Cat-girls instead of Furries [Request]

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 9:20 pm

I'm sure someone will do it as soon as it's possible. There were multiple neko/furry/anthro/cat-girl/whatever-you-like-to-call-it mods for Oblivion.

I sort of remember using one for a while that had anime sounds too.

Those, my furpatriot, are some scary effin faces.

I disagree. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197988732882/screenshot/596936567712274912?tab=all http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197988732882/screenshot/596946065217172877/?tab=all :hubbahubba:

Neko is considered furry as far as categorizing it goes, but it isn't really furry at least by the type of people behind the persona/s. Not that either type is by any means bad at all, unless someone here wants to imply that there is.

I don't like any anime mods and don't wish to see any, but conceptually I picture this to be a viable mod.

It would be wise to wait on the toolset to release it in order to implement this as a race replacement or addition, it's always a great feat to add more of those to the game. It's always good to get work done ahead of time though. If someone can mod the game to handle breed changing in the character creation, that would be a great plus.
I speak on behalf of consistency over preference.

I never see anyone whining and frothing at the mouth over all the ridiculous trollface, my little pony, pickachu mods on the nexus. So it is really fascinating to me (even if it gets tiring), to watch all the haters zero in supposed "anime mods." Even stuff that has nothing to do with anime gets trolled and labeled as anime.

Also if you are tired of all the anime mods, why do you come into the threads and troll them? Its like maschism it seems like... Just leave it well enough alone, your constant trolling and harrassment of those wanting them is not going to make them go away, nor is it going to make people stop asking for them.

It also makes me wonder what sort of mods the haters download and use. They say the biggest protesters of something are also the biggest offenders.

In other news: awww, the twilight vampire thread got locked. I was enjoying that. xD

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. o_o;

I think http://i.imgur.com/RfuZJ.jpg would be the better implementation.

+1 for miqo'te

Although I do like Tohka's suggestion, but without the fake looking whiskers.

some more others can have their My Little Ponies, and others can have their Twilight...

You get the drift.

Implying MLP is as bad as Twilight? :stare:

There are several different breeds of Khajiit. The Ohmes of Daggerfall and Arena looked very human, but they were still Khajiit. So technically this mod could even be lore correct
I'd really like an ohmes or ohmes-raht mod for Skyrim. I think they would be closest to Bosmer with tails and slight cat ears.

Good Lord No!

I was just thinking random UN-Skyrimmy Things off the top of my head.

...that and I knew there were MLP mods and the recent Twilight thread was still in my brain.

@ ToJKa I still disagree but to each their own.

Well, it would be a boring world if everyone liked the same things.

It's posts like this that make the pesky little devil inside me whisper things to me along the lines of: "You should definitely remake the Tabaxi mod for Skyrim...";)

I agree with the devil, you should :hehe:

And what is wrong with retexturing your horse to look like a MLP character? They only get more personality that way :teehee:

Less cat like khajiits would be fine, like the ones from daggerfall, but please do not make anime mods to skyrim, Oblivions tesnexus was flooded with that [censored]..

I've no specific interest in playing such characters myself, but I'll happily encourage and support the addition of such races in the hopes that it'll somehow annoy anyone short-sighted and petty enough to actively oppose something that's both harmless and entirely optional.

Vaguely on-topic contribution: uhh... some Khajiit/Elsweyr-specific wargear/clothing (for aforementioned cat-girls or otherwise) would be a cool thing to see too.

I think there is a lot of misconception on anime, I think most of the nay sayers don't want cutesy animals and dramatic stylizations and such that are commonly associated with anime. That is understandable to not want such things in a game that is serious and mature like Skyrim. But i do think that there are some interesting concepts from anime that could work (if done properly) in Skyrim. For instance there are actually 17 races of Khajiit, most of which have never been seen. Who's to say that wanting something that is cat like with human face or human with cat ears and tale isn't just the craters interpretation of one of those 17 races, even if it was influenced from anime? It all depends on how it is presented.

I agree at the least, they should be realistic looking and not have Disney Eyes™.

I agree with that too. I never liked the BESM (big eyes small mouth) look for mods in Oblivion/FO games. I like realism as much as the anime-haters, but I like certain concepts from anime/manga, and cat-girl khajiit happen to be one of them. Others are not necessarily anime related but Japanese-culture/Asian related (asian race option =/= anime).

Looking at my name, that reminds me: I would like to see a fox khajiit mod. I know, foxes are canine and not feline... but I'd still love to see it. :)

Exactly, I think most of the haters wouldn't care so much if it just matched the theme and art style of Skyrim. But also to each there own. They aren't forced to download them either which is why i also feel that some of the bickering is uncalled for.

Then you're not looking hard enough. There have been so many trolls banned over trolling MLP mods that one of the moderators (Vagrant0) changed the text under his avatar to reflect that ("Moderator: Banning Is Magic"). If you want to bring nekomimis to SK, I'll kill you.
HOWEVER! If you want to bring the full tree of species and subspecies of the kajiiit, argonian, men and mer, you have all my encouregement... that makes more than 800 races! :D

I concur, without the murder threat.

They basically came up with an excuse as to why Khajit's appearances change from game to game...and sprinkled a little extra for flavor. But it's cool :) .. I'd like to see a diverse Kahjit population at some point.

the Khajit are a weird, weird race even by fantasy cat-people standards. Just check out their http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Khajiit. Turns out there are over twenty subspecies which fall all over the anthropomorphic scale from the Ohmes (virtually indistinguishable from wood elves) to the Senche-raht (intelligent quadrupedal cats as tall as two men and as heavy as 50). They are all born identical but quickly diverge into their true form, which is determined by the phases of the moons when they were born. Crazy stuff.

Holy crap, now I really want to play as a Senche-raht.

I'd love to see male and female Ohmes replace the Khajiit in the game... definitely not anime-style, though. I prefer lore-friendly stuff.
