Future DLC Suggestions (Not Dawnguard) - Thread #6

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 2:15 am

Has it already been confirmed that it will be named Hearthfire? And why chickenkungfu, is it about magic? Perhaps it'll be about the month Hearth fire. Still hoping for Artaeum though.
I believe it's more of a rumour; Zenimax trademarked the name but refuses to comment on it. There is an article which suggests that it'll come out in September (our equivalent of the month of Hearthfire) and it may be about conjuration. If that is the name, am I allowed to speculate that this probably won't be a SI sized expansion? Mind you, Bloodmoon wouldn't be obvious from the name.

Hello everyone first time I post in this forums! I've read alot of good idea since the last five days. I , personaly, would want to go further on thalmor and the Aldmeri Dominions and rip their existence out of Nirn  with claws! Surely I could write the main line of the quest and some side quest. Probably write it after my surgery since i wouldn't be able to walk for a couple of days.

Dwemer, their story are pretty deep and a great lore of TES. The mystery that overhelm their past is incredibly fascinating. Maybe bethesda could dig up a bit to their root and origins. Finding the first state-city they have ever built and add it in the mountain at the south. In the way i see it, could be the most huge, well preserved and functiunal city left. Adding the ability to build your own animunculis follower could be nice as well the mighty spear. You'll need to find blueprint of your animunculis as it never be seen anywhere on Tamriel. The first android prototype who can carry more stuff than a human one, having more health but can't be given a weapon because of his integrated weapon with lower damage (his weapon could be a sword and a crossbow?)

Left some hole just for you guys ! Add some stuff and keep lorewise as most as possible and be kind :)I don't remember if their anything about the origins of the dwemer.
Methinks that sounds pretty fun.

Welcome to the forums. Here's a http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg!

I think it would be cool if we went back in time (with an elder scroll) to the great war and fight in it or to prevent the disappearance of the Dwemer . Also allow players to increase there skill levels past 100... its boring when you cant level up. I think that would be really cool. But since skyrim is all about the nords, Solsthiem would be a great place to go too

Thank for the fishystick! Left the doubt about the mysterious Dwemer extinction in the dark. We for the most , like to speculate and make theory about that. As I say digging further in their past would left a alot of freedom to the dev.

The most redundant subject and feature see in this forums is the following one:
1:Speaaarrrr!!!!!
2:werebeing
3:Verbose worthy idea
4:Eye of Magnus and psiijyc order questline with more spell.
5:Thalmor and the Aldmeri Dominion questline.
6:Dwemer artifact and questline about them.
7:Orsinium or Solstheim add on,equivalent of the Shivering Isle in Oblivion.

This list is not in order of the most desired add on to the game.

I'm hoping that each DLC will be adding a bit related to the Falmer, to eventually set them up for a return in TES VI. I've loved their lore since I first read about them back in Bloodmoon, and Bethesda revealing that they still exist makes me hope that I can eventually play as one.

Look, I think we are all going a bit off-focus with dlc ideas. I agree that spears and werebears would be awesome, but skyrim is all about dragons. I think that a cool dlc would show us broomjunaar, and allow us to go back in time to when the dragon cult was still going strong, and side with the dragon cult or the ancient nords to help or hinder the dragons. I like the ideas of the dwemer, but time travel would open the possibility of an entire quest line devoted to them. I apologize for the scarce ideas, but it's 1 am, and I am not really thinking straight.

In order for this to be accepted, however, I think it would need to have a really good reason to spend an entire DLC in Oblivion. Shivering Isles has already been done. Wouldn't want to beat a dead horse.

A tad off topic.. but speaking of Oblivion..

I would LOVE to see a TES game where you choose a Daedra and begin questing in a plane of Oblivion.. gaining levels, perks, gear, etc.. moving then to Tamriel on the whims of your prince. An anti-hero for some reason. Perhaps an agent of Azura or something?

What do you all think?
Interesting ideas, and since dawnguard was a Knights of the Nine sort of thing, the next dlc should have the power of the shivering isles.

Dawnguard was a decently big DLC so my guess is the next one would be smaller in size. If they have a Shivering Isles type DLC in terms of size and content they will probably save it for one of the last DLCs like they did with Oblivion.

I wouldn't mind more stuff about the dragon cult because at least that is somewhat interesting. But time-traveling back? Not keen on that idea.

Yeah I don't get why they want to bring the Dwemer back. We had enough about them in Morrowind.

I am hoping the next DLC will take place on the isle of Artaeum, and will involve the Dovahkiin becoming a member of the Psijic Order (and thus also allow the console players to get their hands on the Psijic Robes set). And seeing as how Bethesda already added in two transformation type classes I'd like to see a feature where you can become a Lich (always wanted to be one in Oblivion) which might complement the Psijic Order story line, perhaps an opposing group of mages, where their senior members are Liches, and you become one when you get further into the story line...

i think it would be kwl to collect heads of those that we slay  i wanna decorate my abode with the slain!

also what would be kwl is epic seige battles from forts, also npcs that can 1 hit ko style (depending on where they're stabbed or shot with arrows) each other + 100-200 vs 100-200 npc battles that you could command if you gain sufficient ranking within the faction you choose.

more than anything i want my own colony like in the good blood moon expansion days of morrowind i found it awsome building a colony in the middle of nowhere lol,

Sum up SI? Well I could try : Ropes were tied. Cheese was to die for. You fight You or maybe not. TO THE DEATH! Or to a stalemate, or maybe supper , hard to tell. You become You, that means him who is you but booorrrriiing , stop praying to yourself , that is crazy.

SPOILER way : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_IV:_Shivering_Isles#Plot

I believe we should visit another Plane of Oblivion. But this time, it would be far greater than Sheogorath's Madhouse. Instead, we should visit Coldharbour, the realm of Molag Bal:

Molag Bal. His realm in Oblivion is Coldharbour, it is a copy of Nirn, but in ruins and destruction. The ground is sludge, the sky is on fire, and the air is freezing. It is by far one of the most cruelest realms of any Daedric Prince. Any mortal found their is put in the slave pen or charnel house. All in all, the place is perfect for a DLC to take place in. Imagine the storyline, imagine all of the new things. All of the Daedroth to fight. And perhaps be able to summon one once you complete the DLC and bring it back to Skyrim. It is a beautiful sight, a sight, of domination.

Imagine how phenomenal this DLC would be!

As for DLC ideas:

1. For the love all that is holy. Can we have some better Lore background on what we are actually doing? Seriously. What we know about the dragon priests? Nothing. About the Dragon war - Nothing. Write some [censored] in-game books concerning the main questilne, ok?
2. Heavy Armor - and by heavy I mean heavy as possible, but not too alien looking. For example: Ebony - Superb Design. Heavy Falmer/Daedric - Awesome, but weird.

3. Magic oriented. I really do not care for new ways to transform myself to an animal/human hybrid. Just give me new ways and mechanics to decimate bandits.

4. Practicall Mounted Combat .Mount and Blade style.

Please, no more Oblivion realms!

Why not? They are and have been just as important a part of the Elder Scrolls as any province of Tamriel.

I've mentioned that in other DLC suggestion threads. I'd also love to have Roscrea as the "big" expansion.
