Doomsday Preppers

However if the apocalypse comes I will be safe. I am in Finland, the nation nobody can locate from the map.

I think you're underestimating our international reputation. Not that it means anyone would waste a nuke on us :hehe:

Edit: I mixed "your" and "you're" I've become eveything i've always hated! :ahhh:

Instead of wasting time and resources for preparing for the apocalypse we could - you know - work to prevent it.
But of course that's too much of an effort.

However if the apocalypse comes I will be safe. I am in Finland, the nation nobody can locate from the map. In a few years I will also be huddled in a laboratory so I'll be among the first ones who gets the vaccine against The Virus. In fact, I may be one of those who made it.
Yes, love and information will stop a natural disaster. Why didn't I think of that!!!

Why would they do that? We're not bugging them like other countries do.

Sweden has Copenhagen, that'll get nuked for sure. And the Russians would nuke both countries as payback for the past, I see them training nukes that way just from spite.

I've always quite liked the idea of going looting. I think it stems from various video games and watching Supermarket Sweep as a child.

No. Denmark has Copenhagen. Sweden has Stockholm. And although Finland resisted the Russians the Swedes never got into any major fight with the russians.
We had Olof Palme as leader during the later Soviet years, who certainly built some respect with Russia as he kept being somewhat ani-American.

A life spent constantly worrying about the end of the world is a sad life indeed.

Agreed ^_^.

Well, Sweden and Finland will still get the fallout from that. As well as the nukes trained that way for according to you no reason. Kinda the concept behind MAD.

If you think Iceland isn't remote enough... I live in the middle of freakin nowhere. All I see around my house are mountains and one lake.

Good luck zombies :P

Think of it this way, why would the Russians leave ANYONE that could be a threat not a steaming pill of radioactive slag. It doesn't matter to them, if they were going down they were taking EVERYONE down with them. They are planning a 100mg icbm for gods sake, the largest bomb ever detonated was have that because even the Russians weren't willing to go that far on propaganda. And now when the Soviet Union is gone. Here they go planning something that will punch a hole big enough to take out ALL of LA and then the surrounding area, and then the atmosphere above that for miles. In MAD there really isn't thought, good thing it isn't likely to happen.

Also just realized I was thinking Stockholm not Copenhagen.

But we don't pose a threat. If they went on the full offensive they'd take us in a matter of weeks. So those nukes are probably better spend bombing more of America.
In all honesty I highly doubt they'll use a bomb like that anyway. It's just showing muscle, just like the other superpowers do all the time, like insecure little boys showing off their fancy toys to eachother while the rest of us really don't care.

It's Russia being Russia, they would use it if they thought they were going to lose. It really wouldn't matter to them if the whole worlds dead as long as they got to show they went out with a bigger boom than everyone else. Russian thinking is....confusing. They had planes that had a 100 ppsh's that all fire at once from the bomb bay doors. I'm not sure they are entirely capable of rational though, again read http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2007/09/soviet-doomsday/.

I haven't really looked into the zombie guide, a friend is reading it right now. I'm joining the Army, right now the only thing holding me back is my weight. I need to lose not only fat but muscle, which is annoying since I worked so hard to gain that muscle...

??

BS

#1) You can get a waiver to join the military for ANYTHING... even being to stupid to pass that ridiculously easy ASVAB (I know, I had people in my unit that failed it)

#2) It's only body fat they care about... not muscle. Furthermore, so long as you can complete the physical fitness tests, that's all that really matters. They just know for a fact mr 5'5" @ 220lbs with 20% body fat can't do it. PS: we had some major fat asses in the army too.

No, Mutually Assured Destruction means that in a nuclear conflict both the attacker and the target get destroyed completely, not the whole world, though the nuclear fallout would of course spread globally. Besides, given the more or less effective ballistic missile defenses nuclear powers have it would be foolish to waste warheads on unimportant targets.

51% of Americans believe a economic collapse is likely to happen with 25 years.

with good reason...

our system is built upon the REQUIREMENT of CONSTANT GROWTH in a world that we can no longer afford to continue growing because we've already passed the line of sustainability.

It's inevitable.

Our economy MUST change or it WILL collapse.

This is a fact.

When they have thousands and thousands of them why would they only nuke one country? The amount of icbm's the Russians have is staggering, and that isn't including what all the other nuclear countries have. If there is nuclear way it will be global, if you think otherwise then your the average person hoping for the best as they turn into ash. Rational thought process won't be going on anymore.
