So I just woke up and noticed a grey thing rushing besides me. Turns out it was a spider ... in attack mode, one second later and it would have running all over my face.
Ugh, I've had that happen! :cold:

This morning, I was awakened by the stench of my baby having pooped. She was fussing but not crying, and just looking at me as if to say "I need you to change me RIGHT NOW". It was 5.30 in the morning. Wow ... the stink!

Waking up to the frenzied screaches, barbarous howls and animalistic roars of the children playing in the garden next door.

Or of neighbours living above me :pinch:

Are you out of your mind? How am I supposed to ever sleep again? Oh god.

That doesn't happen in reality, though :whisper: The parasites are in your food, not in your bed :hehe:

Ah, simple reason then - ghosts.

Yeah. At 2am, that's the only possible explanation my mind will accept. :ahhh:

When I wake up and realize all night I've just been waking up and sleeping in 1 hour bursts.

This. Which happens more times then I'd care to admit. Also, when the alarm goes off and I have to go to work.

I've mentioned it before, but I did once wake up to find a spider in my mouth, which was an uncomfortable realisation. Sadly, I don't think the spider was very well after the experience.

I hate waking up 10 to 20 minutes before my general time that I should wake up at... It really bugs me because that's not a lot of time for sleep -.-

Woke up in a pool of my own vomit, not alcohol-induced though since I was like 8. Don't know how I slept through it. Apart from that, the few times I've drunk enough to be really hungover have just been vile.

Well what you posted OP would probably give me something near to a heart attack. I have quite a few bad dreams of spiders and I hate waking up in the pitch black of night, I gotta turn on like 2 different lights then.

I also hate being waked up by water or someone talking to me when I want to keep sleeping.

The only thing I can think of is waking up from not nearly enough sleep. Like yesterday morning I woke up after only ~2 hours of sleep, and when I saw myself in the bathroom mirror I had the most tired and most ugly face in the history of mankind

EDIT: Oh yeah, I did wake up in a very unpleasant way in the summer of 2002, but I'm keeping that one for myself :P

These are my top three:

- Being woken up in the middle of the night by a raccoon crashing through my ceiling.
- Being woken up in the middle of the night by a tree falling on my house.
- Being woken up in the morning by my cat throwing up on my chest.

My ex used to pull the blankets off me to get me up - and I mean, like, she yanked those things clean off me and the bed. She thought it was funny every time she did it. To say that I got filled with rage is the most understated understatement that has ever been made in the entirety of human existence.

Waking up to those beeping alarms. I'd rather wake up to a badly tuned radio station, or a cat screaming in heat, or to the sound of nails on a chalkboard.

Waking up at 4:30 and knowing that there's no point going back to sleep when I have to get up in an hour and a half but I'm too tired to actually get up and too awake to go back to sleep anyway. That kind of svcks, but I'll take this over the preceding two any day of the week.

I'd never do that. Because I drag my other half out of bed by the ankles. Is that bad form?

How should I explain this...

Have you ever had an excruciating bowel movement(aka really painful lower abdominal pain) that hurt so bad, it woke you up and..well anyone who has had these know the rest.

THAT is the MOST unpleasant way I have ever woken up, and nothing in my life I believe well ever top that.

To be fair, he's only stating his preference. He's not saying it's wrong, or anything, unless I've misread his post.
