My German is pretty much limited to what I learned from an exchange student last year and common roots. You have to help us out here. Where are the screenshots?

Falloutnow just happens to be an intersting site. It also happens to be in german. Did you know it has a news archive, much like NMA or the Vault?

I like the sounds of the new clock bomb. And I'm currently looking over candidates for the inspriation of the Single shot shotgun.

On a completely seperate note, did you know that the german words for news archive are eerily similar to english? The german word for picture is "bilder"? Or the german work for new is "neue"?

Hey. I guess I'll pose this question.

What are people's thoughts on a silenced ruger? Seems like it might be akward looking. I like it though.

And, do we have images up for the SMG's yet? I'm about to go check the wiki too, but I thought I'd ask.

Wow, you actually found them on the site? I got the links from Mr. Lexx on the Vault website since I couldn't find the photos. He was nice enough to provide links.

Also if you're having a hard time reading German, Google Chrome has a page translator built into it. I know a bit of German, but not near enough to fully understand the site.

Actually I ended up finding the New Vegas gallery, but the pictures weren't there. I did end up finding a couple of pictures of BoS members like http://www.falloutnow.de/forum/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=1419 and http://www.falloutnow.de/forum/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=1418. Wherever Malte is, I have to thank him for teaching me some German.

Edit: Found them. They were in a completely different gallery.

It's kinda like riding a bike. You get, old, forget stuff, try to do stuff you used to do, then some body part that doesn't quite work as well as it used to starts to hurt and you take a nap. In this case it was my brain. I need warm milk............................................

English is fundamentally a Germanic language (with a great deal of Norman French), so there's a lot of common ground.

The .22 Pistol reportedly looks like a shiny Ruger or Nambu. It would definitely be awesome if it could be scoped as well as silenced.

And, do we have images up for the SMG's yet? I'm about to go check the wiki too, but I thought I'd ask.

Our SMG list is getting a little muddled. Here is the jist of what were are completely certain of:

Confirmed NAMES of SMGs are Silenced .22 SMG and 9mm SMG. I know of no direct confirmation of the names of either the 10mm SMG or the inanely named "Cowboy Cyber-punk SMG".

Confirmed APPEARANCES of SMGs are the Silenced .22 SMG resembles the American 180, the 9mm SMG resembles the M3 "Grease Gun" and there is no confirmed name for the square-shaped, moderistic-looking SMG shown in two seperate screenshots. Could this be the model Josh will use for the 10mm SMG he has often discussed as an example in threads on DT, or is it a completely different weapon using a different ammo, like 5mm?

So as it stands, there are only 3 confirmed SMGs: Silenced .22, 9mm and what I am going to officially start calling the "PDW" until proven otherwiase (Personal Defense Weapon, which is what the square looking SMG seems to resemble the most. I also bet it is chambered in 5mm. We all know the words "cyber-punk cowboy smg" are going to fade into oblivion as soon as the game ships and we find the real name.)

To Do List:

1. We need to find a way to confirm if the 10mm SMG is in FO:NV in the same incarnation it was in FO3 or not. Has anyone see any screens or footage showing the FO3 10mm at all?

2. Determine the real name of the PDW styled weapon.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Cyberpunk_Cowboy_SMG

I have read that magazine and nowhere did it name the weapon shown in the picture. The originator of the wiki article has this to say on the discussion page you linked me to:

"It's probably not unique in that sense. I named it a little more on the silly side because it was the best I could come up with; the old article title was just 'SMG (Fallout: New Vegas)'. Nitty Tok. 21:45, July 8, 2010 (UTC) "

So to put this to rest, there is no weapon named "Cyberpunk Cowboy SMG".

On another note, the weapon in question looks like a conceptualized cross between a TDI and an Ingram.

Really?
Well if you have the magazine and this gun isn't in there then it should be removed of the wikia.
Did Nitpicker Of The Wastes troll?

post a link to a pic of the 9mm smg if you will.

i have been wanting to see a grease gun

There is no posted game footage availlable. It has been confirmed to be modeled after the M3 by two seperate forum contributors who have had the chance to play the demos at conventions. There is a posted pic of the weapon shown in the All Roads preview shots, accessable from the wiki, but this in and of itself, does not confirm the weapon in the game.

Really?

To reiterate, the weapon is real. I have seen two screenshots, (both I believe are scans, so I will not link to them) but the weapon remains unnamed. What is not real is the name Nittpickerofthewastes gave it on the wiki page. i have no problem with nitty, he had to call it something. I just disagree with what the placeholder name he used is.

Yeah I get that, I was the one who named Night Stalkers "Reptile Dogs" on the wikia because they looked like that and we didn't have a confirmed name.
So it's a placeholder name then.
I have to say it looks freakin' awesome.
None of the Guns have really interested me but this gun just looks brütal.

Yeah, the only SMGs that really excite me are the .22 SMG and hopefully the Tommy Gun. Hopefully there will be a full auto laser weapon too.
