Good for you, a serious undertaking. I'm no trophy chaser, but I know how hard it is. What was the hardest trophy to get?

I suspect it was a knights honour.

You need weapons to be +10, and you need all of the bosss souls, then you must play it NG+ becuase they are needed for 2 different weapons, and ornstein and smoughs souls vary depending on who dies first.

Dosent sound like fun.

I hate the lack of normal titanite slabs. I found 1 in the intire game. I ended up unabale to upgrade weapons, I had a lighting, crystal and standard weapon I couldnt upgrade :/

I had trouble with that place too. I was so happy to be rid of it. I made sure to get every piece of loot there so I would never have a reason to return. (Except for an NG+ Obviously)

I recommend using this map of http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6055/6255767206_57d4acfbc7_b.jpg It helped me quite a bit to get all that loot in one go. At the very least make sure to grab the Shadow garb since its high poison resistance will greatly come in handy once you reach the swamp portion.

I defeated Knight Lautrec of Carim and his goons easily after I equipped Havel's Armor and Dragon's Tooth(2H) I ran up the stairs to bottleneck them, and they were all down in seconds.

Worst part of blight town for me was the camera and the big enemies. They werent a threat, but I would get knocked off when blocking, and dodging isnt a smart option on a place with so many falls.

What is From Software's take on DLC? Is it likely they will add new areas or items in the future?
Also, if I pick up DS for my (underused) PS3 will the online features still be available or is it too late?

Edit - @ RedguardWarrior, check out the Blightown videos on this guys channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/EpicNameBro
His vids are very very very helpful for us noobs. :)

Managed to kill lautrec. Actually managed fairly easy with quite a bit of kiting up and down stairs till they were seperated.

Unfortuantly, 5 humanity was not enough.
Lost 2 humanity due to errors when fighting the 2 big halberd guys (such as pulling both without realising :\ ), and the rest on the bosses.

Had knight solaire+ random summoned each time, but on my very last humanity, i had Knight Solaire and a decent caster summoned.

We killed the skinny guy no problem, then was having no problems with the fat guy also. Then the fat guy got a hit on me.
I wasnt right beside him so i didnt bother healing as it should only of been a hit or 2 till hes dead anyway, plus i was still fairly high hp. Then he jumps in the air....

By the time i realised i should of started running it was too late. Just wasnt far enough away. Big aoe attack :(

He only had litterally 1 or 2 hits left till he was dead.

Dont really know whether i was closer to tears, or to screaming.

Out of humanity, so now i need to try and solo :\
Edit- Having watched a video, it doesnt really look hard to solo, just takes a bit of time. (hopefully)

Why don't you co-op? Put down your sign and get summoned? That's what I do to get humanity back.

As for the throphy, knights honor was definitely the hardest. Not only do you have to get all the boss soul weapons, you also need every black knight weapon, every silver knight weapon, all tail-cut of weapons inclusing seath the scaleless tail and crossbreed priscella and the everlasting dragons tail. You need rare enemy drop weapons such as titanite cath pole, channelers trident, jagged ghost blade, stone giants sword, stone giants shield. You also need loot found all over the place, such as bloodhsield, effigy, sanctus, dragons tooth, dragonslayer's greatbow, velka's rapier, havel's greatshield. You also need to get the dark hand from darkwraith covenant and gravelords blade from the gravelord covenant. And going to ng+ is not enough: you must go to ng++ to be able to obtain sif's soul 3 times in order to make two different weapons and a shield from his soul. (and I didn't mention all the loot/enemy drop weapon etc, but quite many)

From Software didn't release a DLC for demon's souls and will not do it for dark souls either, because they believe that once a game goes gold it's complete.

For some reason i didnt realise you could do this while hollow :\

Done it and managed to help someone kill them. Got 1 humanity and pretty decent souls for it.

Why though, did they feel the need to place those 2 big giants in the room before the boss.
I lost my humanity again :(

Sometimes i kill them without getting hit, other times i just dont seem able to kill them at all.
So annoying.

And to quote what i said earlier in the thread

It did *look* easy...

edit- And yea, congrats on platinum Gorbad. Think ill be lucky just to finish the game nevermind get every trophy :)

I know the feeling, those giant guards take me down every now and then as well. You could wait at the bonfire inside anor londo castle or the entrance after the very first bonfire (after the elevator thing) and summon the help of two persons. That way, the giants shouldn't be a problem.

Worst enemy imo is those skeleton dog things in the tomb if giants. Horrible, horrible enemies.

Ok Gorbad since you seem to have done everything. How does the pendat effect the story ?

You mean pendant, the starting gist? Probably in no way because the snubbly (whatever it's called, the new sparkly the crow anyways), gives an item to you for it and that's about as much as it's used for. The pendant as an item of itself without an effect in-game can't possibly effect the story.

Or are you talking about something else?

With the aid of another player, Ornstein and Smough have been vanquished! He was impaled by Ornstein as soon as phase two began sadly. I avenged him though. ;)

Spoiler for what is directly after defeating them:
Spoiler
I couldn't help but laugh on the way to Lady Gwyndolin. I saw a message that said "Amazing Chest Ahead." I thought, there would be some sweet loot... Then I saw what they meant. I put one of my own down saying "Gorgeous View Ahead." :P

I also took down Sif and the Moonlight Butterfly. Both were trivial. Especially the Moonlight Butterfly. Definitely the easiest boss I've ever faced in a video game. I summoned the Witch Beatrice and just dodged its attacks while she hit it with spells. I never even struck a blow against it.

So, just playing this game when I have little bits of time. Seem to be struggling to kill the black knight in Dead burg. He pretty much 3 shots me.

There's actually a pretty easy way to beat him. Just have 100-150 arrrows, shoot him with an arrow, he will follow at that point you'll want to go back to the area with the ladder, climb the ladder and wait for the black knight to head back to his original area, when he does that shoot him and repeat. I didn't get anything good off of him the time I killed him but it could be different this time around.

If I join a covenant, then effectively "break" the covenant by joining a different one will I become sinned? I ask because I want to get all the unique stuff offered by certain covenants on my "main" character. Such as the Dark Hand/Armor, and the Gravelord sword.
Edit* Nevermind, I see Oswald of Carim has an option for leaving a covenant without becoming sinned.

Also, does the Knight's Honor Achievement/Trophy count across characters?

The throphy does not count across charcaters, all weapons need to be on the same character, same is true for pyromancy throphy, sorcery throphy and miracle throphy.

O_O That is insane! I guess there are plenty of NG+s ahead of me then, since I plan on getting every achievement.

The most optimized person would get every single weapon in the game save for the soul-made weapons before going to ng+ or ng++, because it's not going to get any easier to kill enemies. You need to get Sif's soul 3 times and make two different swords and a shield from it, so ng++ is the minimal requirement for knights honor.

Supposedly the Pendant changes it's item description after a certain point, however this is useless and trivial because there is a clear mistranslation error in which the pendant has the same exact description as the sun medals. Personally I think it was a troll from the makers to say that it was their "chosen first gift because it gave more story".

So in effect it's a worthless lump of nothing that doesn't even affect the story. You'd get more out of the witches ring, since it at least unlocks like a sentence of dialogue after Quelaag.

Plus the ONLY gift that can not be obtained in-game is the Master Key. Why anybody would choose anything else is beyond me.

So, I shot the tail off the dragon with about 500 arrows. With the drake sword I went back and made the Black Knight my [censored] and then tried killing the dragon by shooting it in the face with arrows from the other side but I ran out of arrows and souls to buy them. When I came back from bonfire looked like dragon had his tail back and full health I imagine so I stopped. Went into the undead parish and have been making my way around. The Drake sword is amazing.

You shot it from the wrong place (as did I the first time..). You are supposed to shoot his tail from as close to his tail as possible, because the further an arrow travels in DeS and DkS, the less damage it takes. The best spot to shoot it is under the bride, only a few feet away from a sword and shield using undead with a spear and shield undead waiting around a corner. Only took me 20-30 standard arrows with an unupgraded shortbow with 12 strength and 12 dexterity. I love the drakes sword as well, but once I get my hands on the lighting spear I'll be using that instead.

I'm currently working on the Grim Reaper charcater I talked about in an earlier thread. I'll be trying to get the gravelord covenant mastered to rank 3 with it to gain the lich form and special lantern that spits poison and toxic on enemies.

How would you do that ? Titanite slabs are in a limited amount. You usually need =10 spears just to get one damn soul weapon. Seems like more than 3 playthroughs for me. I wish the asylum demon respawned at times.

Great :/ Only 2 doors I gave a damn about opening, valley of drakes and the ddoor to havel. Only ones I remember being usful anyway.

You don't need a slab, or even a single chunk, to make a +10 weapon. And ng++ is the third playthrough.
