Your Hd's hurt your rating a lot.

That is the highest rating a HDD can recieve. The only way to raise it is to move to SSD's, but the price/performance has not hit the sweet spot for me yet. ;)

My WD Scorpio Black scores 5.9 also and thats a 2,5" Notebook harddrive.
Same score with my Samsung F1 1TB in my SLI rig.
Both these drives are a lot faster (nearly 2x) than your Hitachi P7K500 500GB
So it makes me wonder what a WD VelociRaptor 600GB would score, should be more, but i would not be suprised if Microsoft did not raise the Max rating for HDD from 5.9 to 7.9 or limited the score for "normal" HDD to 5.9 or something.

If Jmmm7519 would have said "your Hd's hurt your performance a lot" he would have been right.

My Advice: Buy a better/faster HDD, rest of your system is really fast, and you will really notice the difrence if you get a Samsung F1 or F3 500GB or 1TB instead.

My drive is already 7200RPM, I take care of my disk and defrag/clean it very often and have no issues with it. I have looked at other hard drives on the market and I do not see 10,000RPM as a viable increase if I were to go that route. The only real way for me to get a good data disk upgrade is if I go the SSD route.

Core i7 950 3.06Ghz
2 5850's CrossfireX
6GB DDR3 1600 Triple Channel RAM
ASuS Sabertooth x58 mobo

And my monitor is only 1680×1050, but I plan to completely max Crysis 2. And if I can't, I'll eat a cat.
