Post » Thu May 10, 2012 3:56 am

Its just past 11am and no skyrim yet, they always bring the letters first then parcels an hour or two later. I want my skyrim!!

Anybody else having to wait for their skyrim to turn up?

Well I am at work and the first post has been so I am suspecting it might not even arrive at all here today. I'm waiting for a ressponse from Amazon.co.uk as to the method they used to dispatch it.

I hate it too.

I got all my normal letters, I didn't know they delivered packages later though. I had just assumed I'd have to wait until tomorrow.

Note to self, just buy it in the damn shop next time.

Yeah, I'm waiting for my copy, have the day off, so I'll just send that copy back or gift it to my brother, and instead bought the game on steam. Ready to play in 5 minutes!

Yeah mail svcks everywhere trust me, here in America I preordered BFBC2 back in 2009 and a full week after release it came. Moral of the story is, you can't trust the system.

D'you know what, I got my physical copy from Game last night and wouldn't pass up a few hours of play for the map that comes with it. It's byoooootiful. Not cloth obviously but I love the texture and feel of it. Worth waiting for if you have the patience IMHO. :)

So in the end i was unable to collect it for 48 hours, and they didnt care and got shirty when i conplained, after leaving like 18 hours and going to pick it up they thought me taking time off work for no reason to be fine upstanding buisness practise....grummble grummble

Amazon posted out the disks yesterday Royal Mail First Class.

About 90% of First Class Mail arrives the next day. 9% gets bogged down in the system with people off sick etc and 1% gets delivered to the wrong address.

That means I have a 9 out of 10 chance of getting my copy today.

But I also have a 1 in 10 chance that it wont arrive!

The tension is UNBEARABLE!!!!!!!!!

I got in touch with amazon and they informed me that the Royal mail's courier was delayed.

Amazon gave me full refund so im just gonna go grab it from tesco's instead.

I've had too many bad experiances when ordering the disks so now i tend to always order the digital copy for release. Most games these days let you do pre downloads anyway.
I actually did just this with another game, ordered it from play.com and it didnt turn up for the day of release and didn't look like turning up the day after so i downloaded it and sold the disk to a friend.

Strangely this is one of the games i preordered, but with all the hype last night on the forums and streams i decided to download it this morning. I'm quite surprised it was only 5/6gig, so hopefully that can almost be done by the time i'm home from work. Unless of course theres more to download once that's done.

I feel for all the people still waiting, it's the worst feeling to be unsure if it's coming or not and you do tend to hold onto every bit of hope which makes you more disapointed later on if it doesn't show. I would recommend the download if you have abit of spare cash and can't wait until tomorrow :P
