Beast races didn't get the Dawnguard Vampire upgrade

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 6:40 am

Only thing that bothered me with Khajiit Vampires is their fur turning completely white.

the eyes, I honestly don't know how you sneak around with Flash lights for Eyeballs ._.
I hated that too. I finally create the perfect pitch black khajiit and bam she turns snow white just by being a vampire. Beth must really hate the beast races. It was the same as my argonian. Badass scales and now he looks like he as some sort of disease. The fangs look good though.

Um he is supposed to look like he has some sort of disease, that is what vamprisim is after all. The beast race vamp changes are only unique to them, and i don't want beth to change them to be more like the non-beast race vamps.

And khajiit's fur and Aronian scales becoming more pale as a vampire makes some sense, after all the Man or Elf race vamps have paler skin then their pre-vampire self.

Not very well but you'll look damned good while you're doing it!

Well i do know that before dawnguard my dark elf vamp looked more more pale then when she wasn't a vamp (of course not as big of a difference as what happens to arogonian and kahajiit's) . But perhaps the whole pale thing for Man or Elf vamps has been changed in dawnguard.

I can understand skin changing but why the hell does all of our fur go from colored to bleached white? Lighten it a shade or two, whatever but don't just remove all skin tones and make them one color. You don't see any other races with their hair going grey when they're a vampire... It's annoying but I'd be okay with it if they'd just give me the dang eyes... Update them just a LITTLE. ;~;

I just wished the beast race players got more love from beth updates, i know the game is based in skyrim, but its still an Elder scrolls game.

I agree with you. It's ridiculous the lack of attention Beast races get. If you don't want to support them Beth, don't add them.

Don't give them any ideas. :swear: I'd rather they add in the beast races and then use mods to make them look better than Bethesda not doing them at all. We already have enough trouble with rumors circulating that certain people at the top HATE the beast races.

Not everyone plays the PC. Plus I'd rather them focus on a full feature then a half-ass one. Either way they'll never get rid of the beast races...I'm betting all on that. (Anyway who hates the beast races? I'm sending them an angry letter!)

I was mostly joking a little with the first part anyway, and pointing it out as how it's a "be careful of what you wish for" statement. I don't think they will or should get rid of the beast races as playable races, since it would generate a furor and very likely cause the next game to tank. Plus, having the beast races in there helps to make TES games unique, and makes it more than just a "humans and elves" type fantasy world. Also, there may or may not be hatred towards specific races within Bethesda, but there's definitely influuential employees there who DO like the beast races. That much is evidenced by the lore established for the beast races.

Normally I would say "Now why would bethesda get rid of the beast races by creating some half-assed retcon and risk angering both beast race fans and lore-buffs at the same time?" But never underestimate bethesda.

Who are you telling? lockups, freezes, crashes, broken quests, quest that I will never be able to start because of a certain NPC(ugh vingalmo) AND there's a Unoffical dawnguard patch for people on PC that I will fix more than bethesda ever will. :dry:

This isn't my "only problem" with Skyrim but every bug deserves a thread so they can get fixed. I'm not professing that this is the biggest deal and needs to be remedied RIGHT NOW. It's just a thread to raise awareness in hopes of getting this fixed. We're not on PC, we can't wait for modders to fix the game for us.

Anyhow, Hearthfire is out and of course no Khajiit kids and you can't make a Khajiit your steward.

Yeah, I had tried to install that on my roomie's laptop a while ago from the Skyrim Nexus but it didn't work. All it did was make my eyes glow but didn't change the texture over, so I have vanilla eyes that are illuminated in the dark. Cool effect but still not right.
