I hate Royal Mail

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 9:38 pm

next day is next day but first class ISN'T next day. Special delivery is next day>

Which is what I used, and which has not been fulfilled. Next day is not two days, and I don't care how busy you are. When someone pays for a service, they should receive said service, or their money back and an apology. Bloody disgraceful.

Still waiting on mine aswell and the post has been and gone. Which I don't even understand, my copy was supposedly posted last Saturday.

Needless to say, I'm frustrated. For the price/lack of pre-order bonus' I could have just bought it from a store. The whole point of pre-order is to get it day one, in the morning. :banghead: And worse still, if it doesn't come tomorrow, I'll have to wait till Monday D:

Yeah, this is the last time I pre-order a game. If mine doesn't come tomorrow I will buy a copy in the shop and just sell the Amazon one, when it arrives some time in December 2012.

And to think I'd been singing Amazon/Royal Mail's praises saying that they almost always deliver on time.

Bloody hell, calm down.

Royal Mail do what they can with all the crap they have to go through. Can you even imagine the numbers of things they have to deliver? Think you can come up with a better, and perfect, system? No, you can't. If you have to blame someone then blame Amazon, not Royal Mail, they're the ones who probably took longer to get it to Royal Mail, as the postie said.

Before you throw back some stupid comment like " You have the game", I don't, and yes mine is coming through Royal Mail first Class.

Postmans been. Nothing

Buying off Steam and will return the discs to Amazon for a refund if they ever arrive. If I were Amazon I would sue Royal Mail.

Umm well as i spoke to amazon and they told me the ROYAL MAIL courier had been delayed, id say thats the ROYAL MAIL's fault. Stop trying to back them up just because you work for them, ask pretty much anyone in the UK what they think of Royal Mail and they'll tell you they are terrible. Also i love how postal workers sometimes strike because they "don't get paid enough", when from what ive seen they cant even do ther job properly in the first place.

/rant

I'm not lying because i work for them. I agree that the service nowadays is terrible compared to what it once was. I also agree about the strikes. We get paid plenty for what is essentially unskilled manual labour. All i'm saying is that the reason people, including myself, haven't got the game today when we should have, is because it didn't come to us in time. Amazon handed mine to Royal Mail only last night.

Nope. Royal Mail are terrible, and always have been. If Amazon had used a courier, it would have been here at 8am this morning. Royal Mail simply cannot be relied upon, and that's a fact. Oh, and if a company can't deliver their service, which has been paid for, then they deserve all the crap they get. End of.

Yeah the best solution is to not waste time on these jokers and just buy from shops instead of waiting on preorders which is what ill be doing in future i think.

I simply cannot believe that people are standing up for Royal Mail here, if they advertise a service and then dont back it up, that is false advertising and then they deserve everything they get. If they cant meet these deadslines they should just admit it instead of lying about it.

They do deliver on a constant basis. Hell, I've per-ordered games two days before release, they were shipped the day before released and have arrived on release day. The fact I live on a lump of rock in the Irish Sea is testament to their capability to produce the service. You must have had some bad luck :c

If you've paid for it special then it should be there today. Apologies but i just assumed it was ordinary first class. Make sure you put a claim against it then. Kinda blew my whole argument right out the water now. DOH!!!!!!!

Post just arrived... No game.

Wtf Amazon? The reason I am annoyed is becouse it said it was dispatched days ago and said it would delivered today. It hasn't been. Now, the issue is that they don't even send you an email saying there is an problem with their courier or whatever.

To be honest, it's very rare for me to have any problems with Royal Mail. The only other time I can think of that I have had delayed post was around the time Borderlands came out and they were on strike. So personally I don't blame them as such, I would guess something has backed the system up. It happens, but it is frustrating aswell. I've recieved a dozen games over the past few months and Skyrim - the one I can't wait for - is the only one delayed D:

Hmm, wouldn't be surprised if MW3 being released the other day may have something to do with it, but that's just conjecture...

Emailed Amazon, and they placed the blame on Royal Mail being busy, but that's not the point. Both Amazon and Royal Mail should be ensuring priority packages get priority delivery, or there's no point offering that option.

Second time this has happened to me now, hence the somewhat annoyed conviction.

I emailed Amazon to but they were pretty unhelpful, just basically said: 'well, it should be there today, if it doesn't get there today then its royal mail's fault and not ours.'

Yes, that's what they said to me, in a long winded way. Great bloody help that was.

Thanks for the offer, but unfortunately not. Amazon do not appear to offer one with the Prime one-day delivery option.

My postman's been here already but I don't know if they do more than one delivery for the same area on the same day?

I'm not too bothered since this means I can spend an extra day doing some work, but paying extra to have something happen that doesn't happen is a bit frustrating.

It's 2:20 now and my post man just delivered some normal letters and left. Still waiting for my CE when Game.co.uk had told me that my copy had been shipped days agos. I pre-ordered this game weeks ago when Bethesda first told us about the CE.

Edit:
Two of my friends have pre-ordered copys of the normal edition from Game.co.uk also and they are also still waiting on there copys. This is ridiculous.
