I always find it interesting how a move like this ends up causing us to all pick on one another, diss one another and the platform we play on, bicker with one another and take it out on one another when in reality we should all just not buy the game if it angers us that much. Why do we aim to hurt one another instead of just making our opinions known to the companies responsible? I mean shouldn't we just let Sony, Bethesda and Microsoft know out displeasure instead of calling one another names? What on earth are we accomplishing?

If this happens hoppefully EA, Activision will finally be bankrupt and we will never see them again. Too bad that Activision CEO will get a large payout when ever he leaves thoguh.

AV will never go bankrupt so long as they have the seemingly infinite revenue stream of Blizzard to bleed dry.

Bethesda isn't going to make it any easier on us by telling us the score anytime soon, and arguing about it is going nowhere. It's just a shame that this whole thing kind've sapped my excitement for a potentially great game right before release.

Why? The vanilla game is better than any DLC. Just because you MIGHT miss out on one DLC, it shouldn't ruin everything.

Its not an indictment on PS3 player's love for the series. It is just a business decision. You shouldn't take it so personally. Microsoft paid for it and Sony did not. That is it.

True, but only as a stress relief mechanism. Little things like this shouldn't stress you out though.

Sure, this thing is completely out of proportions. I guess the gaming community is so cuddled, that even little things like this explode in bloodthirst and fury.

It's a just a game. Don't let the little things get to you, or you won't be ready for the big ones.

well first when i heard about this i thougt "meh saw it coming"
my text may seem that i am angry but i am calm ass hell just got nothing to do just watching dexter to pass the time untill Fallout new vegas hits the island i call Iceland.

Really wish Bethesda would tell us if we will get the dlc later on instead of just saying that we will not get them then 2 months later boom "dlc′s for fallout new vegas will be available on the steam marketplace and the psn 2 months after xbox get′s them !

The problem is that just about everyone who's on these boards wants NV. They want as much NV as humanly possible.

Not buying the game for some of us is akin to cutting off our own arms as a form of protest. Except it isn't even that controversial. I doubt Bethesda will care about even a thousand lost sales, if they pulled shenanigans like this.

It's not necessarily just "one" DLC. That's one interpretation of Gstaff's comment, yes, but "yeah, all the other DLC will also be held back six months due to exclusivity" follows just as readily. Arguably even more so, given that this is exactly what happened to the PS3 fans in FO3.

No offense, but as a moderator to this forum, I question your ability to see objectively and no in favor of bethesda. Not voicing our anger accomplishes nothing but making your job easier. It doesn't get our message out, and face it, most consumers are sheep and will buy it anyway. The outrage and supposedly lost sales from Activision charging $20 for a map pack was made up financially by the fact that Activision charged $20 a map pack. We shouldn't be calling eachother names, but I see no reason not to defend my position on this issue. I'm guessing you are wise enough to have realized already that telling people not to buy the game if they are so unhappy will probably not actually incite anyone to do so, and that it certainly won't cost Bethesda enough money to make whatever payoff they got from Microsoft to be a bad deal for them financially.

When video games are $50-$60 for basic packages and up to $100+ for CEs, we have a right to be angry when we are entrapped into a bad purchasing decision by a multimillion dollar company.

People get really passionate about things that they love. It's true that perhaps the level of anger is excessive, but at least we're not soccer fans rioting, right?

The DLC is important to me -- I want to be able to experience as much Fallout as quickly as possible. Call it spoiled, but I'm willing to shell out my hard earned money in exchange. And if I'm willing to pay, why shouldn't Bethesda be willing to take my money?

This decision is essentially Bethesda gambling that they will make more money by receiving whatever Microsoft is paying them for exclusivity than the amount they will lose in sales on the PC & PS3. I say we prove them wrong.

The people in charge aren't here to yell at, and if they were, threads would get locked for yelling at them anyway, so people who are frustrated with a situation out of their control do the next best thing, take it out on each other.

I'm not going to express my anger. I'm not going to bash Bethesda, even though they deserve every bit of hate they are getting. I just want to know one thing: Why? Why, Bethesda, did you shaft the fanbase of 2/3 platforms?

/sigh. Now, Bethesda is no different than Activision.

Do you think the switch to Steam has something to do with this? At least, on the PC's end. Microsoft will not be getting any money from the PC version at all anymore. Just a thought. I'm pretty angry though. Definitely not enough to not buy the game, but I am pretty angry. We had better at least get the DLC in a timely fashion after the Xbox gets it. Hell, if it doesn't, the decision to do this will probably convince me to just buy the GOTY version with all of the DLCs once it comes out instead.

I'm on a PC so eventually I will get mods and DLC. However, I still think it is wrong of Bethesda to release DLC for one system before any other even if said systems will eventually get the DLC.

Why is the deal bad? You get what you pay for as everyone else. Nothing else. Further content isn't part of the initial deal.

This is true. I do play 360 and I am upset that PS3 and potentially PC won't get the DLC. I still have hopes that it will be something small and not a full blown DLC.
