Those Chaurus things are bloody lethal!

Trolls in general, and I think I know why they're called trolls...*regenerates health faster than you can and can kill you in a few hits* TROLOLOLOLOLOL

hahahaha

Hardest so far was a unique dragon priest guarding a word wall called Cirius or something, I'd just killed a dragon and went to claim the word and he pops out of his coffin and starts summoning atronach's and fireballs. He was really quick as well so i couldnt melee him.

Dropped THE COOLEST mask though - valued at about 3000 and gives 20% to archery, sneak and alchemy

EDIT:
Some named Dragon Priest near a word wall in the middle of nowhere.

Damn he was unbeatable, until I saved my game, TGMd and Fus Ro Dahd him off a cliff.
The shout from that wall is a bloody sweet reward though.
Spoiler
It's a "Voice Throwing" shout, it distracts your enemy to where you are aiming with an insult such as "Hey Skeever butt!"

After that Frost Trolls no doubt. Ran into 3 at the same time when scouting Labirinthian, jesus christ.

Yep that was the Cirius dude i was talking about - grab his mask?

Definately a frost troll. Took me a few tries to get past it. You have to play hit and run :D first I used my full magicka (100) with frostbite on him. Then I did the fire breath shout. And then just keep hitting him when he is dazed, "when he get's back to the world", just wait for him to smash and try to evade it by running away but with him in your view. And then you can rush in and hit him maybe once, maybe twice or more. Level 12 when I tried it with a steel sword (19 dmg) and an iron shield (24 block I think). It was a hard fight, had to do it multiple times till I found a hard way to kill it.

Not forget to mention, sometimes it does hit you, then I used my healing spell :)

Honestly now that I can dual-cast firebolt trolls are nothing... they can't even get close to me before they're dead. Only lvl 12 right now, so maybe's I'll find something tougher, but in general I feel like my pure mage is a bit over-powered.

Dual-casting spells are just so powerful, especially when you have the perk to stagger with them. Just smash an enemy over and over again and they won't be able to lift a finger before you've killed them.

I fought this today too. I led him down to a Giants' camp and he killed 2 giants without taking any damage. It took about 5 mins for me to finally kill him but his staff was worth it and his mask is pretty cool.

That Frost Troll at the Throat of the World nearly killed me with two blows :spotted owl: That said, nothing so far is as powerful as a Giant, one hit kills are always impressive :P

The troll was hard but I managed to kill it without dying thanks to my lovely Histskin ^^

But the Dragon Cultists (Im level 11) have such powerful frost spells its ridiculous and there are so many of them. I have to just chug all my heal potions to progress to the next room.

Kvenel the Tongue

During the Dark Brotherhood Quest where you have to speak with
Spoiler
Amaund Motierre
if you complete the quest that pops up in that tomb to
Spoiler
unlock a ceremonial Crypt
you end up discovering this badboy lurking through that doorway. I tried 3-4 times, and nearly beat him when he got stuck on an invisible rock, but then somehow he broke free which rather left me dead in one hit.

So I've run away and left him until I'm a higher level!

What has been the hardest enemy to beat so far for you? Where did you encounter it? Was there something special you did to win? (skill level?)

Mine`s definitely a Frost Troll (or ice troll don`t remember which one was it) on the mountain path up to the Throat of the World. The only dragon I have fought against so far (with all those soldiers helping me..) feels like a walk in the park compared to this guy. :toughninja: Been playing with expert since the beginning.

I ran across that SOB and died 4 times until I finally decided to just run like crazy. :bolt:

For me its the Dragon Priests. They have shock magic && that's what my character is based on. So it get's alittle difficult. The Frost Trolls are easy for me? && haven't tried my hand at a Giant yet, but with MQ done gonna start on a killing frenzy;) :tes:

hardest that I won-- hired thugs
hardest that I gave up on and did not go back-- spriggan matron

I find using a bow and sneak battles run into three types:

1) sneak....dead enemies.
2) sneak...hurt enemies...o crap run back run back, spam arrows at them......dead enemy.
3) sneak.....hurt enemies....o crap...then I am dead.

some times I can turn a 3 into a 2.

a big problem is when enemies are focused on my companion and I am trying to aim arrows at them. aiming at people coming at you...easy. aiming at two mad dancers, one of whom you don't want to hit..not so easy.

Giants are very easy to kill. Killed my 1st 2 at level 5 outside Whiterun. They have incredibly stupid AI.

By far the hardest fight for me so far was against a spell caster that spammed fireballs continuously.

Everything has stupid AI. All melee enemies can be kited forever and dodging ranged attacks is even easier than that. Can't help but laugh at the people saying you couldn't backpedal in Skyrim.

I've encountered two named Dragon Priests so far and both of them had insane amounts of health, much more than a Dragon does.. But they ended up being easy because eventually their AI just packs in and they just stand there letting you hit them.

Obviously not sneak-attacking with archery. I've killed multiple trolls so far with ease using that style. I might've found the trolls hard, but they've never reached me yet before they die doing an impression of a pin cushion.

My hardest enemy so far was a blood dragon. It randomly surprised me out on the volcanic marshes and we had an epic duel as I splashed around in the mud trying to avoid its breath weapon. I finally wounded it enough to get it to land and between me and the dragon we slaughtered at least half a dozen goats and deer in the cross-fire between us. I ended up using all my healing items - I had nothing left. Me and the dragon both had a sliver of life left and it was rushing me across the ground as I raised my bow. It was agonizing pulling the bow string back to full power, because I knew I only had one shot before the dragon shouted again and killed me, and I couldn't take the chance the arrow wouldn't kill it. L released just as the dragon started to open it's mouth. Luckily my arrow reached it first and it fell. I spent the next few minutes terrified a squirrel or something was going to leap out and kill me before my health regenerated.
I totally pictured that battle in my mind x_x.

But yeah, gotta love those intense battles where Do-or-Die isn't just on the player side :3.

Knosis, or whatever it's name was, a Dragon Priest near a undescript word wall in the mountains east of Whiterun. Damn bastard nearly killed me, I used up all my healing potions, and would have too if I didn't realize at the last minute he had a specific way he wanted to fight me. After I let him have his way the fight became a cake walk, if not a tedious one. But it was OH SO worth it. He dropped a mask that boosted my lockpicking, archery, and alchemy by 20% each.

So far that frost troll on the mountain trail was the worst...yeesh he took me out twice at level 10 before I could even open my inventory! I finally won on the third try. I used an arrow poisoned with paralyze and this gave me enough time to blast him with a fire spell and then switch to a Nord battle axe with shock damage enchantment. I poisoned this too with damage health and the troll died after about ten hits. Next time I'll try the ledge attack idea someone wrote above...much simpler!

Oh and the first sabre tooth came at me with an ice wolf at level 5 and almost handed me my butt on a platter right quick...the only thing that saved me once I ran out of potions was about twenty cheese wheels. :D
