DLC Suggestions #3

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 9:21 am

some more underwater things to do with a few mutated fish or sharks and maybe add in the game a harpoongun to shoot them with . just something that makes use of the rebreather more . The bomber quest was cool , just to short and to peaceful.

I'd like to see something involving Joshua Graham, Area 51, and just for kicks Pawn Stars.
The Graham DLC would be about finding him in the desert, helping him recover, and getting revenge on the legion. Or cutting your way through whats left of the NCR to find him and return his head to Caesar.
I'm not sure what the Area 51 Groom lake DLC would be, probably finding/securing new technologies for factions in Vegas
The Pawn Stars DLC would be similar to the museum in Tribunal, the guys from the show voicing characters based on themselves (but most likely ghouls) hire you to recover valuable items from the wasteland in exchange for caps, xp, or other items.

Cat's Paw magazine should set up shop in NV. :celebration:

Ok, seriously though...

I'd like to see Colorado Springs.

I'd like to see Vault Tec HQ.

I'd sort of like to revisit some of the stuff from FO1 too. I'd like to see the game have some more mutants and abominations in it. Why no more floaters? I think there is more story to be told with FEV. It was sort of used in FO3 but I think FO1 did it better..

Bring back some of the guns taken out, especially the ones in Mick and Ralph's store that you can't buy.

Infiltrator, generic FO3 assault rifle, chinese pistol, and the .32 revolver and I'll be happy.

My top 3:
*DLC allowing you to carry on with the story and maybe change the fate of New Vegas(Eg. NCR to Caesar's Legion), and maybe add some new side-quests.
*A prequel to the actual story
*Visiting DC and meeting your Fallout 3 character

1. Lots more radio chatting from Mr. New Vegas

2. Use the rest of the map.

3. Have to do another quest (longer kind) that involves helping No-Bark

4. Going to the Grand Canyon.

5. All types of more weapon, weapon mods, and more schematic built weapons modable to

6. Area 51 with Hanger 18 of course

Okay, thought of a new thing.
How about being able to place orders at merchants?
Let me go into detail.

Say you want some 40mm grenades for your grenade rifle/launcher, it can be kinda hard to find that specific item in stock.
So at weapon and ammo traders you can place two orders, with 50 barter you can place three and with 100 you can place 4.
When you place an order it will take three in game days until it's arrive to their shop.
The items you ordered are in a separate shop window initiated through dialogue and cannot go away, this is your order, and will stay so until you actually buy it.
Each item you buy from your order costs 25% more (due to specific shipping costs) with 100 in barter it will be 5% more.
When you place an order you get a huge list of things available to order.
But you can't order ammo, weapons, armor, mods or anything from a doctor.
So when you place an order you don't get to decide how much you'll get.
Placing an order on C4 will net you 3 to 6 of them, the higher your luck the more likely you're going to get the most out of that order.
Placing an order on Mininukes will net you 2 to 4.
Placing an order on Max Charge Microfusion Cells will net you 50 to 100.
Placing an order on regular Microfusion Cells will net you 200 to 400.

Why would I want this in the game?
Cause it can be hard to get what you specifically want sometimes.
Say I want 10 Fixers to help that junkie in the quest for the Followers, then I need to go around to all the doctors and see if they have them.
If I only got 5 at all doctors in total then I need to wait three days and go around to all of them again.
That is [censored] annoying as hell.
And it can be even more annoying for an Explosives character.

So with this mechanic you could get ammo for those weapons that is rare to have in the shop.
This doesn't mean you can exploit it and get 50.000 mininukes.
It's all dependent on what you order.
If the ammo is for a weapon that is incredibly powerful then the ammo you get from the order will be balanced in order to not exploit it.

One should even be able to order Alien Power Cells but that is a whole other thing.
The APC would be costly, you pay 200% more for each power cell than it's usual value (Because logically it's a very very rare ammo type) and you only get 5 to 10 APC's per order.

This would work for most items in the game.
You could place orders on food at places like Grub And Gulp.
Place order on medical items like drugs, doctors bags and healing items at doctors.
And orders on weapons, ammo and armor at general stores or gun holders.

You cannot place orders on Energy Weapons or their ammo at the Gun Runners, for that you need to place it at a general store in Novac, Primm or Goodsprings or place it at Van Graffs.
The items also follow a certain level requirement to avoid people exploiting it to get the best weapon for their class at lvl 3.
So really good items like APC's, Gauss Rifle, Anti-Materiel Rifle, Grenade Machine Gun, Zap Glove and Rippers will not be available for you at lower levels.

And uhm...
Yeah I think this about covers it.

Id like to see more weapon mods and maybe some armor mods too. The ability to get different pipboys like newer/ more advanced models. The one thing Id really like to see the is the G.E.C.K/ game editer on the XBOX and the PS3 similar to the one for the PC version.

I didn't read the two previous threads either, and I get the feeling these have already been suggested numerous times, but I'll state them again just so people know how popular the idea might be:

I'd like to go west and re-visit some of the popular locations from the first two Fallout games. :tops:

I would like to see how The Hub has progressed. New Reno as well.

There could be a DLC that takes place in Steamboat Colorado. Maybe the wolves in the area got mutated and they're called moonbreathers(Pretty much the appearance of a werewolf). Have some kind of story about them getting into the town and killing everyone except you and a few people. Then you have to try and survive the next couple of days until a boat arrives. And have actual weather.

Also, alot of people like the idea of underwater DLC. Why not have one in Salt Lake City?

This is for a patch, ahem, FIX THE POWDER GANGERS!
There's two of them at Jean Sky Diving which are hostile towards me even though I'm "Liked" by them.
Killing them results in me being vilified and shot on sight.
Also, I did some of their quests and they said that I could have spare explosives, which was great, but putting on a poweder ganger armor and then asking for spare supplies makes Eddie say "Nope, not for you, rumor is that you've been working against us".
Working against them my [censored] ass I did!
Seriously, fix them.
I can't chill out whenever I'm around them, I'm always afraid that the game will spaz out and make them vilify me for some buggish reason.

Area 51 would be sweet.
Visit Jason Bright's colony by rocket
Cheyenne Mountain NORAD bunker (should be pretty much intact even after the war - an untouched super vault that was never opened - until now...)

I'd like a DLC that takes you to Legion occupied territory that has been fully romanized. The context is that there is a rebel faction emerging in Caesar's territory, it has the potential to be a great ally to the NCR, Mr House or yourself while it has the potential to cause a big problem for Caesar. The rebellion is not openly fighting (not immediately at least) and is well integrated into society, whatever it may be like. The reason for you going there could be one of many: You could side with Caesar, in which case he asks you to deal with a rebellion in one of his territories. You could side with the NCR in which case they ask you to assist the rebels in order to destabilize Caesar's regime. Or you could do it for yourself or Mr House in which case you are heading there to help the rebels in return for support at Hoover Dam.
The main reason I would like to see this sort of thing as a DLC is that I would like to see what it is like to live under Legion rule, in the Mojave wasteland you only see their camps and forts whereas in a place like Arizona you would see Legion society as Caesar would want it to be. Would there be imitations of Roman baths? Viaducts? Coliseums (rather than the dirty little pit you can fight in in the fort)?

a compaion dlc of the legion varity cuz all the human compains hate the legion

just some legion near non focused on a weapon but melee weapon would be a machete of course and ranged be throwing spears and he has the flag bear armour or maybe centurion armour made of PA and if you walk into hidden valley he'll go nuts or if you help NCR or BOS he leave and return to arena.

But I'd rather have more Legion stuff in the main map than have it be an "off the map" DLC.
They should just expand the main map a little to the east and give us a pathway or cave or something near the river so we can go there as we please.
(Meaining: we won't have to take the boat from cottonwood cove to The Fort.)
