1.8 Beta Update, Solstheim DLC hints - Thread #12

Post » Thu Oct 18, 2012 3:53 am

But what does H2H actually mean in the coding? it could just be two people hitting eachother for all we know. I don't understand programing.

niether do I, I found looking through the posted code in the last thread, but with all beth products I maintain high hopes and low expectations

Oh. Skyrim is slowly becoming perfect for me... From the sounds of Solstheim, yes... Just need Chrysamere and an Arena now.

This would be hilarious. I could see Todd Howard and the Bethesda gang pull the H2H plug and repace it with to people hitting each other.

Fans: Why Bethesda! Why!?

Guns is one of the main reasons why I cannot play Fable 2 or 3.
They have made sequel for it? I never thought it would happen. I played the first Fable but because it was released after Morrowind it felt to have a real lack of freedom.

All in due time my friend, all in due time
Hehe, agreed. I trust Bethesda will do the right thing. It did take them a year to add spears, right?

Don't start with your brown-nosing, boot-licking, booty-smooching tendencies, child. Not yet! There are still a few things missing! Bethesda will have my love, and a select few others, if the fat werebears are added, along with lunar transformations. And an arena.

Then the game is perfect.

Still waiting on them to make the Thu'um a viable fighting style. I've adopted the "Way of the Voice" and only shout to praise the Divines in RP now mostly because there's not point to using it in battle. Spell making too. Also, hoping to see the NPC AI get a major overhaul. Everyone's too dumb to live in the face of danger.

And of course, I still want Volkihar like the ones in Immortal Blood, but that may be asking for too much at this point.

And if I really get greedy... incendiary pigs would be awesome.

Random thought... But what about the museum of artifacts in Mournhold? I mean, when the Dunmer flee Morrowind, do you think they prolly would've taken some of the artifacts in the museum with them? (Like Stendarr's Hammer anyone?)

yeaah... anyone think this sounds a bit TOO convenient... Too good to be true, even...

Not if they're not part of the DLC, per se, but were dev'd and planned from the beginning and scrapped/disabled/de-ref'd to get the game out the door, but not abandoned entirely. it's entirely possible, for instance, that crossbows were planned for initial release and taken up to finish by the DG team. Same thing could be here and (it would be stupid to assume otherwise) since the DB team will have had months more dev, they could have carried the ball a lot more on unfinished projects, especially if they were more nearly finished when scrapped.

I don't know, but stealing from such a museum would be fun for the thieves out there. Lord knows we didn't get enough actually stealing things in the TG main questline (cookie cutter radiant quests don't count).

Nah the dragonborn stuff can stay the way it is.

I would like to see the Volkihar from Immortal Blood, but we are getting our hopes up.

To the bold part, again this is not Ratchet and Clank.

What he said... some hand to hand stuff.
We can already fight with our fists in Skyrim, but there is no Perk Tree to it.

But I for sure hope it will return... the awe! Imagine the awe!

I'm totally cool with Guns. I'm kind of getting bothered that the Elderscrolls hasn't developed at all in all these games.

Besides its not like guns will ruin stuff like bows, or magic. Bows would be better for stealth, and easier to reload, and magic is.. Well.. Magic.

Also I hope there won't be any Lycanthropes in this.

I doubt they will work on the "Volkihar". Or the kids will cry that they focus too much on vampires. What do you mean a visible fighting style?
Then Werebears!!

Are you meaning all that stuff about people who are not the biggest fans of werewolves and vampires being kind of "imature" for real or are you just joking around a bit?
Because it's rather insulting otherwise.
