Hardest enemy you have encountered so far?

Personally, I think any one of the Dragon Priests are the toughest fights. They all have powerful magicka, are pretty fast moving, and have decently high health pools.

Well I had to turn down the difficulty 3 times as a mage.

One Dwemer construct who just wouldn't die. The last boss in the Labyrintium because he's just not fun to have around as a mage when you have 1 measly magicka potion on you. And then there was a Draugr boss in a ruin who would 1 shot me with a bow and there was no way I could keep avoiding all the hits before he died.

I don't understand why everyone things the frost trolls are hard. I've been paying the default difficulty and have been wiping out frost trolls? I'm playing jonathan28's heavy armor sword and spell spec, level 24 after about 12 hours of playing. Trolls were pretty easy at level 8ish with firebolt + enchanted elven sword. I dunno, am I playing on a too easy difficulty?

Generally the harder enemies are heavy armored two handers that mob you, spell casters with lots of mana (especially the one necromancers from the azura stars quest).

But by far the hardest for me was the charaus reaper. I had to cheese this with bad pathfinding. They're so fast and kill you in 1-2 kills.

Giants are very easy to kill. Killed my 1st 2 at level 5 outside Whiterun. They have incredibly stupid AI.

By far the hardest fight for me so far was against a spell caster that spammed fireballs continuously.

Definitely that dragon lord at the end of the College of Winterhold quests. That guy took me forever. Luckily his AI was bad so he never chased after me in certain places, but he was powerful and absorbed magic like crazy. Really want his lightning attack.

Top five:

1. Conjuration Mage boss- special robes with

25% conjuration spell cost reduction
10% spell cost reduction
+50 magicka
100% magicka regeneration

Some cave can't remember where. He was a Breton and at least 10 levels higher than me. Was lucky to survive

2. Giant- nothing special
3. Random dragon- some dragon bone and dragon soul
4. Frost troll- can't remember
5. Mammoth.

I felt the same way with the dragon lord at the end of the Labyrinthium. It took me forever till I realized i hadn't used my highborn power as a high elf. After I used it, I felt like a God. I just went after him like crazy with lightning in one hand and a healing spell in the other. It felt like I was omnipotent. Definitely my most satisfying battle so far.

Came across a named Dragon Priest on a mountain top, couldn't withstands his attacks, couldn't kill him, so just outmaneuvered him and stole his treasures :hehe:

Mages are the common enemy i have most trouble with, but Whirlwind Sprint followed by claymore to the skull usually solves that issue. Or Ligthning Rune and the lure Shout.

Hardest enemy I encountered so far was a giant.I was going toward a quest and found a huge giant pit kinda like where a giant was waiting. He scared me once and when I passed by him to be on my way he started chasing me .Heck , if I wasn't a heavily stamina assassin I would have been dead for sure.Last time I attacked a giant he made me fly with his mace(and killed me in a hit)

Dwarven Centurion Guardian.
Nothing I hit it with did anything, good thing I had an awesome staff from a dragon priest, had to nearly drain the thing to kill it though.

Going to join the voices saying Hagravens. Particularly if they have a few Forsworn with them to either distract me or stab me in the back while I keep an eye on her.

Any mage/necro who kites me with frost spells is really tough too.

Giant AI is indeed pretty dumb, which I like. Big dumb guys. I just find a big tree, stealth, arrow in the back, then when they charge run around (keeping tree between me and them) until they leave. Rinse, repeat. It takes a bit of time and if they spot me as we spiral around the tree, I am toast. But really fun taking out a guy who can easily one-hit kill me.

I'm going to expand my original nomination of Krosis, and just go ahead and say that all the Dragon Priests are [censored] hard to beat on some levels. Oh, don't get me wrong, like Krosis once you figure out their patterns they can become a tedious cakewalk - but if you don't know said patterns they can easily kill you long before you can come up with a proper strategy.

Dwarven Centurion Guardians are really tough, especially when tey're accompanied by multiple spheres... That was most likely the toughest fight i had.

Oh, and just now i had 3 Frost Trolls attacking me at the same time.

What has been the hardest enemy to beat so far for you? Where did you encounter it? Was there something special you did to win? (skill level?)

Mine`s definitely a Frost Troll (or ice troll don`t remember which one was it) on the mountain path up to the Throat of the World. The only dragon I have fought against so far (with all those soldiers helping me..) feels like a walk in the park compared to this guy. :toughninja: Been playing with expert since the beginning.

Frost troll on my way up the Throat of the World too, kill me 3 times and in the end I had to run past it while slowing it down with the weak force shout.
