Hell, I did exactly that- I Photoshopped the Vampire Lord eyes over the top of eyekhajiitvampire.dds, ensmallened it by about 66%, and saved. Hey presto, glowing eyes for beast races.

Yeah, the pics on that mod look pretty bad. Still can't get it working.

If you can't afford Photoshop, try Gimp. It's free, more or less identical to Photoshop, and there's plugins available for it (which are super-easy to install) that let you open and save .dds files.

Of course, since it turns out that this is the Xbox forum (I just followed the link for the latest update on the main Skyrim page), my advice is kind of useless- but it does show just how easy it'd be for Bethesda to do this for a patch!

I use my roommates PC version so I'm not too keen on altering it, though if I make a backup it shouldn't be an issue. Where is that file?

Oh and I've been Gimping it up for years.

It's in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character\eyes. You might need to extract the texture from the Skyrim - Textures.bsa file first.

And you could always make a new eye type in the Creation Kit that uses the new texture (and have the KhajiitVampire race use that eye instead), rather than outright replacing it like I did.

I feel the same about this whole issue with my argonian. I hated how argonian vampires looked before the dlc and was upset they didn't change at all to include the glowing eyes. Honestly, I wish an argonian vampire would just look identical to it's non-vampire equivalent, just with added glowing eyes. I spent ages making my argonian face absolutely perfect, yet when you become a vampire: regardless of what skin color you picked, you now have a white argonian, and you get really awkward looking fangs that just look like super low poly objects shoved in their mouths, clipping through their lips. Just looks so ugly. Pretty much killed my desire to play as a vampire.

Beast Races are suppose to have different eyes! just because some damn eye balls its the end of the world for khajiits or argonians Lovers? they are suppose to have different eyes not Human, Mer eyes.

I think it's less that, and more the fact that part of the draw of Dawnguard was the vampire overhaul- which only the men and mer races got (not just the eyes, their face textures are different too), while the beast races weren't touched at all.

I know the eyes are supposed to be different but at least they should glow. Slitted cat/lizard eyes with orange glow would have been great. As it is, the beast races didn't get ANY overhaul whatsoever.

My nord vampire looks different from my breton one. I also notice that if your female vamp doesn't have any make-up on, they won't have that ugly dirty face,

Never had the dirty face thing before, just wish I could have a Khajiit vamp.

Yeah thats a bug from skyrim vanilla if female humans have make up on they get a dirty face plus they are meant to have the new glowing eyes but they don't (high elf, wood elf and dark elf have the new vampire glowing eyes like the males)

I've never had that one, then again I don't use makeup.

It's kind of pissing me off too. I like how my nord vampire looks if she didn't have a filthy face. Or that nosebleed line. I just want my bat nose .

Started playing again, looking forward to Hearthfire. Hopefully there's not some rule saying Khajiit can't buy land.

You and I are probably right. In some ways, I can sort of understand why they won't do beast race children, since that would require a lot more work than they're willing to do for the (in the case of Skyrim) "less important races" (no offense intended towards anyone), but it's absolutely ridiculous that they don't even do children for the elf races. I mean, how hard could it be to just change up the ears, eyes and skin tone (and in the case of orcs, give them different noses and add the teeth) and come up with elven children? As a matter of fact, doing beast children probably wouldn't be so difficult at their end, either, since they can do more with animations than modders can, which I think is the real killer from what I've read.

But like I said, it probably just isn't important enough to them for this game, since vast majority of the characters in-game are Nords, and they probably figure that the vast majority of players play as Nords as well, since they're the native race. Of course, Nords got screwed over with the orange glowy eyes as well, despite the promotional image of the "Nord Vampire Dovahkiin" with the "grand glowing orange eyes" (which they don't even get to have).

I've hated the clone kids since the start, even if they only did Nords why the hell do both genders have the same face? There's only ONE kid in Skyrim cloned a few hundred times.

Only thing that bothered me with Khajiit Vampires is their fur turning completely white.

the eyes, I honestly don't know how you sneak around with Flash lights for Eyeballs ._.
