Dawnguard and Future DLC Discussion - Thread #33

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 12:16 pm

I was pretty pissed off when I beat FO3 because my only save on my only character was right outside the place where you die.

It pissed me off.

I got the GOTY edition and never knew about it until I saw someone mention it in the forums.

Personally, I would prefer that there was still a stronger distinction between the two in the endgame.

I think it should be a little farther into the endgame.

Yeah, I got the GOTY edition too, which is why I did not know about that before.

It pissed me off enough that I never bought anything Fallout related after that. No DLC and no NV. It's not that I'm still mad, it's just that I've never played it since then. It killed my interest.

That is fair. I think Light Armor still has an advantage in terms of stamina use - correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading that sprinting uses less stamina in Light Armor. I think that if they could raise the armor cap so that Heavy Armor could achieve higher values, this would provide a compensating advantage for Heavy Armor, without weakening Light Armor.

NV doesn't let you play after the ending, even with DLC, so if that pissed you off you were right to avoid NV. That said, I love NV and think it was an amazing game so I would still recommend it.

I think there needs to be Light Daedric armor for Dremora spellcasters and archers. I can't see a Dremora settling for robes when he could get light armor.

I want DLC about Atmora. It would expand on being Dragonborn and Dragons. More shouts, more giants, etc...

The only problem is that would require a minor retcon.

I dont think dawnguard is going to be anything Dragonborn+dragon related D:
But i would also love that,I want a big expansion that expands on being dragonborn and the main quest,we have many unanswered questions and to be honest it feels unfinished, but i still like it,Then we have this whole thalmor situation..

We need Cigars and fricken Eye patches!!!

Haha :) that reminds me of a mod i used in morrowind "smokeable pipes" LOTR style.. it was fun! walking around holding a pipe x)

Didn't say anything about Dawnguard. I said "a DLC"

But think about it. If we ever ever get to see Atmora in a TES game that isnt TESO  , it has to be in a DLC for Skyrim. It's our last chance. This is the game dedicated to Nords and if we don't see it in DLC, I don't think we'll see it at all.

More weapons More weapons More weapons More weapons More weapons More weapons
More weapons More weapons More weapons More weapons More weapons More weapons
More weapons More weapons More weapons More weapons More weapons More weapons.
Axes, swords, crossbows, spears. Give me everything, and I will still want more. Maybe a more involved story, yeah that would be sweet to.
It seems like they tried, and granted, it's not the reason that I play. But Beth seemed like they out some effort into the story, maybe a little finer tuning would have made for a better end product? The TG was hands down, the best overall story, made me want to play more and pulled me in. Can't say that about the MQ or the civil war story. My opinion, but there it is.

There is no point in speculating about Hearth Fire when we have so few clues as to what Dawnguard is about. Seriously. And Hearth Fire could be about anything. That name provides no clues.

It provides about as many hints as 'Dawnguard' does, that is to say, nothing conclusive. Plenty of room to speculate.

That said, I think it may be something to do with TES Online. No basis for that, just guesswork- it could very well be the next DLC.

We just started talking about it in here, so no need to go through the rest of the threads. They're all about Dawnguard.

I don't think anyone knows anything other than that Bethesda recently trademarked that name. However, people noticed they trademarked Dawnguard months some time before they announced it as a DLC, so that leads people to speculate that Hearthfire may also be a DLC since they can't think of any other reason for them to trademark that term.

If the DLC winds up being a couple of quests involving vampires and/or werewolves, I will literally break down and cry.

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo not interested in "Twilight - the Skyrim chronicles."

I'm almost positive Dawnguard will have something to do with Vampires.
