Game is Horrible

Open SkyrimPrefs.ini in your "Users" folder, and change bMouseAcceleration=1 to bMouseAcceleration=0. You now have no more mouse lag. While you're at it open Skyrim.ini, and at the bottom of the [Display] section, add iPresentInterval=0. That'll turn Vsync off which helps tremendously with the framerate. I can verify both settings.

nvm.

Not true at all. After modifying them today at lunch, I unlocked two achievements afterwards.

Thank you so much!

I'm seriously starting to think that all these trolls are ppl from other game companies who are butt hurt lol ...
Eitherway, OP joined today and talk's [censored] about things he didnt even bother to look into.. f.ex the FoV.
Is the UI cluncky & buggy, yes.
Is the game flawless and perfect like some revieuwers think it is by giving it a 10/10, no but a game like that simply doesnt exists...
But to go ape [censored] on the forums for that..well brings me back to what i said first... conspiracy theory.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1Y73sPHKxw

Your job is to make games, and make them as good as you can. ELSE ITS NOT WORTH IT.
I agree with this

Ok let's run through this:

mouse lag: was solved for me with one little adjustments in the game options menu (have the german version at the moment, so im not sure what it is called in english). No ini change nescersarry on my side.

black and white: Yeah in the middle of the snow storm everything was white! No wonder ;) snow is white. As soon as I got down very vibrant colors again because the lovely sun was shining.

field of fiew: Not sure yet if I like the standard ini setting. At the moment I leave it. But you can change it easily.

menus: I begin to adjust. Still I think FO3 or NV was easier to navigate. Never liked the Oblivion menu. It's no catastrophic but a lot to adjust.

fighting: No troubles at all. It works like in all Bethesda games. Maybe your mouse troubles are the problem.

Summing it up: I can't see anything which would justify "the game is horrible" in your title. I have a lot of fun playing it right now.

Fighting? Its awful. Due to the unresponsive mouse and the god awful hit detection and swing times for weapons you may aswell be flailing around trying to tickle them to death with a 3ft feather. Tell me Bethesda, how long does it take to swing a sword? Does it take upwards of two seconds?? NO, IT DOESNT. IT TAKES A FRACTION OF A SECOND. WHY IS THE COMBAT IN SLOWMO??

Fighting is just like oblivion but improved

I'm really enjoying the game when it doesn't crash i think the story and rpg side is better though and thats what i'm playing for

yes the menus and the whole interface and keymapping system on the PC is terrible, however if you want to change your FOV just bring down console and type FOV 75 or 90 or whatever you want it at. The list of things I love about this game far outweighs the annoyances. , in fact the most disatisying this about the game so far has been the outlandish and angsty rage posts from people like yourself.

edit - also, all menus work with my mouse, I can click when I want, where I want, who I want. Little sluggish at times, but im playing on high with a five year old pc.
You know what's weird?

I hate using the mouse in menus. Often it's faster to use WASD and enter.

Having said that, that's just me.

Apparently anybody who doesn't share your opinion is a brainwashed sheeple. That's a fantastic way of thinking about others. You should start a cult, or something. I can imagine you being the head guru. Mr. Wise Guy. I'm sure people from all of the world will flock to your teachings.

" on these consoles that shouldve died years ago." Yes, because gaming should only be something for the rich that can afford to buy whatever it takes to run high end games. It's stuff like this that makes me hate PC gaming mister high and mighty.

@OP
That's just like, your opinion, man.

what's wrong with the comment that you facepalmed?

I wouldn't buy a PC designed game for console, why would you buy a console designed game for PC and expect it to be the same?

Not all systems are made equally, nor should they be.

I was disappointed when I bought Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic for the PC and it didn't run as fluidly. But I also realized that I bought a game that was designed for the X-Box and got it for a system it wasnt really designed for.

The PC gaming market isn't some market that's entitled to be treated better than console. Games are designed for certain systems, and if you're going to get it for a system it wasnt focused on, you need to accept it won't play as well.

I accept that console gives me lesser graphics and performance than PC. Why can't PC gamers accept when a game isn't focused on their system?

Any time you can hit enter to accept, you can also hit E. That way I never have to take my left hand off the WASD area.

All of the OP's complaints are true. But the game is still really awesome. But I do wish it wasn't so consolized. It literally looks like developers are breaking their games on purpose nowadays.

This forum:

"I think this is the greatest game ever created and does not have a single flaw and cured my diabetes!"

"Awesome you are an true FAn!!1!"

"I have issues with the game that are shared and echoed by a large number of people around the web"

"GTFO troll LMAO!"

Too bad that's not how OP expressed their opinion.

Clarification - with every single game? That e=enter? Not just TES?

So say, this would work with any game I could think of?

Thanks! That's a bit weird though. In some keyboards the "enter" key is the "return" key...
