Fix the lag please...

yeah, it's horrible. It should be embarrassing for Crytek to put out a game like this. Too bad because it's a sweet game when it works.

its frustrating to no end when you watch the kill cam when the dude you unload a entire mag into their face just to see him shoot you twice stop reload then continue to fire then you are dead....dare i say borderline unplayable?

Unbelievable. I'm actually amazed at how horrible it is. I play quite a few shooters and this game is the worst by far. I'm not a great FPS player, but I'm not horrible. Didn't think that I could get more frustrated than I do playing COD. Don't get me wrong, I love the game part of the game, but it's going to go on the shelf for good if the lag doesn't get better. I'm probably the host of games 30% of the time and I think it's even worse. I literally walked behind a guy tonight firing an entire clip into him, ran out, he finally turned around and shot me maybe 3 or 4 times and I was dead. Also shot a guy 6 times with the shotgun from about 6 feet, of course he shot me with a pistol, 2 shots, killcam showed me shooting off to the side about 10 feet. I wish I could have captured it and sent it to Crytek just to see what they would say about it. I still don't know how many shots it takes to kill a guy because it's always different. ( I know sometimes they have armor on or off) I'm talking standard...

It really is too bad too because the game is fun as hell and everything except for the lag issue is great. It blows my mind that it's this bad. It's also quite amazing that nothing has really been said about it from the developers end. Maybe they should have put a little less time into worrying about sweet shadowing and aliasing and blooming and worry more about the huge difference in connections if your going to go with p2p. It doesn't matter how hot a girl is if you can never catch up to her to grab her biscuits......

Fix it!

Well atleast homefront did talk so much **** sbout their gasme before it came out saying how good it was and how it is going to be the best ever and advertising it as much as they could for more than 2 years, making a load of unkept promises. You can expect homefront to be like that. but not this game....

So we should be happy for what we have now. I'm being patient for now. There are bugs and issues but atleast let us know your trying. Some "Re-Assurance" would be great even if its BS, it'll calm people down. And when they "do" release a patch i know not everything will be fixed but atleast the PRIORITY ISSUES should be fixed not some little bugs.

The thing about game releases is that there is no PERFECT game release but you can definitely reduce issues. The developers dont know what issues could arise when it becomes public and have 200k to 600k people playing at once. Yes, Betas may help reduce issues but when the FULL game comes out only time will tell what issues were missed when developing the game.

Yeah, the lag is horrible. I remember shooting the red gas trailer at the lighthouse in the map lighthouse when an enemy was right beside it. It did explode, but he didn't take any damage at all. He jumped over the destroyed trailer and killed me with two shots, and I was like wtf??

When I watched the killcam I saw that the trailer exploded on his screen when he already was like 16 feet away from it, WHAT THE HECK???

Hold the QQ and crying you all. I have noticed that if you are looking at the kill cams they are very innacurate so don't base anything from them.
Although I do notice some times where my hit detection says I do not hit them when I do, but I think it is my connection. Seems like the server is slightly off optimised.

In some ways it is laggy, in that you get alot of games that are 1-2 bar pings.

On the other hand a 1-2 bar ping in Crysis 2 is no where near as laggy as a 1-2 bar ping in Black Ops (for example)

What do you expect thats a 5 year old game with a buisness like activision who are notorious money grabbers. This is a company thats using their reputation of being excellent in what they do and making mnoney off that, trying to coppy other companies and get on the money train by ripping us off the people hwo buy the game. they would stil lmake allot of money, but they're just being extremely tight lik activision.

Different game, same story. Besides, i really h8 the fact that most multiplayer games are **** up at the beginning. It's like you're buying a car with no wheels, but the promised you some golden daytons on it.

Yeh but most games story modes are actually finished with no major bugs when they come out, i cant think of any major games recently that have had broken stories...... with the multiplayer it is understandable. thats why they do private beta testing on the story mode and finish it to make do so.... this is a beta still..... like you dont sell a brand new car with no miles that breaks down or doesn't run proply atall . You don't get cars like that brand new these days becuase they have been through lots of testing.... [unless they are non reputable companbies and just take the full on p!ss out of you for money]

Well, if i wanted to pay for beeing a beta tester, i would have a playstation plus membership. ;)

There are exploits in the C2 singleplayer campaign. Castlevania had a major savegame issue. That's the latest singleplayer title i can think of that was broken, until the patch.

Beta Testing was drastically shortened down throughout the last couple of years, which really is a shame.

Ive got PS plus, only £11 to get extras like the classic sonic 1 for sega mega drive for free and some other stuff i like so was worth more than the money. and i also got to download the socom beta [free] which im playing at the moment and is absalutly perfect. no lag watsoever for me 32 players big maps, better graphics than i thought. and is the finished game [i cant thing how they can improve] and this game doesn't come out for ages. now thats how to make a game. they're not money grabbing lying and deceiving and care for the customer which is why they make the game and earn their money. not to deceive and mug off their costomer with an unfished lazy made cost cutting game, then not to really care enough after its out to fix it. or keep with their community and give infomation. I am pissed of at them and rightly so

first off i love this game secondly the multiplayer has gotten terrible definitely unplayable due to lag. please stop comparing it to the socom beta not only is that game bad(i laugh thatd youd even play the 32, you would get raked over the coals on the socom forums with these statements) the maps are so much smaller than crysis its ridiculous and its a beta! i mean seriously i will throw down a lag guarantee on socom when it comes out. as much as i love this game now it was much more under the radar compared to homefront. none of my buddies had plans to buy the game until they saw me playing it on day 1 and love it now. i cant play a game with any of them without horrid lag. i think its has had more people on it than expected i could never find people on the beta now games are always full. i truly believe we will see a patch within the next week until then ill play the sp or something else.

The lag is ridiculous. It makes what could be a great game an exercise in futility. There is very little skill involved and usually comes down to who gets the lucky spray and pray head shot and has a better connection.

One of the tips during a loading screen told me to "anolyse the the killcam" or something like that. I have. I've studied them to try and become a better player. I've learned that 2 bullets to the foot are more effective than a clip to the chest.

PRO TIPS:
1. Do not actually aim at the enemy! This never works and will only frustrate you. You are just going to get pissed off when he shoots at a tree and gets a head shot on you. Get a high rate of fire gun with low accuracy and spray AROUND your enemy! BOOM! Head shot.
2. Check the score board to see who is host. He'll be the only person with 4 green bars. If he is on your team you will win, but avoid him at all cost if he's not. He is invincible and is actually playing a different game than you that is running 4 seconds in the future. I'm not sure if this is a module you can unlock later or what.

The thing that I don't understand is that there hasn't been any acknowledgement at all from the developers. As the Brits say, Rubbish.
