Dawnguard and Future DLC Discussion - Thread #29

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 3:55 am

I'd really like to see some more Daedra. Some old favourites like the scamp, clannfear, daedroth and golden saint would be nice, and perhaps some we haven't see before.
Now we only have three atronachs and the dremora :(
You forgot Flesh Atronachs.

I hate the 30 day exclusive, I mean, They announce it early june, they release it early july, and then pc gets it early augest, but I will be in college, and wont have time for video games, meaning I wont play dawnguard until winter break, and I wont get to spend as much time as I want with it until this time next year. :(

See the bright side of it : when you'll discover it, it will be bug-free

You forgot Flesh Atronachs.

And Iron atronachs, from Daggerfall.

since there are 29 topics on this speculation... i assume people speculated on the glowing eyes in the dawnguard image by now, right?

were there any interesting ideas on that? i'd rather not read 28 other threads just to find out something that might not even provide any decent ideas.

Just my opinion, but they eyes glowing in the Dawnguard Image is just a special effect to make people go "ooh...ah, look at the pretty eyes." If you scrap that glow effect it looks (for the most part) like the default Dovahkiin in the 4th stage of Sanguinaire Vampiris. You can check it out for yourself.

If anyone can get a screen of Dovahkiin in stage 4 of Sanguinaire Vampiris, that would be good. I would do it, but I don't play PC.

I am not so sure it well be because unless they patch it we well probably get the same DLC just a month later. When they find out about the bugs they will make a patch and test it on the 360 for ages, as they do and eventually it well be released on PC and PS3 also. PC and PS3 just get what ever they make work for 360, you only have to look at the 360 version and what they left out to make it work to see that.

I am surprised they did not put those atronachs into the game as default, it would have gone well with the ABC magic system. (which svcks, I want all the spells and magic schools back.)

About the release date, well the only good side about the delay is we know what we are buying as most people buy it within a week. Still I would rather have it day one, and I am more disappointed with MS and Beth for the delay, but beth love the 360 it seems.

College is all about video games, six and drinking. I wouldn't stress too much if I was you.

Close, but I would say there is some work involved in that. But college is nowhere near as hard as they make it out to be in high school. I think they say that stuff in high school so you do not act out, and so you do your work.

- Claw weapons (like wolverine-style weapons)
- Spears
- pikes
- polearms
- throwing knives and darts (would be great for slow-motion kill cam)
- throwing spears
- slings (maybe explosive bullets?
- two-bladed swords, axes, and maces ( you hold the hilt of the weapon in the middle and you have a blade, axe or mace on both ends of the hilt)
- flails (spiked maces except the end of it is guarded by a chain so as to swing in an arc formation)
- triple-ball flails
- spiked chains and whips - grenades (to add to alchemy, like poison bombs and smoke grenades for disorienting)
- One-handed crossbows (also called hand crossbows but good for dual-wielding)
- light crossbow (for fast shooting)
- heavy crossbow ( for slow shooting but high dmg)
- Spiked armor and shields (for tackling with sprint)
- hidden glove-blades (like assassins creed style but for sneak attack kills)
- Short swords
- blow darts
- dual-wield two-handed weapons (slow attack and high stam cost but very high dmg)
- flintlock pistols and guns
- scimitar
- rapier
- throwing axes
- scythes
- set your own traps (aside from runes)

The school I'm going to has a pretty rigorous attitude to work, some of the people there say that they pull all nighters twice a week. If I was going to a drinking college sure, I'd agree with you, but I am not.

I agree with these (note: it wasn't all of the weapons originally listed)

Just a question about archery in skyrim you can make armour and weapons, so Why can't you make arrows? considering back in the olden days people hand made everything.

If you don't like it, don't post.

Are you going to enter every thread on the page just to bag on the people who post there? Surely you have more important things to do?

if you're not going to help drive discussion forward, why even bother posting?

I know they're doing the "closed door" session with the media at E3, but I think we'll hear about it even if it is supposed to be secret.

People seem to love spilling secrets. lol

I dunno, theyd release a single picture in May 1st and we've speculated about it for 21days now, I believe we deserve another enigma picture, or some puzzle of the sort... :S

I just want to know what to know what Dawnguard is about. As entertaining and exciting as it was to read peoples speculation, I want some actual confirmed material.

I just noticed that the eyes change in that yellow color in sovngarde.... perhaps worth to check it out?
Besides it's misty, I guess we're gonna go to Sovngarde!

(I wish I could send a screenshot but I play on the Xbox)

I'm totally with you! :)
From Skyrim.Wikia.Com :

"When Tsun Shouts at the Dragonborn, his/her vision turns a bright, blurry gold/yellow color. Tsun's shout then proceeds the player back to Skyrim. When there, the game screen turns black, fades from white to the gold/yellow color again and then to the silver snow of the Throat of the World, where the player sees http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Paarthurnax and many other unnamed http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon."

"Other characters, all labelled "Hero of Sovngarde", will be wandering around the great feast hall remarking upon the food and mead, boasting of heroic deaths, and will particularly note that their god is absent, as his light would blind the player (who is still valiantly mortal)."

"Shor is the nordic version of http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Lorkhan, who took sides with men after the creation of the world. Foreign gods conspired against him and brought about his defeat, dooming him to the underworld. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Atmora myths depict him as a bloodthirsty warrior king who led the Nords to victory over their http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Aldmer oppressors time and again. Before his doom, Shor was the King of the Gods. He is sometimes called the Children's God."

So it could be something about the Sovngarde and the Aldmeri and...you know, just a speculation, but I think it's valid...sort of. :D
