Fix the lag please...

No no .. It's lag. And it's terrible.

I'd say this is the worst lag I've experienced since Gears 2 -- which is HORRIBLE.

Funny how you talk like you know something in a game when other people here for different issues such as lag, glitching problems, and problems with the servers. Many things on this game happen to other becuz of the simple fact that the SERVERS! If you don't have lag issues or server problems good for you kido then you don't have to worry bout it. If you have a better way of playing then hell props to you but don't sit here and tell us gamers from different areas that we don't have lag when you aren't sitting right here in our homes knowing what is going on when are telling everyone on a forum for fee back. Back off on other ppl's cases when I know for a fact these gamers are having issues. Me myself am having issue with the servers and lag and I never have any problems with any other games like I do with this one. So now that I have made my point to you how bout you start respecting other ppl when they are having problems and stop being a child.

You criticize his knowledge yet showcase none of your own. Whenever their are problems with an online game it's 'THE SERVERS!!!111' Crysis 2 is peer to peer. During a game the only 'server' you have is on of your peers, in the game, also termed host.

If there is lag, consistently it's because of erroneous netcode or matchmaking.

True, but the OP is saying that there is no such thing as lag in this game..

I envy the OP very much!!

No only is he playing crysis 2 with no lag issues, but he also has the time to come onto the forums and read theads by people who ARE having issues with it (instead of playing the game he has no issues with), AND then also have the time to make a thread about how he is sick of reading threads by people who have issue with it.

Instead of just playing the game and ignoring other people's complaint threads (if your sick of reading it how about you DON"T CLICK ON THEM) he's got all this free time to spend on here. Very lucky guy

If I had no connection problems, I wouldn't even be on this forum looking for announcements about patches /solutions etc

It is lag, pure and simple. Many times I have watched the kill cam which showed that my enemy killed me from behind and I was popping off shots at a plant, where in fact on my screen the guy was crouching in front of that plant. There is no way predicting where they will be can help in that kind of situation, which is far too common. In fact, it happens all the bloody time.

This is not the reason why al these ppl are complaining ... its the match making which is flawed!!! you cant join someone in china with someone in africa n expect them to run smoothly n that is what is happening.

THEY NEED TO CONTROL THE FREAKING MATCH MAKING or at least allow us to like in Black ops!!!

PELASE PATCH THIS!!!!

me and my friend actually did an experiment if it's lag or your so called projectile theory. we prepped up our ps3's,called each other at home and luckily got opposing teams in one game. went somewhere like we were in love in the map. took turns shooting each other, did a little experiment etc.. and concluded that it was in fact lag. we both have 12 mbps internet speed in singapore, (and no we're not indians or chinese) and 50 bullets of scar sometimes didn't kill an enemy even though he's smiling in front of you.

This is the biggest bulllcrap ever i kill people with the scar in about 15 to 30 bullets even when they have full armor and everything. You must be the worst shot EVERRRR.

And your gay

Nice way to make yourself look like an idiot. C2 uses P2P connection rather than dedicated servers - so it doesn't even matter how good your connection is, it depends on however good the person who was lucky enough to roll hosts upload speed is - usually never enough to sustain a fair lag free online enviroment with minimal host advantage.

don't compare BFBC2 on this game.. the game is much futuristic and making all guns more accurate than BFBC2 such as modern combat...

the problem is lag... making the game stupid and crappy...
but i give EA time to fix there mess. for 2month maybe i can see the difference. if not goodbye crysis 2

I have 25 mbps connection and the lag in this game is just ridiculous. Crytek dropped the ball plain and simple by not implementing dedicated servers. If you really wanted to keep the people who buy your games happy you would put out the little extra for dedicated servers. When I am almost done reloading and then see my opponent die from my first clip you can't tell me it's not lag. This really could of been the COD killer but because of the poor match making and p2p servers it's not going to have a chance.

to the OP,

as you have an understanding on how projectiles/guns work, for all us babies who dont know anything could you please explain how fast a bullet is travelling in FPS(feet per second)or using the metric system when it leaves the muzzle(on avergage) from an assault rifle and/or an smg?

Then perhaps you could tell us by how many degrees we would have to lead a target at.......lets say at 20m, 50m and 100m?

that would be greatly appreciated champ as i am unlearned in the science of projectiles.

I've got 20meg fibre optic an i get 1 bar if the host is across the atlantic an it lags so to be honest it dont matter a toss how good your broadband is if the host is in another continant .... an FYI i host about 2 out of every 10 games i play so at least it works both ways lol

That's no moon - It's a space-station!

I like the theory and will try to put it to the test, but I'm inclined to agree that this is a lag issue.

I have emptied clips into folks when implementing fresh armor with the other guy cloacked up. Guess who gets wiped out. The kill cam reveals that I was standing, finger up bum, whilst he emerges from cloak, armours up, whips me on the ass with his towel and places his shotgun in my ear.

Still. I do love this game so I'll live with it, and will have an excuse for an appalling KDR. I'm pretty sure a patch will come out to rectify some of these issues and lets not forget that this is a first stab at console gaming for CRYTEK and I think they have done well considering the unknown quantity of possible popularity.

That's funny that you mention that I'm supposed to shoot where they're going to be. I just say that because there have been numerous times where I've come up behind someone that is STANDING STILL, and I've still had to shoot them, in the back of the head, with almost an entire clip. Hell, sometimes they turn on me, and shoot me dead.

That isn't lag, or the bullet being a projectile. That is what you call poor host selection. The P2P svcks in this game, and that is what it actually boils down to.

Well I got 16Meg and its lagged.

As said . Buy a decent Internet connection, what most people don't understand is with tour 16meg download in the uk your upload is probably around 400k , upload is more important than download for p2p gaming

Agree that if the game is hosted across the atlantic the game is likely to lag buts it's certainly not unplayable , I'm presuming your fibre is with virgin , if so the upgrade from 20 meg to 30 is free , this also puts your upload speed up by 50% (3meg) if your ubr has been upgraded to achieve the new upload speeds . I plumbed for the 50 meg , which has a 5meg upload and have very few problems with this game . Unfortunately in the uk fibre is only just starting to be rolled out by bt (bt infinity) and if you don't live in a cabled area to get virgin your stuffed , adsl broadband just doesn't cut the mustard .

I also encountered this multiple times but that's because of the experience you get while playing COD. It's far to easy to kill someone while spraying an entire clip. But in reality, only the first 3 to 4 bullets make contact with the body. And that's while standing still. when your in mid-air or running it is not strange most bullets wont hit where you want them to be. Anyway if it is lag get a better connection. Mine is 5 mbps and i dont have any problem while playing the game. Just take your autoaim of in campaign and try shooting burst rounds instead of spamming bullets for no reason.

Please do it Crytek. I really want to enjoy this game but it is so annoying to put entire clips into people for them to turn around and kill you by shooting 10 feet to the left of your body.

is anyone having major hit detection/lag comp issues at all? i usually always watch the kill cams and i'd say 80-90% of the time they dont even have their sights on me at all? im really baffled? are the hit boxes like 3x the size of the character model?

i also have a ton of problems takes a minimum of 49bullets to kill someone..basically a entire magazine?
