Character returning from Fallout 3?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 3:24 am

Why does everyone say F04 will be in the Commonwelth?

Possibly because the were too many comments/references to it in FO3 to ignore the possibility of it actually being in the commonwealth. I personally would love for it to be there. I'd also like to see it in New York... as well as other locations.

I highly doubt it will be the Lone Wanderer. Why? It won't be YOUR Lone Wanderer. Besides, what if you RP'd that your Lone Wanderer made the trek across the country because of their lonely wandering tendencies and ended up in the Mojave?

So cross the LW off the "could be" list.

Is this from that unconfirmed rumor from an unnamed source posted on a blog no one's heard of and put on a publicly edited wiki?

Ah, well, conjecture's fun anyway. I bet it'll be Brian Wilks.

Yeah I get your point but it would be kinda cool.

I would be thinking along the lines of... Sarah Lyons. That sort of thing.

Personally, I think it's a load of crap someone made up to bump up traffic for his blog. There's no proof whatsoever.

I wanna see Sierra Petrovita bring the secret of Quantam out to the Mojave along with the schematic for NUKA GRENADES. I like blowing things up...... Too bad that won't happen in a million years lol.

Yup.

I really wonder why so many people think it's Sarah Lyons. She wasn't a fun character at all, I really don't want to see her ever again. More importantly, I cannot think of a single reason why she would move to the West Coast. Also, the inclusion of Harold on the "people who could be in NV" made me laugh.

Lone Wanderer - Thats just stupid.
Harden Simms - Hes the law in Megaton, so no
Maggi - Why would she travel so far? Shes just a kid.
Moira - Hell No.
Mr. Crowley (After the Ft. Constantine quest he ran off and said he would probably never see you again) - Possible
Uncle Leo - Be kind of cool.
Col Autumn - Nah
3 Dog - Hes broad casting on the radio, I doubt he would abandon his post to not have the chance to annoy people.
Elliot Tercorien - DLC character, not likely. Many people want the bad taste of aliens out of their mouth.
Somah - DLC character, same reasons.
Sally - DLC
Paulson - DLC
Desmond Lockheart - DLC, But still possible because hes ****ing awesome, and a nice story.
Amata - Not realy she has a vault to run.
Nadine - Hmmm, possibility.
Kenny - DLC, not really.
Charon - Nah
Harold (Just because) (Yeah I know hes a tree) - Hes Harold, of course he should.

I feel there could be better candidates.

wondering that to, so I checked the F3 character list. Only thing close to Sig is Sid, a deranged prisoner in vault 87. So unless Sig is in fallout 1 or 2, I think it's a typo.

sorry it is Stiggs not sig from Broken Steel

the list below that is people who COULD be in the next dlc.

Lone Wanderer - not likely because every player has thier own LW, and he/she does have a home in the Capital Wasteland, either with Megaton or the EBoS...or both
Harden Simms - still a child in 2281...his father Lucas has too many ties to Megaton and the CW for it to be likely for him to leave
Maggi - still a child in 2281, Billy would never put her at risk by taking her out on the road.
Moira - possible but unlikely, she's settled and has a good living where she is.
Mr. Crowley (After the Ft. Constantine quest he ran off and said he would probably never see you again) - assuming he lives in canon.....most players cheat him out of the armor and/or kill him.
Uncle Leo -possible, he likes to wander and only well armed and organized badguys are goingto be likely to attack him.
Col Autumn - if he survives the purifier in Canon a good bet...he has skills that someone would pay for, he could also form a mercenary group of his own out of what Enclave soldiers are still willing to follow him.
3 Dog - why would he leave his radio station? GNR is clearly a labor of love for him.
Elliot Tercorien - was rather uninterested in the post-war world in MZ
Somah - possible but how many people are going to be pleased to see a slaver from Paradise Falls?
Sally - a child in 2281
Paulson - possible
Desmond Lockheart - strong possibility, he's popular and has a reason to pop up anywhere a pre-war holdout is likely to be. Definitely in the top three possibles
Amata - She's Overseer of Vault 101, unless the Springvale area is completely pacified by Megaton or the BoS she probably will never set foot outside the Vault.
Nadine - Unless part of Latin America has gone missing so she doesn't have to try the passage via Tierra del Fuego, she'd never be able to make it to the Pacific in that boat, especially by herself
Kenny - child in 2281
Charon - outside possibility...but if the LW was not employing him he would probably stay in Underworld to protect it.
Harold (Just because) (Yeah I know hes a tree) he isn't going anywhere

I'd add a couple

Dr Li - she said she was going to the Commonwealth but as Ashur said "In the Wasteland things often don't turn out the way we'd like them to". She could have been refused admittance, got there and decided to leave for some reason, or never made it. If she was captured by slavers, if they have half a brain they'd realize she was worth big caps to the right buyer...which in the Northeastern US would be Ashur. She could probably bargain for her freedom with him and eventually migrate west from the Pitt after the cure was found.

Wehrner- Not popular, but after the Pitt he'll probably be on the run.

Casdin or another named Outcast - with no means of getting in contact with Lost Hills Casdin may give up the Mission when it becomes plain the EBoS not only is going to succeed but irrevocably cast it's lot with the people of the Capital Wasteland and enter it's embryonic government and take his followers back West....or at least send a mission to try to get Lost Hills to send reinforcements and help him depose Lyons. How he/they will react to the inevitable disappointment of learning how much trouble the "real" BoS is in is anyone's guess.

Ah damn, for me Desmond would fit perfectly, since I can't see Mr. House NOT being a player of the Great Game.. but then again, him going North.. I'd say it could be that when he planned to go north he didn't know about House being still alive, and after dealing with Point Lookout he heard news about New Vegas and it's dictator. (knowing what figure House was before the Great War he might turn out to be a much more important player than whoever Desmond planned to go north after. Imporant enough to make him change his route).

If that source was right... I'd have to imagine it being one of the BoS. There's nobody else important enough to show up in the Mojave,

I'm thinking about it but I can't think of one single reason why Moira would travel to New Vegas.

Book tour for her wasteland survival book or research for her new book The Wasteland survivor 2. Hey that could be a quest. LOL.

I think Fawkes will be making a return.

I don't think the Lone Wanderer would be coming. Two silent protagonists in one game? That'd get kinda boring. "Where do you want to go?" "I don't know you decide."
Elder Lyons would be a good fit, two chapters meeting up. But that's a hell of a trek for a pride to make, unless they're using the verdibird.
Three Dog... Ooowww!!! I'd just like a better DJ personality. Mr. New Vegas is just so bland compared to Three Dog. And the same friggin' four songs over and over...(but that's another topic in its self).

Honestly, I don't know, nor do I have a clue on who could be making a return. I suggest Fawkes because he has a nice history and background that Fallout 3 could have expanded on more, but we meet him near the end of the game. And can only invite him to join you as a companion after you blow up the enclave's main base. The hell use is that?

My money's on the Lone Wanderer.

Serious answer: If true, my real money would go to Either Elder Lyons or Sarah Lyons. Time for the elder to face the music concerning his actions in the Capital Wasteland.

At this point, it'd be more like Lyons making the Western BoS face the music over cutting off his support. :P

I'd rather nobody from FO3 showed up in a NV DLC and simply showed up in FO4. If it had to be anyone, though, Desmond would both make the most sense and be the most badass.

Charon would be the runner-up for "most likely to cross the whole freaking country".

When you work for someone you are under an obligation to follow orders. Whether or not you disagree with them is not the issue. The issue is that Elder Lyons abandoned his mission without consulting with the western BOS to express his concern regarding his orders, or that he was in disagreement regarding theim.

The fact that he was successful in defeating the Enclave (with alot of help from The Lone Wanderer) would aid him in the defense of the abandonment of his mission... A mission that the Outcasts were willing to pursue, even though he wasn't.

Elder Lyons failed in both Following orders and in expressing his concerns to his superiors about his mission. So yes, he should face the Western BOS regarding the situation in DC.

BTW: I honestly can't think of one good reason why Charon would make the trek clear across the country when he's already got it pretty good in DC. Also he's just not important enough to bring back; as opposed to Elder Lyons who can help out west...Now if only he can follow orders. :whistling:

More like they would try and execute him for betraying the codex and causing yet another scizm in there ranks.
