Cat-girls instead of Furries [Request]

I would just like to point out that this is more along the lines of what I want:

Not this:

I prefer the latter.

FF can kiss my butt.

Meh, both are too human for a "beast" race if you ask me

No thanks, I like Khajiits how they are now - or at least the typical ones.

I would like a mod like this but not as a replacement but a new race. There are many different types of Khajiits (including more human looking ones if memory serves). Wouldn't it make sense to simply add a new race that is one of them?

If we could some how add in "cat-girl" khajiit along with the furry khajiit that would be perfect. But it seems like the race additions end up being just the players charcater in the world, with no similar npcs happening about.

It would take a more comprehensive mod, like Integration for Oblivion, to add NPCs of new races to the game.

Still, it would be best to keep them separate from the vanilla races, if only for compatibility reasons.

Anime? In my Skyrim?! NOT ON MY WATCH!

No but please, lay off with the anime mods I beg. On every Fallout/ES nexus I see it littered with freaking anime mods. The worst part is, some of the mods are actually pretty cool; but also add anime-esque stuff to it additionally. Please dont make Skyrim like this. :(

It will happen regardless my friend. As a note if you were intent on digging you could actually find decent Lore Friendly mods.

I'd say make the reasonable Khajiit subraces, not just..cat-girls.

And god, this reminds me why I dislike the Nexus. The mod lists are usually:

Revealing white dress!
Revealing black dress!
Yada-Yada's Better Bodies, now with Triple Z sized briasts!
Very well thought out and entertaining quest mod.
Revealing white dress with frills!
Prostitution advanced.

Actually, I mentioned this in a mod thread about having more "dog follower" options, but I think that having a Pahmer-raht (tiger-like Khajit) as a follower (maybe even cousin/sibling) of a Khajit player character would be spectacular.

"[player character name]'s little sister is a 1,000 pound giant tiger. Would you like to reconsider your preposition that khajit not be allowed within city walls? She finds it offensive, and when she gets offended, she gets hungry."

I don't think that is anything to worry about, Beth has their own, very different vision of TES as Skyrim shows. Burly, bearded, though looking men. And women :hehe:

But i hear TES is popular enough in the far east that anime-themed mods will be unavoidable. I for one approve of that :bolt:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks too much talent is being expended for the sake of bad gamebryo pormography. I'm at 50% warn level on these boards for getting into conflicts with people on the original Oblivion boards at release there when it comes to nudity and six mods. My opinion has dulled over the years, but it's still always just robotic pormograpy. It doesn't humanize the characters in the game like intimacy mods should.

I love the Khajit in Skyrim, mostly because of the voices. They're like purrs turned into words, I'd love to hear how they audio engineered the khajit voices into the butterry things they are. Jzargo is my favorite henchman because of his voice, even if he's pretty useless.

The way I see is, if you dont like it, dont look at it, dont download it and dont torture yourself by commenting in associated threads. Youre just going to stress yourself out. If others want to use those mods or expend their talent for stuff that makes them happy, thats their choice.

I think too much energy is being wasted in harassing people that want use/make such mods as well.

And with that, I am done with this thread. Have a good day folks. My original objective for this thread has been completed since its been stated that they will be made in several varieties. ;)

I love neko-people since I watched too much anime at formative years. Knowing they'll just be used for "dovakiin in lingerie" mods is the part that gets under my skin.

"dovakiin in lingerie"

That happens with or without catgirl mods. In fact, I daresay that for Oblivion (and Skyrim soon enough) there's a heck of a lot more of that going on with elf girls, virtually all of whom have been doctored up to have impossibly smooth skin, implausibly big/bright eyes, and gravity-defying..... assets.

I don't think catgirls are to blame for that trend. ;)

*ducks back out of thread to continue working on new cat-people textures* :P

Ohmes-raht

Similar to the race of men, save for their short, light-colored fur, the Ohmes-raht may easily be mistaken as men at a distance. Unlike the many other species of Khajiit, who walk, like cats, upon the balls of their feet, the Ohmes-raht walk upon their heels. The Ohmes-raht are most likely the type of Khajiit in the game Daggerfall.

This type of Khajiit please :D.

Cat-Girls would be awesome! :P

I know I'd be much more into the more anime-style personally, but different strokes for different folks. There's nothing requireing you to download this - I honestly can't see why people are so far against this. If I knew anything about how to do this I'd have already been working on this from day 1.

You know, considering that a Khajit's subrace is determined by the phases of the moons when they are born, I have to wonder why we never see stuff like this in the games. Instead we only ever consistently see the Suthay-raht Khajits. Does every Khajit living outside of Elsweyr time the conception of their children so precisely they can control what moon phase it will be born in? Do they all return to their homeland to give birth and only the Suthay-raht are allowed to leave the country? but that doesn't make sense, because the lore states that the Ohmes are the most common subrace seen outside of Elsweyr and we haven't seen one of them since Arena.

Yes, you can avoid downloading it, but CuteUnit and TwistedBlack still have a point. Go to the "animations" section of TESNexus, and you'll see roughly 80% of the animations done for Oblivion are either adding briast jiggle physics or an animation that involves some crazy monster six fetish.

In fact, I'd point out that many of those "anime" animation or mesh mods actually come from Japanese modders, who seem to be much more likely than western fans to actually take up the modeling and animating required to do these sorts of things. Western fans are much more likely to just palette swap and restat an existing model and call it a day.

Yes, it's not like I have to download them, and I don't, but I just look at all that talent, and can't help but feel it is going to waste making some crazy fetish material instead of something a broader audience could enjoy.

I guess it's like the only serious motivation to do this sort of heavy lifting work comes from people who desperately want to see some favored fetish of theirs in the game.

Well said, this is how I've felt about the topic for a long time. I couldn't even browse TESNexus at one point without seeing some sort of sick perverted files along the way. Needless to say, many vocal outbursts of "WHY!" were had. It really is a waste of talent and why this type of trend is prevalent in the modding scene is beyond my comprehension.

On topic, this still would fit in the lore, but I myself wouldn't use a mod like this. Regardless, it'll probably be one of the first mods out when the Creation Kit comes out.

If that's what they wish then let them, you don't have to be so judgmental about it. If you want to make mods that appeal more to your ideology then make them yourself, form a team with other modders. Look at Nehrim as an example. They made basically their own world from combining the talent of many modders. So someone wants to make an anime/manga/comic book/fetish mod, so what? It's not a waste if they are doing what they enjoy. I for one wish their was more variety in reasonable armor mods for my characters but I'm not going to complain to much about it because if I really wanted it bad enough then I should just make it myself.

I think most people just complain because they think it makes themselves more elite among their peers or to satisfy their ideological "cliche". Half these people are only taking things at face value, if I put up mods based on "Vinland Saga" or "Berserk" not one of them would complain, that is until I say it's from Anime/Manga, then the flood gates open. It's as if as soon as someone mentions something is related to Japan, the "weaboo" alarm goes off.

By that logic, why did you read my post and complain about it if you didn't like it? You shouldn't be so judgmental about other people's posts. You're probably just posting to make yourself seem like an anime-guard elite. :P

You're also barking up the wrong tree, here, as I generally like anime, and don't particularly complain about anything being added just for being anime-related. I only complain when it clearly clashes with the already-existing art-style (unless it were some sort of total conversion that replaced the whole art style).

Also for that matter, I used and enjoyed the Japanese-made overly elaborate hair styles.

The complaint I was making was not about there being anime-related things, but rather, the fact that nudity and six-related content are the bulk of the really advanced mods. Yes, I've seen porm before, but I don't particularly enjoy the idea of literally stripping bandits naked when I just want to sell their armor for a bit of extra cash, and those "nonconsensual sixual content" mods that involve bondage monsters or "potions" of bodily fluids are just right out.

To say that it's a little annoying to have to sift through 100 lingerie or bikini-style outfits to get to one reasonably-cut new type of armor mod is hardly going on an ideological rant, for that matter.
