Dawnguard PS3 & PC Release Date [merged topics] 2

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 11:26 am

Its annoying. Here I am running a microsoft OS, a loyal cusomter of theirs for many years, and what do they do? Pay money to delay content for my computer.

What stops me from getting really annoyed is beth's track record when it comes to releasing dlc that doesnt bug your game til it gets patched a few times. (And patched again later on the pc community).

It's politics guys, we are just fodder to be trampled on; why, because, 99 out of 100 people who complain, will still buy their products. It's just how people are in society, they whine a lot; but, never actually do anything to fix the problem. Not to say they aren't practicing bad ethics with their idea of business; but, that's just how things work in the world today. Civilization is full of addicts, fiending for whatever is new, no matter how poor the quality. How many of you have already ordered the new iPhone? Every new iPhone released in poor condition; yet, people still line up to be the first to have one. lol The world is interesting, you love it; but, at the same time it makes you *facepalm*.

I agree, we're in the same boat.

They can keep their politics. I'm sticking to my word when I said Skyrim was the last TES game I'm going to buy. :) Lots of people from MW were like that with Oblivion. I have no faith whatsoever that TES VI will not be stripped of more elements the series was originally known for. And more and more bugs.

I just wan't the damn 1.6 for PS3. If they're having issues with a patch for PS3 I don't even want to know how much of a mess Dawnguard will be for that platform.

If it doesn't come out on the 26th this month, I'll be a little mad.
Little? I am already a little mad for the silence beth is giving us. We haven't heard anything for the PC or PS3.

Because any really fatal flaws in the expansion will hopefully be patched out. Things that ruin saved games or break quests. The hopefully short delay in the pc release will be less annoying then having a save game corrupeted :P

Little things like vampires slaughtering trade keepers and etc, should be fairly easy to fix with the construction kit. Either by changing the location of attacks, or increasing guards in effected areas.

Honestly, and only talking about the PC here; the community itself could patch the game right up given some amount of time if they just release it. Community patches, console commands. There are a lot of ways of solving glitches and fixing things.

But again; only talking about the PC. PS3 did draw the shortest stick, unfortunately. I feel for you guys :<

Not being a PC elitist here but just stating the facts: I can see PC Dawnguard being released first just because of the Patch 1.6 thing and I heard about something about a Dawnguard updated Creation Kit that was accidentally leaked?

I really thnk we all should start being nasty...... Lets throw civil conversation to wind and get down in the gutter..... We need to make things as painful as possible for beth and ourselfs....... Negitivity is the only way we can get even for being denied what we want.... I usually take my frustration out on my wife in skyrim... Like today.. when I came home to riften i saw my wife using my alchimy table even after I told her not to touch it... I beat her up so bad right infront of my house karl....

It was accidentally pushed out before being reverted, yes.

From Pete Hines!
maldito perro I swear he never says anything worth knowing or he says something we already knew about. I still don't understand what this guy does. Beth must of said "hey we need a riot shield" and he was the lucky svcker. It really discourages optimism when he writes stuff like that. Pete can go consummate himself.

Imagine absolutely nothing happening on the 26th and they only announce a tiny bit of news a few days after.

Yeah, i expect them officially announce it to the other plaforms at the start of august, and the release, atleast for PC, to be around mid-august to early september.

Starting to hate beth for keeping us in the shadow, we're all loyal customers and they are losing some by this weird action. After the 30 day exclusive period ends give us the dlc why keep us waiting? Fixing bugs or?

Well apparently somebody tried to leak a Dawnguard version on the nexus http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/733686-svenser-banned/page__p__5845510__hl__banned__fromsearch__1#entry5845510 . Which means that there might be a PC version ready...

I doubt a large business like Bethesda does their accounting on a weekly basis.

The 30 day period ends next week on Thursday, I don't really have much hopes for an announcement on Friday so I would expect something in the first week of August. I really can't see Bethesda pushing the release the second the 30 day period is out.
