The school I'm going to has a pretty rigorous attitude to work, some of the people there say that they pull all nighters twice a week. If I was going to a drinking college sure, I'd agree with you, but I am not.

I wouldn't know about that, I went to Columbia.

Well, at least it is only a month away. Or maybe a few weeks depending when E3 starts in June.

I'd like to leave Tamriel... not to do a completely different continent for a dlc but to visited one of the islands or set of islands between continents, fo example between Tamriel and Atmora .. further north than we have been before and closer to the original home of man.

Although the name Dawnguard suggests something from the east, perhaps something has risen after the eruption of Red Mountain. I hope they bring back the cliffracers now that they've got improved animations and behaviours for flying creatures, it would definetely be good to see some none "boss" type flying creatures.

Or possibly the Akaviri (which is probally unlikely but i always hope for them to be involved everytime there is something new in TES world) however they were the original Dragonguard and with Dragons back it would be a good time for there return.

Ive never really played Morrowind but watched a couple videos of those cliffracers, they are quite popular... I wonder what would happen if they ever migrate massively from Morrowind to Skyrim due to the Red Mountain eruption. I even question myself why they haven't yet...

Perhaps it's too cold for them, they supposedly drove Dragons out of Vvardenfell so it would be interesting to see a swarm of cliffracers fight against a dragon.
however during Oblivion it was mentioned that Jiub had driven the cliffracers out of Vvardenfell and was made a saint for it. I think its a long shot that they'll be back but i'd enjoy if they did.

- Claw weapons (like wolverine-style weapons)
- Spears
- pikes
- polearms

- throwing knives and darts (would be great for slow-motion kill cam)
- throwing spears
- slings (maybe explosive bullets?
- two-bladed swords, axes, and maces ( you hold the hilt of the weapon in the middle and you have a blade, axe or mace on both ends of the hilt)
- flails (spiked maces except the end of it is guarded by a chain so as to swing in an arc formation)
- triple-ball flails
- spiked chains and whips - grenades (to add to alchemy, like poison bombs and smoke grenades for disorienting)
- One-handed crossbows (also called hand crossbows but good for dual-wielding)
- light crossbow (for fast shooting)
- heavy crossbow ( for slow shooting but high dmg)
- Spiked armor and shields (for tackling with sprint)
- hidden glove-blades (like assassins creed style but for sneak attack kills)
- Short swords
- blow darts
- dual-wield two-handed weapons (slow attack and high stam cost but very high dmg)
- flintlock pistols and guns
- scimitar
- rapier
- throwing axes
- scythes
- set your own traps (aside from runes)
The bold text is the same thing practically. A polearm would be a spear and pikeman have spears/polearms.
Scimitar=Already there

Spoiler
after the dragon born has defeated alduin, he is tasked to return the elder scroll to the orc in the college of winterhold.
a couple of days after you leave, a courier will arrive with a message for you from the orc, the message consists of the elder scroll glowing profusely and creating some sort of split in time.
you return to the college to the orc and upon arrival, all of the members of the college have evacuated the building.

you enter the library of the college of winterhold and see that the orc is angry and confused, he babbles on about time splitting right before our eyes and this could mean the end of all days. the room starts to shake and he fleas from the scene. the rip in time engulfs you and you blank out.

all of your equipment is gone, you are still your own race and you wake up in a dark room with snow elves around you cowering away from you. you realize that you are in a cell and the comosion attracts the attention of a dwarven guard.

the guard runs to the door and demands to know who you are and how did you get in here, after going through a number of talks with him, he then realizes that you are not a snow elf and gets other overseers and guards to the scene.

as they all come, they demand that you follow them into a room where you will be interrogated by the dwemmer you notice how stuck up they are "like the thalmor" and how much they love themselves.

as you are escorted through the halls, you see dwemmer centurions patroling the mining areas as to where snow elves are working away and laboring. the halls and the environment is vibrant with light and the sounds of machinary are running smoothly around you as you enter for interogation.

upon entering the room you speak with a dwemmer researcher who is baffeled as to how you have appeared! he is very interested from you and listens to you as you mention what the last thing was that you remembered. this dwemmer is old, in golden lined robes and has big bushy eyebrows.

as you are interacting with the researcher, dwemmer guards interupt the conversation and try to take you away as another laborer. here is where you choose to who you will fight for! the researched will argue at the guards and explain that he is important, but the guards dont want to listen to it.

it is up to you now and you can either sympathise for the snow elves and join them or stay with the researcher and join the dwemmer

take in mind that this dwemmer location is HUGE, there are dwemmer cities what look like malkrath but all underground and light up by the crystals etc. there are huge planes of fields littered with work camps outside of the city where the snow elves work. its like the underground part of blackreach but much much much bigger

snow elf side:
after sympathising for the elves you choose to work alongside them. you meet a tough elf who learns about you and begins to trust you. while talking to him and working with him in the mining area, an accident takes place and the dwemmer are about to take your friend away for punishment.

this is where you intervine. you can either talk them out of punishing him (speechcraft) or brawl with two dwemmer guards

after the incident, your friend lets you in that they will be rebelling against the dwemmer. they have longed to reach the sunlight again and you will help them by stealing weapons, sneaking around, assassinating guards, stealing from an armoury and sabotaging dwemmer machinery.

you then learn that there is an elder elf among your presence, he explains that the gods anger the dwemmer for turning a blind eye on them and believing that they are superior to the gods which have angered them. this elf is the leader of the snow elves and has seen your forecoming as a sign from the gods that they must take action

your final task is to sabotage the main dwemmer factory "where they make the centurions etc" and sneak in tainted soul gems that power the centurions. these tained soul gems recognise the snow elves as allies and the dwemmer as enemies. as this takes place you then sabotage main machine areas that power the cities and you sabotage the munitions supply which creates a huge explosion.

the lights go out, the crystals illuminate the rocky fields and around you, you see centurions, fighting dwemmers, dwemmer centurions fighting snow elves. rebellion has taken place and you return to meet with the elder elf, you enter the room and find him panicking, he said that he recieved a sign that the gods are angered and will contain destroy the dwemmer but will trap the snow elves in the process forever.

the scenery begins to shake and it is your time to rush out of here, you have to make your escape through dwemmer city streets, into main halls. all around you, you see dwemmer people screaming as they are dissapearing one by one. eventually you come across the exit that leads you to the surface for your escape.

you are now on the lift and you can see the light of day above you as you get closer. bad news happens and the elevator gets jammed and the sides of the elevator crumbles away as debris falls around you the rip in time reappears and engulfes you again. you then wake up on the floor or the library in the college of winterhold and all the items you obtained from there are still with you.

after that you can choose to revisit the huge place that is now under snow elf control but they are forever trapped in there

dwemmer side

after co-operating with the dwemmer, they see you as a worth adversary to become one of them. you work your way up the ranks with dwemmers and eventually you are sent out on a task to speak with a snow elf laborer... a corrupt one.

he then fills you in with information that the snow elves are planning a rebellion and as you make your way back to the main dwemmer city you are under attack from snow elves with stolen dwemmer weaponry.

fighting your way through the waves alongside other dwemmer you manage to retreat into the main city to defend it. your tasks are then to operate the huge dwemmer crossbows that have balistic arrows as snow elves try to get in. tainted centurions batter down the main gate into the city and this is where you make your last stand with your fellow dwemmer people.

you fight your way through waves of snow elves and take out centurions with balistic stationary crossbows. eventually the fighting begins to quell and the snow elves retreat into a cavern city they made, this is where you and your dwemmer friends pursue them to the city and trap them in the city to never see the light again.

as you make your way back the scenery begins to shake "unkown to your knowlege, the gods are angry and are about to trap the dwemmer themselves into their own underground region" you make your way back to the entrance and you get on the elevator to the top of the ground. just like in the snow elf scenario, the rip in time engulfs you and you return in the library once again.

again you can revisit the huge underground region via activating the rip but there will be far less dwemmer roaming around and more machinery roaming and patroling "mainly where the blocked snow elf city is"

there will be snow elf armour
new type of dwemmer armour and dwemmer light armour
hand held dwemmer balistic crossbow
snow elf weaponry made from crystals "very stylish looking"
a perk/magic that works in vanilla "whenever you enter dwemmer ruins you can use this magic once a day to calm dwemmer machines and fight for you" like animal allegiance but works once a day within the area you called it.
dwemmer/snow elf pick axe's that allow you to mine a lot faster in vanilla
septims, gems etc.

I think they should add a new storyline via DLC where Paarthurnax tries to take over...since if you don't kill him, he says something about other dragons finally obeying him or something. Also the dragon we can call on said something about Paarthurnax not being any better than Alduin.

It seems like quite the step down for DLC ..
You've defeated Alduin the World-Eater .. and now... You must defeat Paarthurnax the old rather weakened dragon who even in is his prime was only second to Alduin...

i cant see that marketing well, and it also means you can only use the DLC if you took one option

A new continent, large island or set of islands would be most intriguing. However, I'd be very nervous about going to Atmora. Everything I've read in the lore makes it sounds like a terrifying place. In fact, before sending any of my characters there, I'd like a Fallout - type option of equipping him, at a minimum, with a man-portable Ma Deuce with 1000 rounds, a flamethrower, and three tactical nukes.
Seriously - Atmora sounds like a real freak show, and the above loadout would be a minimum, IMHO.

Someone just tweeted that they just booked a 30-minute hands-on session with Bethesda for the Dawnguard demo at E3. We'll be hearing more soon...well, kind of soon! :tes:
Thanks for mentioning that, I wonder what Dawnguard is going to be all about when revealed @ E3, looking forward to more weapon variety or new Daedra.
