My PC feels so lame and old (it's freaking old) in comparison to the rigs here.

AMD Athlon x4 635 @ 2.9ghz,
XFX Geforce 8300 Motherboard,
6gb Transcend Axe DDR2 800Mhz RAM,
500gb Sata II HDD,
XFX Geforce 9600 GT 512mb,
Raidmax Volcano 530Watt PSU,

Running game at 1920x1080, High, DX9, getting solid 40fps, sometime more, sometimes dips a bit depending what is happening, Multi-player runs faster than single player.

on my rig i did not overclock the cpu. i know most of these guys on here overclock there cpus and think it gives them the edge but i know it does not. like one guy on here says he as a 5GHZ that is a overlock to 5GHZ none of the intel processers defualt to 5GHZ. there is another one on here that says 4ghz he is using the extreme edition of the I7 or I9. which unless you have alot a fans in that computer intel does not recommend overclocking. nor does AMD. it can fry the board!!. i play at default settings. so no overclocking. i want to keep my computer not destroy it.

but other then that heres some more stuff for my pc specs.
WDC 1tb drive SATA 3gb/s
default Hp DVD-RW/cd-RW drive 3gb/s
microsoft natrual keyboard elite
logitech trackball thumb mouse.

also the upgrades and doing for my pc. are the ram to 16gb.
and video card to ati fireGL pro v7800 with 2 GDDR5 ram. so i dont have to upgrade the power supply. and yes this can be use as a gaming card. its called the high-end card. and beats the radeon cards 2 to one. (coming soon to my computer)

Umm...overclocking the CPU is important for when you are running SLI or CrossFireX so that you don't bottle neck the GPUs. I run my i7 930 at 4.4GHz and I actually just bought a third 5850 to do Tri-CrossFireX. Overclocking does not damage the motherboard. It cold damage the CPU and shorten it's life span. Overclocking is safe as long as you keep it cool and not try to overdo the voltages and clocks. By the way, what is an i9? No such thing buddy.

As far as using a FireGL Pro video card you are wrong. They are not good for gaming at all. They are designed for 3D rendering and are not designed for running games. This is the reason why you have a workstation GPU (FireGL Pro) and a gaming GPU (Radeon) family of graphics cards. And it's the same about a Radeon card being used for 3D rendering. A 6990 would svck ass compared to a FireGL Pro 7800 for 3D rendering. But a FireGL Pro 7800 would svck ass for gaming.

while i already have it for ps3 i do intend to get it for pc and give the ps3 version to my little step brother since he has fallen in love with the game. just as a disclaimer i DO intend on building a new rig from the ground up and only taking the hard drive out of the current system but i was wondering if this current rig would be able to run crysis 2 well enough to perhaps sell the rest off to another budget gamer...

AMD Athlon II x2 cpu running @ 2.7 ghz

6 gb DDR2

XFX Radeon HD 4770 512 mb GDDR5

seagate 750 gb HDD running at 7200rpm

the motherboard for the system is generic and since i'm on the road i don't remember the power supply other than it's a 450 watt. there is no second slot for crossfire so this is probably the lowest budget rig on the site, lol

Sick of the first crysis and crysis 2 is a dud until dx11. Building a new rig in the summer for nvidia 3d vision crysis. Probably 590s and a 990x unless better hardware is out by the time the bf3 beta rolls around
