Yeah, the only SMGs that really excite me are the .22 SMG and hopefully the Tommy Gun. Hopefully there will be a full auto laser weapon too.

you mean similar to Colonel Autumn's laser pistol

That is correct, at least before Broken Steel went and ruined it.

Yeah well I agree
It would be nice to see an automatic energy based weapon that isn't a laser gatling gun.

Full Auto Laser Weapons sound awesome as well, I've always been a Small Guns/Energy Weapons sort of guy so I'm definitely looking forward to some (hopefully) new weapons and what kinds of modifications that Energy Weapons get. :tops:

Also I really hope they are just hiding the .45ACP or something, I really want a Thompson. :cryvaultboy:

Im looking forward to setting people on fire with the Shishkebab again. Hopefully Pyromaniac is still around for my Melee character. I can hardly wait for this game to come out. Must we wait another 42 days before we can enjoy all these new weapons and features!?!?!

I dunno. The grease gun (9mm) will be good, and the TDI or Kriss or whatever mix that is the annoyingly named CPCSMG, looks pretty cool to me.

Anyone else see this http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Legion_Sword

Looks really awesome I can't wait to make an evil character with the Legion who uses that blade. :tops:

Still hoping for that .223 (i think it was) pistol from Fallout and Fallout 2.

Always a favorite of mine.

This, for anyone unfamiliar

Alas, I see no .223 ammo.

I shed a single tear, quite melodramatically.

Same here. D: I'd also love a Sten, but I'm willing to trade that dream for my Thompson.

I'm hoping we have an Anti-Materiel Machine Gun as well. All "guns" ammunition except for one (that is still a mystery) will have two weapons using that ammunition. The only other thing I could think of besides another rifle using the .50 BMG round is a machine gun.

Guess who added that to the Vault? ;D

And yeah, I love it too. While .46ACP is our biggest gun nut here (possibly more than Sawyer), I am a blade nut, knowing pretty much everything about knives, swords, daggers, and pretty much anything with a blade. When I saw that photo my jaw was in awe.
I just wish we had a Gladius and Scutum though. Then I could be a true Legionnaire!

P.S. For the Legion!

.223 = 5.56, so fear not! It might be named something else if one is included though.

The Legion sword looks a little more like a Kukri to me. The blade is shorter and squatter than a falcata to my eye.

Edit: same concept I guess and it really doesn't matter when it's all said and done which one it looks more like.

Better than what you'd start with, but nothing too awesome.

Good for the beginning of the game, but less useful about midway through. The canteen and binoculars will probably continue to be effective throughout the game, but the grenade rifle, sturdy shotgun, 10mm pistol, and broad machete, not so much.

Then please God/Obsidian, put in a 5.56 Pistol in the tradition of the .223 Pistol.

Holy crap if they added a Man Portable .50 M2 Browning Machine Gun, I think my life would be complete... :tops:

There is an incredibly good chance that there will be one. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1114085-weaponsmods-and-ammo-mega-thread-2/page__view__findpost__p__16361449, but I think theres about a 75% chance it'll be in.

I'm with Volundarkvioa on this one. While both Kukri and Falcata have similar blade profiles, the Kukri usually has no quillons.

the only disapointing thing is that the shotgun Ive seen in vidios is not a winchester, (or at least its not any winchester Im familar with) but some odd combination of the defender and dearslayer(Ithaca shotguns) , but with a slightly longer block on the receiver.

Granted it could just be that they redid it slightly so that the drum magazine would fit, or the angle I am looking at the image of it is distorting it.

Not all of our gun designs are directly based on real-world weapons. Some are hybrids and others just pick and choose various elements.

Was that the Combat Shotgun in the Qore vid? If so, it looks awesome. I really liked the Fallout 3 Combat Shotgun and it would be a shame if it didn't return. Being able to mod such an awesome gun and go to town with some slugs would be incredible.
