I'm curious if the Khajiit and Argonian vampire lords will have different models then the humans.

I'm curious if the human's will have different models. I am all for the idea, Vamp fan or not, but I don't care about turning into a giant Imp.

Hahahaha I agree. I hate ignorant people who think that the reason some of us want vampire content is because we like Twilight when that clearly is not the case.

Funny, people complained werewolves and vampires did not offer any substance in the Elder Scrolls universe and were stale, but now a DLC which seekes to improve and strengthen the lore on vampires is coming out, and people still whine and cry.

Honestly, I rather stomp on the embers before it turns into flame. We aren't allowed to feed them.

I don't understand why people complain. I think it would be cool if Bethesda made a DLC that explained the creation of vampires and had a questline that involved Lamae Beolfag and Molag Bal.

It was proven with Bloodmoon that Lycans deserved a spotlight and now with Dawnguard the other half gets it's fair place

I see it as a complete stand alone. A stand alone, that isn't tied to the MQ at all. I see it as having a questline, focused on Vampires but not totally devoted to it. Just like Skyrim is not totally devoted to Dragons.

If the people ragging on the Vampire lovers are anything like me then it's not because of Twilight, that's just one of the major things that have been making them seem well gay. In the last 5 years or so media outlets everywhere have been Vampire this and Vampire that with movies and lame ass tv shows, that crap is old and most of us are tired of it. Of course if you're a teeny bopper then you probably don't know what I'm talking about since your still wet behind the ears. But Vampires and Werewolves are just to overly played out from just about every angle possible, and most of the people would rather have some actual good content added then horse manure like that.

So good for them for following the media trend of uselessness, but we better get some actual real and good content not just this Vampire crap. If that's what floats your boat then good for you, but unlike Morrowind Vampirism isn't a big deal in Skyrim so why do we need to make it one. I'm not saying your bad for wanting or liking Vamp garbage, or Werewolf garbage but the world has seen enough of it to make it want to spew green pea soup, I'd rather have something better.

I do too. But I guess everyone has their own tastes. I have nothing wrong with that, but when they mentioned Stephanie Meye's abomination, then I have to say something.

Dawnguard should have some vampire stuff that we don't know yet.

This. It would appeal to everyone. If I see a thread or more than three posts of a rant against vampires in the Elder Scrolls, I will kick a puppy and punch a kitten.

This.

As stated before, they can fit into current lore. As long as they do a good job at incorporating it into TES lore, then I'm just happy they're improving this.

I think it's just the timing that's not ideal.
One could argue that Bethesda is simply doing what they intended to do all along, which is what I believe. But I can also see why some might feel that they are only trying to ride the vampire popularity wave with this dlc. There's nothing wrong with the latter either imo, so long as they still do a good job and deliver.

I would have preferred it if the dlc expanded on what we already have, the unresolved conflict with the Thalmor, the Forsworn who are still fighting...but this is merely the first dlc and as I said myself in the last thread, these files are just hints and there's probably much more than vampires and snow elves in this dlc.

That's true I don't and when I see the content if it's nothing but garbage then I won't. It should be little or nothing to do with Vampire anything since that was what Morrowind was largely about, quest wise. If there are spears then I'll get the DLC anyway regardless of the uselessness that's in it.

To a point, you are right. But just like there is stupid gargabe like Vivec, dragons, Dovahkiin, Morrowind, Kalpa, CHIM, Redguards and boring tuff like that, there will be vampires. it will appease many people. Dragons are overrated and been around for a long time. We see it in games, books, movies and it just gets annoying. I also hate the fact when I walk into a damn bookstore, I see too many vampire books about romantic vampires and teen [censored] material. It sickens me. What happened to the undead creatures that rise from their graves to feed and [censored] virgins? Society indeed has twisted the concept of the vampire to popular culture. But Bethesda can change this by going back to the roots. Though this Vampire Lord thing is of concern.

I'm not saying the whole vampire thing is bad, but after Morrowind making something like an entire DLC based on it seems like nothing more then fishing for money because it has vampires. If anything it should be related to wereanimals as they seem to be a bigger part of Skyrim then Vampires.

I mean what if It Did, and by MQ I mean general Quests tied to the guilds, how would you feel if the Guilds had some quests added that tie into the general scope of the DLC along with the additional Story from the DLC

Ugh, that is what Bethesda is going. Trying to make money.

Back in the Morrowind days, Todd Howard came up with the Bloodmoon expansion because many people wanted to see Lycanthropy come back. Same in Oblivion. This Twilight nonsense is just that, nonsense. But I doubt the DLC will be JUST about vampires, since there will be some generic cliche stuff like Snow Elves and etc.

Sorry, Morrowind was largely about vampires? Did you actually play that game? There were two quests for each of the three different clans, two very small quests that had very little pay off and lore attached to them.

More guild quests would be nice..... They just abruptly stop like oh the people of Skyrim no longer need anything stolen, killed, guarded, and there is no more magic to study. So I'm all for more guild related content.

I already said I'd rather have real and good content. Morrowind before Bloodmoon, from this point, not the actual game, were talking Vampire and Werewolfs there pal, was more about vampires, I said wereanimals it doesn't have to be lycanthropy. Weresharks, bears etc.... I'd much rather not have any of it but I'd rather see a werebear or wereshark then a flying vampire.
