1.8 Beta Update, Solstheim DLC hints - Thread #12

Post » Thu Oct 18, 2012 7:52 am

Hircines motives are clear paste "OMG, I WANT TO HAVE FUN AND KILL THINGS", While Mora is so alien and un-human that he appears as a lovecraftian mass of tentacles or a "WRETCHED ABYSS"

This.
Skyrim needs a lovecraftian touch.

I don't see the relevance of a castle to knowledge... unless you posted the wrong link?

And scalp people as trophies!

Do something " Predator" style.

You know....pain and death can get boring in a game, too.

THIS, so much.
The Shadow over Hack Dirt was my favorite quest in Oblivion.

Haha. We get the ability to turn in Cthulus as a gift from Hermaeus Mora.
Oh, how awesome. I suppose we should have tentacle Molag Bal action-style finisher moves, too?
This DLC looks great.

From your point of view. But there is no thrill to read books in his realm. No true beauty. No crimson art! Something like the Shivering Isles would be good.

Hell, I would be glad to see Sanguine's Realm, which should bump up that Rated M mark a bit higher.

In this case, knowledge can kiss Hircine's ass.

Yeah... Not too interested in that.
You can always sit in a tavern and read ingame books. Or pick flowers and catch torch bugs. Elder Scrolls provides variety for all stripes and colors. Thankfully, this DLC may too.

Which is why balance is nescessary.

Well only really interesting were-creatures are Wereboars. So Werepandas or Werebears doesn't bother me. Both are probably nice to hunt and skin.

Werebears should be added, but not as the main addition. A sidequest would suffice, while the main focus is on Dragonborn stuff and Mora and his Apocrypha.

Right.. Because I don't see the appeal in going psycho on random people that must mean I'm a complete, and utter pacifist.

All I want is an Arena, and most of the old spells back.

There is (or was) an investigation into whether they are or arent. I think they're just... there. To be fun. They're actually the native race of this planet.

I don't like to go psycho on random people. As a wise man once said: "We must recognize that killing for sadistic pleasure-killing without reason, need, or purpose-is the act of a fool'."

I don't believe in pacifism, as without strife, there is only stagnation. But a hunt in Hircine's Hunting Grounds would be more than randomely killing people. Hunting is a hobby, a sport, an expression of the hunter enforcing his power over prey.

I would like to see the arena return. And fight for glory and honor in the ES universe.
