The final hours of waiting is the best and worst time. You know you're almost there but time starts to go by very slowly.

I believe we have free HBO for the weekend. So I'm going to try to watch it as it airs.

With my mom.

Who's never seen an episode.

Boy, this'll be awkward.

I'll be interested to see people's reactions. I don't have HBO so I guess I'll just have to wait to see it. I don't really feel bad about missing it, since I've read the books and know what happens.

Season 1 has plenty of unnecessary and awkward six scenes. I'm glad I watched it alone. Good luck watching it with your mom.

The one with Littlefinger in....Episode 8 or 9 was the worst. Especially since my family was in the room and they'd never seen the show. First impressions.....

Yeah, I don't remember that ever happening in the book. It was a somewhat painful scene to watch.

I like to imagine them walking in right when Littlefinger says "Play with her [censored]" Haha

It never was, just an HBO moment really. But the scene serves no purpose at all, enhances the plot in no way.

No, they were on the computer, but all the moaning, my sister was like 'Sounds like you're watching a pormo.'.

Just finished the last book available to me. How is it I could read through 4 and a half book in what free time I had over about 3 months and then have it take a whole another year to finish off the last few chapters of the last book. I really hate reaching the end of what's available to me, never had it as bad with any series as this one though, every page turned a page lost, thinning out what little I had to read as if the series was wine and I was sipping a teaspoon a week to make it last longer. Only today with only 150 or so pages left I buckled and just read the rest.

Can't wait for the next book and this horrible wait is precisely the cause for my bad habit of dragging out good books.

Think I'll finish watching the show now, only seen a bit of it and while it's probably as good as a show like that is ever going to get it's still way inferior to the books. Though as much as I lash out at TV shows and movies made from books I always enjoy seeing the creatures.

That how I feel with almost every book I read and game I play. I take things as slow as possible, knowing that it will end. Its actually pretty saddening in a way.

Actually that was the moment I knew LF was going to betray Ned as he is basically telling the viewers that he has his own motives.

And I could slap Sansa for not going with The Hound when he offered her a escape.

Agreed. I cleaned all morning, then I had to leave the house!

I went for a walk around the breakwater with my friend and her daughter to kill some time. It was better than sitting here clock watching all day driving myself insane in the process.

Ugh, couldn't finish GoT for this free weekend, only got to episode 3 of Season 2 during the Watchathon week, as I haven't been home much until Friday. Does anyone know if I have to get HBO for like 6 months, because that seems like too much, as this new season will end in like 2 months.

I knew where it was going from the start. The way he spoke, the way he moved, and his facial expressions pretty much said he was a backstabbing bastard.

I know the feeling, I wish I could do the same with life, but unfortunately the pages turn without ones consent. :(

Oh I knew that as well, I just didnt know who he was going to betray until that point. I havnt read the books but I get the feeling he's going to try to take Sansa for himself.

Also dealing with the new episode that just aired
Spoiler
What was that scorpion thing in the ball that tryied to attack Dany and what the hell was that demon child that flicked it's tongue at her that rolled the ball to her?

So a good episode. Lot of plotlines and they didn't even cover a few people. Really enjoyed it though.

Spoiler
That assassination attempt went sort of like it did in the book. Basically the book says a person from "The Sorrowful Men" gave Daenerys a manticore, and when she opened it, a creature stepped out of it. Arstan Whitebeard (Selmy's fake name) killed the creature, and a couple of her Dothraki apprehended the assassin.

How did it start? I know some parts of SoS were featured at the end of season 2. So it must've started off a bit differently.

Off to a good start. In comparison to the debut of the last season, it starts off stronger, but ends weaker.

A warlock of Quarth. They are pretty angry at Dany for burning their leader and wreaking havoc in Quarth.

And the scorpion-thing was a manticore, some sort of poisonous creature.
