didn't call that a real game experience. More like moving a couple of lines up and down to watch a dot move across the screen. Zelda was my first REAL game.

Probably Pac-Man at an arcade. Not counting that, some random Elmo game for GameBoy Color, in which you had to help Elmo rescue his blanket from an evil helicopter.

Halo Combat Evolved when I was 6. I actually played a TON of oblivion at an early age and a lot of words I didn't understand would pop up and I would ask my mom what they meant, I seriously would say I had a much better vocabulary through school than my classmates did because of Oblivion.

I was really jealous when my neighbour got one of these things. And with a colour monitor! Much better than my crappy old Dragon. A chap from college had one too, with those odd little 3" floppy discs which at the time were potential competition to the 3.5" discs that eventually turned them into the Betamax of storage.

It was 1990 (very very young), and in order to keep me quite during a 6 hour flight to Colorado, my mom gave me my dad's gameboy, which had http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_Land

I'd also like to ask, who here remembers the Sega Game Gear?

I had a Game Gear. Only had two games for it, Columns & Road Rash. Road Rash never left the console though. Played that svcker all the time. I had the adapter of course, otherwise I would have only been able to play once or twice a month. That thing drained the batteries quick.

I think she meant that's when she first played it. I encountered it in about 1977/'78 (can't remember the exact year) although it wasn't new then. It was still rubbish, though!
