DLC Suggestions #3

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 12:44 pm

1. Northen Passage leads to New Caanan and involes Crimson Caravan.
2. Canyon Wreckage leads to The Divide and will involve your backstory and ties to mysterious Courier 5.
3. Camp Searchlight Airport will involve learning to fly in the Boomers VR simulator and then… flying.
4. Haven’t found where yet, but one about the Grand Canyon and Joshua Grahme aka the Burning Man.
5. Mojave Outpost will lead you west to the Hub.

The ports for DLC are already in the game. You just gotta find them.

I still want:
Vault 51
A new casino with a quest involving an Ocean's 11 style heist.

And now I also would like to add:
Something that has enemies with power armor. I like intimidating faceless stormtroopers.

Any type of DLC involving the Enclave, because its tradition to put them in every Fallout game, and with the new power armor, it would be really sweet.

or at least DLC that adds the ability to explore old Enclave areas like Mariposa Military Base, or Navaro

No it isn't.
Tactics, BOS, FO1.
None of them had Enclave.

And no, what we see of the Enclave in New Vegas are the remnants, we see how they have fallen from their grace.
On the east coast it could be different since we don't know how many there are left there.
But on the west coast most of them were hunted down and killed.

Yea there would be no lawsuit. Gearbox implemented many fan suggestions into Borderlands and you don't see them getting sued. Try not to mislead people by talking about things you have very little insight on.

Ever since I found out that Elder Elijah in the BoS disappeared at the battle at Helios One I've always thought of a Brotherhood of Steel related DLC. And in the last patch the Abandoned BoS Bunker is locked without a key or anything (Even though I got in before the patch ^_^ ) it just reinforced the idea that I had. Something to do with Elijah returning with a sample of new technology that he found in an untouched military experiment facility or something like that. Then the Brotherhood would probably send an expedition to the facility and you would follow. I can't really think of anybody who would be there to fight except the station's automated defenses or something like that. Just thought it would a cool expansion to help out the Brotherhood more.

If they do release an Outer-Space type Dlc, It should DEFINETLY include Area 51.

I feel like Area 51 was left out of the game. I mean if we are dealing with the Vegas\Mojave area WE NEED TO INCLUDE AREA 51.

Lol at the caps, but I'd love to see Area 51 with the twist of the Fallout Universe.

And for other DLC,

1. California ( Im going, going, back ,back to.....)

2. New Cannan

3. New Reno

4. (new)New York City ( You could call it the Concrete Wasteland) <--------------would be pretty EPIC

A DLC that would expand CL. Everything east of the fort is blankness, and CL got kinda left out, and were not as big as i thought they would be.

The DLC would add

Ceaser legion settlements (On the east side of the river of course)

More Ceaser legion side quest (Killing NCR leaders, sabotage quest, takeing over NCR settlements, raiding outpost etc)

New weapons and armor of course. (Id like to see a shield imo)

Well i could go on but i think you get the point.

More Weapon Mods!

I was disappointed with the lack of weapon mods out there. Very few mods made you really consider how to combine and put your weapon together.
It'd be nice if you would have tons of weapon mods for each weapon.
Here's an example:
Hunting Rifle Mods:
Scope, Extended Mag, Custom Bolt Action, Silencer,[reduces weapon noise] Oak wood, [or something wood made... it increases weapon condition]
Custom Loader [Instead of 1 shot being loaded, 2 are loaded for double the fire power.]

Carbine Assault Rifle
Extended Mag, Silencer, Scope [Close- Medium range scope to add more accurate fire power.] Weapon Conditioner(I am saying it wrong). [Increases weapon condition] Improved Springs [Faster Fire Rate] Titanium Barrel [Adds Weapon Damage +5] Folding Stock [Decreases weight.]

Things like this would give the user thoughts about how to actually craft their weapon in game, instead of having a set amount to just, well, mod your weapon for you.

Night Vision

We all saw how the helmet in the opening gave off night vision, only to realize it did not do so in game.
Any helmet with a flash light, or a type of NV setting on it should also have the ability to be activated for in game use.
Ranger Helmet would give off red NV. A brotherhood of steel helmet would give off green NV. When equipped, the game will tell you that you have NV on.

It could be triggered by pulling back on the left anolog stick and holding circle. The users arm would go up, click something, and walla, NV is activated.
It would be like doing those special unarmed combat moves, but instead, you'd be given night vision, but only if the helmet was equipped, of course.

As long as it is included into DLC, I'm fine.

New Companions. Namely, bring back Goris from 2. He shouldn't be too old, by now. That happened in 2241. Dunno how long Deathclaws live.

I would really really love to go to some old Fallout or Fallout 2 locations. Maybe a DLC where you revisit the Boneyard or the The Shi. One where you get to see how New Arroyo fares would be really cools.

I think Denver would be another good one, assuming Denver isn't just another Legion town.

How about Mar's Attacks?? Ack-Ack!! Have the courier stumble upon an alien scout ship attacking where ever, Primm or Novac or ... Fight them ... capture their scout ship, need science of 70 to fly it, and fly it to the mother ship and capture the mother ship. Use the Mothership Zeta areas with some modifications. Yes ... No?

Obviously there will be some DLC related to the locked gate at Mojave Outpost, the Canyon Wreckage, and the Northern Passage. But I am wondering if there will be something Enclave related, reference the voice recordings in ED-E having him sent to Navarro from Adams AFB.
There must be some kind of continuing Enclave presence there, and it would be neat to revisit the place. I would also like to see something involving the talking Deathclaws from Fallout 2. And don't start with the "They were all killed except for Goris etc". We don't know that, more of them could have survived..

I want a DLC expanison thats the same size as the Shivering Isles for Oblivion. It should offer a whole new map not just a tiny map like the Pitt and Point Lookout. The questline should be at least 20 hours and there should be a lot of side quests.

Indeed, set it in Colorado, too! Denver is a must. It was to appear in VB and I live right by it. I really want to visit a retro-futurist-post-apocalyptic version of it.

Yeah, great idea, lets go to a place that we've seen before in the series that has only had around 40 years to develop. I'm sorry, but if we were going to return to an old location, it should be from FO1, where they have had over 100 years to develop.

I doubt we'd be able to go anywhere close to Junktown.

Closest we would get is Shady sands (NCR)

reno was around in FO1. you just couldn't go there. learn some backstory about reno, its been ruled by tribals turned crime family for a looooong time. think old-world italy and how the first organized crime rings formed. the early mafia, etc. that is similar to the environment of reno.

however in NV the van graffs have taken over not one but TWO casinos in reno, meaning that the place itself has to have changed GREATLY. obviously the architecture would remain the same (oh commercial row, i will miss the days of pk'ing on multiplayer shards there) but the dynamic and the feel of the town would have changed.

HOWEVER....

they need to make the fortress, and the boneyard. more specifically... the boneyard. it needs to be an enormous playzone filled with decrepit skyscraqers and empty buildings with nothing in them besides bones and dust... and mutants and raiders.

i'd love to see the gun runners "military" force scrapping with the regulators, or raiders if they decided to resolve their conflicts. i bet that with the deathclaws gone the boneyard has evolved into a massive centralized economy area, complete with attractions and residential areas... and of course, the outlying areas filled with hostiles and destroyed buildings.

being able to explore the masters base and the church after the fact.. now that would be cool. but for some reason i am thinking it was destroyed. can't remember exactly how.
