Drinking

Stealing ideas from the smoking topic , basically same question flipped over

Do you drink? Feel free to share what your favorite drinks are or your stories about doing stupid [censored] while drunk etc

Personally yes I do , and my favorite is Bud anything... Bud light , BL Lime , Bud Ice , Budweiser , Bud select .. I have tried like everything they sell in the stores and to me Bud is just IT... I also like Smirnoff ice in every flavor. But Mango/Triple black are my favorites of that

As far as hard liquor goes , I haven't tried alot... just Tequila , Raspberry Vodka , and Jack Daniels.... none of which did I like (I don't know... maybe I should have refrigerated them 1st? lol)

Ehh, I drank a half a glass of champagne, but it tasted like piss so I dumped the rest of it in the sink, and I took a sip of merlot once and thought it tasted like nasty vinegar. Those two experiences don't entice me to drink. I'm legal to drink, but I just don't find the taste or smell appealing.

Not really the biggest fan of alcohol. I do enjoy the occasional nights of drinking with friends.

On a bit of a gin phase. Can't get enough of it. However, my favorite drink will always be beer that's amber to the blackest black times infinity.

Yes. I probably drink slightly too much, but I have unhealthier things in my life to worry about. Like being unhealthy.

In terms of what, I like the odd porter in terms of not so alcoholic stuff, and Irish whiskey in terms of spirits. Not really a fan of other spirits especially, probably due to having gone through the usual foolish phase of my youth where I'd overdo it with vodka, Bacardi etc and not even want to smell them again. Ever.

I totally get that cause thats how I felt about it till less than a year ago and one of my favorite band (Asking Alexandria) started glorifying the living hell out of alcohol then they peaked my curiosity and I was like damn I gotta see what this is REALLY about so I bought fruity tasting easier to drink 6 pack drinks and really gave it a chance and I love it now lol

The whole thing is not taste , the point is you force yourself to drink enough of it to feel buzzed/drunk and then its great

Then you fall in love with the feeling of buzz/drunk , and then the taste becomes more and more bearable

It also depends on what you drink , I mean... Smirnoff Ice taste like Mountain Dew straight up... Smirnoff Ice Triple Black tastes like straight up Sprite.... I think anyone can acheive their 1st drunken experience easily off Smirnoff ice :celebration:

Its weird also that , at 1st the taste of beer was virtually unbearable to me... but its like after I became used to the other more palatable drinks like Smirnoff Ice beer became more and more edible.... and now I can just sit there and basically chug a whole pack of bud now :hubbahubba:

I did this with a can of beer, my dad was not pleased then I told him it tasted [censored] :P
I drink when I go out to the pub, dancing, parties and a bottle or two if I'm at a friends house and its offered. I don't drink in my house, I don't know why but I just never seen anything pleasing about it if no one is around to enjoy it with me or even if they are I still don't drink. I was the only one in my house on my 18th that never drank, apart from the drinking game that my underage sibings played.
When I got out for drinks though I drink what could be bucket loads and rack up costs of nearly £50 - 100 but I never get drunk, either I have a lead lined liver or a small portion of chippy chips actually stops the affects of alcohol :)

At my years prom we all got glass of either red or white wine with the dinner and I was going to say red but with everyone saying white I ended up sub-concoinously saying white, and what a mistake that was, it was like trying to drink fire and almost as bad as one mix friends made with Irn-Bru, Peach Snaps, Apple Sours and Lemonade - Bleach
Best Combo every is Rockstar and Apple Sourz - HeartAttack, its called that for a reason lol was up for 24+ hours after 4 pints. Or JackDaniels and Coke.

Bud isn't beer, it's p-ss water. :)

My friends brew their own beer, and there are many local breweries around here (Troegs, Victory, Yards, Dogfish Head, Flying Fish, Sly Fox) so it'd be tedious to name all the beers I like.

I tend to go for porters, rye beers, Saisons, and Belgian ales. Not an IPA fan. I don't like anything that's overly hoppy.

There's no spirit I really like, and I don't understand what makes a 'good' scotch a good scotch. I've had 10dollar bottles and 100bottles and they taste the same. Same with Cognac. Grappa is really good, but I've never seen it for sale where I live.

So yeah. I like alcohol. . .

To each their own or whatever.... I have tried all the fancy ales the stores have to offer... I legitmately don't really like them and I LOVE drinking "piss water" , so... whatever

Summer flavor Blue Moon was good though , but no other weird fancy pants beers have I really liked that I've tried

I love this topic. Oh yes, I drink.
I like mead, whisk(e)y, bourbon, vodka, aquavit, brennivín, lager, ale, stout, amber beer, white beer and even cider.
Stupid things I did while going down the boozer? Too stupid to confess. There's also a lot of good things though.

No hard feelings. Smirnoff Ice, Olde English 800, and Colt 45 got me through high school.

I just hate it when somewhere advertises their 'wide selection' of beers and hands me a list of Bud, Miller, and Coors to choose from.

If you like Blue Moon you'll like any Belgian winter ale.

I said the summer flavor blue moon with honey & wheat or whatever was in it was nice

Regular non seasonal Blue Moon I can drink , but I'm not too crazy about it... have tried their special fall flavor and hated it , the winter flavors alright though

You said you don't like IPAs , I tried that too a few times and that was just the worst crap ever

Edit : I personally feel that Bud , Coors , and Millers popularity is as high as it is for a reason... it literally tastes better to me (and obviously the millions who also prefer the stuff to fancy beers)

I drink a fair amount. If I'm out it's usually some sort of pansy beer like Corona or Budweiser, at home Fosters or Carlsberg. I don't mind Ale, but I can't drink too much, it tastes nasty after a while. I'm not very big on wine but I prefer white to red, spirit wise it's more girly drinks like Malibu.

Not habitually. I mean, I've only drank once this entire year, so that shows how rarely I do it. I like Absolut Vodka, but I haven't tried a whole lot of alcoholic drinks to begin with, so I can't really say which one I think is best.

So it's basically a step up from Heineken.
Belgian ales.

One can rarely go wrong with Belgian beer. In a certain sense.

I used to dislike beer and wine, but loved to get drunk at parties. Now, I realised I love beer that actually tastes something, mostly belgian beers (No, not Stella Artois, please) or otherwise strong beer (7-9%), from local breweries. I developed a taste for wine, the trick is to identify the kind of graqe that you like and go for it. As for strong alcohol, I don't really like it, except maybe occasionally a Black Russian (half Tia Maria and Vodka).
I don't drink to get drunk, not anymore, I drink for the taste of it, especially when having a feast with friends and family. I do appreciate a nice cold beer after a hard day's work! And giving that the beer I drink is at least 7%, one is plenty enough to get a little more happy and relaxed.
I don't like to get too drunk, dizzy and sick. I love the start of alcohol effect and try to stay there... but I do get surprised sometimes, if I'm more tired then I thought or more hungry. I don't see the point of blacking out and calling it a great night!

I literally cannot do that , my stomach cannot even contain enough booze for me to black out and wake up with my face in a toilet

Well , I guess it could happen if I was stupid enough to try to take it all in the form of shots and take like 10 shots of hard liquor in a 30second time frame or something , but I'm not stupid

Drink? Yes, please!

I regularly drink beer: lagers (preferably Jupiler) with lunch, ales/trappists often in the evenings (preferably Westmalle Tripel, Rochefort, Brugse Tripel).
Often I also drink wine. I don't know a lot about it, but my favourite kind seem to be Rioja's such as Campo Viejo and Coto de Imaz.
Every now and then, I can really enjoy a good scotch; Laphroaig, Jura, Lagavulin, Bowmore, ...

I was listen to Iron Maiden, this is what I got:

“The Iron Maiden”

10 oz. LSD

Serve on rocks. Stir vigorously.

If thats the same LSD I'm thinking of then.....
I like how it advises not to listen to them alone when doing this

lol
Don’t listen to Mastodon alone. We suggest…
“The Mastodon”

2 oz. LSD
2 oz. Egg
1 oz. Cognac

Combine in shaker and strain into cocktail glass. Serve. Garnish with wedge of pineapple.

WTF! I know Mastodons a trip but LSD & Egg? LOL

I had started typing in a bunch of bands then was like wait... what if I put something thats obviously not a bands name in this? and so I did and it was hilarious... I typed in the N word and they actually have a drink and a picture and everything

Typing Drinkify into Drinkify and hitting enter gave the site a stroke , lol

“The Yoda”

8 oz. Bottled water
8 oz. Iced tea

Combine in shaker and strain into cocktail glass. Serve. Stir vigorously.

Wow... this is just fun

girly drinks like Malibu.

Girly or not I like the taste so I drink it.

Dont really drink often, dont drink anything other thn spirits nymore, to me beer tsted the sme, and was never that great. Bought some cheap mead from Morrisons the other day (only place I saw it), wanted to try it... I think I will try making my own, becuase it tasted pretty weird and seemed weak (I dont care about strength, but expected it to be stronget than it was 13% iirc). Still want to try Absinthe and Benadictine spirits, havent found them yet.

This post makes me sound like I drink alot, I dont I swear.
