I am rather amused at the PC people who wish the game was on the PC. :)

Why?
Well as many know there are those PC elitists (definitely not saying all PC gamers so no one better be getting angry) and knowing some PC gamers want the game on PC which makes me feel that some console game did right. Even though it was going to be a PC strategy game at first, but it broke away from that.

Edit: I was also disturbed when you replied within seconds.

Well the first Halo did make it's way onto the PC and the second also. So why not have the 3rd or 4th? It doesn't make much sense.

Because the interest for those games ran their course and the profit was small due to that.

I want it on PC because I used to play on console and the Halo series was pretty much the only game I played online. But when the first Call of Duty Modern Warfare showed up, I found a demo for it on PC and it was the first game I purchased on PC. I played on the 360 until my gold subscription expired, then I turned to PC gaming and never looked back. But I still miss playing Halo, just not enough to renew a gold subscription, but the moment they put it on PC, I will definitely play it again.

I don't understand why people want the Halo series gone so badly, it's generally for two reasons, they're a fan boy who wants it to stop existing because they don't like it and can't stand that people like what they don't, or they think that the longer the series goes on the worse it gets, which is usually a result of being clingy to nostalgia, but wishing game dead because you don't like it anymore is just stupid, don't buy it. As for those thinking Halo is killing single player, it's not, multi-player is becoming bigger as online gets bigger, it's not as a result of any game, it's the result of the video game scene evolving and changing, if you don't like it don't buy the games victim to it, who knows, maybe someday single-player will catch on again, until then don't try to put the blame on any single game or genre. One last thing, if the only reason you want Halo gone is because there are a large number of kiddies on it, you're an idiot, every game in the mainstream has kids playing it, Halo is online and as such it's noticeable, there are thousands of kids playing Fallout, Skyrim, and CoD right now too, how does that make you feel?

I've used a keyboard before playing the Halo PC at my cousins house, it was bad to say the least.

Of course someone who isn't used to using a mouse to aim is going to have trouble with it, but it is objectively more accurate than a thumbstick. There's just a higher skill ceiling in every PC FPS than console because of this.

You could say the same stuff almost for consoles.

That last sentence needs some explaining. I've seen many people who can aim just as good with a mouse on a controller, but then the average controller user's skill would be lower than that of a PC user. So the skill ceiling is probally a tad bit shorter for console users, but for the average coblnsole user it is much higher than the average PC user. If that makes sense.

It doesn't make any sense. You're basically saying that because the average console user is terrible at aiming, there's more room for them to get better. The point is that a mouse is many, many times more accurate than a thumbstick for aiming, so any PC FPS will have much better players, and much higher level competition. I really don't see what anything you said has to do with that.

After revealing the first details and gameplay footage of Halo 4 earlier this week, 343i have taken the most popular questions from their Halo Waypoint forums and provided some answers. Some.

Most of their answers were either vague or the standard "we aren’t ready to reveal that yet", but they did provide a few new details for us to chew on for a bit.

They confirmed that there will NOT be a beta for Halo 4, stating "While we are testing Halo 4 code, gameplay, and systems at significant scale to get excellent data, input, and feedback, we are focused on polishing and shipping our experience for the duration of the year, and splitting resources to manage and build a beta is not on our schedule". Well that svcks.

Slayer games will not be scored 0-50 like previous Halo games, but they did not reveal what the scoring will be.

The covenant will be in the game, but will not be the main enemy. "Yes. The Covenant will definitely return, albeit in a completely (graphically, politically and sonically) overhauled form, but they may be the least of your problems."

(Picture of large mech here named the Cyclops II)

The mech pictured in the screenshot above in the multiplayer map Warhouse is called the Cyclops 2 and will not be playable, but they did confirm there will be some new vehicles, and at least one is much larger than the Cyclops 2.

Assassinations are back, but have been altered. No other details provided.

When asked about any Halo 3 multiplayer map remakes, they stated that the majority of the multiplayer maps are new, but did not rule out any remakes from any previous Halo game. I’d like to see Guardian or The Pit make the cut.

And of course we need our required Blood Gulch remake

(and here's hoping for a remake of Wizard and Chiron TL-34 from Halo CE)

I don't play Halo games for the multiplayer aspects (in fact I hardly play multiplayer in any games), so I really hope the single player story is more fleshed-out like 343 have suggested.

That said, I am pretty excited to see what they come up with for Halo 4. I'll probably wait for the reviews to come in before purchasing it, though.

Well this is the closest thing we have to a Halo discussion thread so I'm posting this here. I played in a tournament with a few friends today hosted by Rooster Teeth and my team finished in the top 4 teams. Here was thehttp://roosterteeth.com/tournaments/event.php?id=384, my team was Dots and Loops. It was a lot of fun. We played a few of the members from Achievement Hunters and we beat them.

Can I still play as an Elite in Halo 4? I was never in the loop and I'm afraid to get lost trying to find any hint of evidence. :P

They don't allow PC/Console cross play because the PC players soundly defeat console players all the time. It comes down to basic math. A console joy stick moves back and forth. There's a slight lag time in how fast you can move. Not to mention that unlike a mouse you can't stop on a dime. It's just math. It doesn't matter what you say, the laws of physics say no. Doesn't mean all console players would svck, just that there's a bias in the system against them. I mean a good console player will still beat a terrible pc player. Just that technology wise the edge for pure performance does go to the PC. Though when I did play consoles I found they had a much smoother ability to turn. This was/is in an old article about why they didn't make more crossplay games for xbox/windows.

I've always enjoyed Halo when I could play it, not often since I'm a PC gamer. Just the setting and music is fantastic. Style and substance is something no console/pc developer can ever claim to have a monopoly on.

The main reason that Halo was taken off PC had nothing to to do with anything other than the fact that they came out with xbox, it was announced that that was the reason that it was taken off pc and would only be made for xbox as xbox's flagship game, the original Halo was owned by microsoft studios, and wow microsoft make the xbox, it was released by microsoft that after number 2 which was vista only, that after vista went fizzle, they went to xbox and would stick with xbox.

The only reason i like halo is they have stuck to the storyline, and built it also as they go along, they dont make it out to be more than it is, it does what it does nothing else. The stasis chamber ending isnt just the legendary ending, the only difference with the legendary ending is what you see right at the end, the other endings he climbs into the stasis chamber and cortana says they have to put on a beacon and wait till they drift into controlled space till they can be picked up, its only the legendary ending you see them drifting after that scene, that you see what you see. But there would be no way they could be near any UNSC base they are off the edge of the galactic rim, they are so far off UNSC controlled space, they would be lucky that spartan armour wouldnt be a relic by the time they got retreived, if they ever were, that was the point of the ending, he never died but he may as well, same as spirit of fire, they had little chance of finding there way back without jump engines.

The game was originally supposed to be on PC as a strategy game, then a third person shooter on the PC, the Microsoft hired bungle and it became what it is.

Yes. Halo is better than Call of Duty for sure.

Halo's online community is very friendly and I rarely see a jerk or idiot that I truly hate while playing online. And some of the best Multiplayer moments I ever had was from Halo. God.. I can go on listing so many of these moments....

CoD.. No. CoD has way too many kids complaining and thinking they are all that. Very annoying and I rarely get any good moment... Only good moment I had in CoD is me using the rocket launcher. I played CoD with one of my teachers in past and here is one his quotes. "It's like I am walking down a hall way then I turn to the right and first thing I see is a rocket in my face." In other words, I'm so fast with the trigger, you will be dead before you notice it was me XD. That was my only good moment in CoD basicly..

Now, I've seen people in here saying Halo should die. etc. Can I ask why you don't like? I respect your opinion but I am little curious.

I bought Halo Anniversary and yet to beat it. I'm on the Truth and Reconciliation mission.

I love how they didn't focus on the multiplayer as much. And left the storyline intact.
