I HATE the thalmor...

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 9:02 am

although most of my character do hate them , some are decidedly so-so about the whole thing, i really dislike how beth made them so blatantly unlikeable ( with their immensely aggravating superior tone and silly faces) , often it is very difficult to like them , recently i did a job for that thalmore in markath's understone keep , after getting past is little speech about how he owned me , he offered me a job , and i took it , and afterwards? his tone changed completly , as i was leaving he said the first nice thing i have ever heard from a thalmore "nothing is greater than your company" aww i actually blushed and everything because it was said with such romantic inclination and senserity . now chases-her-tail , my argonian , really has got the hots for him and his determined to "woo" him - she gets the impression he likes a lady of real aggressiveness and complete ignorance to imperial law ...forsworn ?

so actually i think beneath beths smattering of irritable arrogance , there's actually quite a lot of decent people there

Difference is, that the Imperials are either too weak, coward, corrupted and/or stupid to do anything against them.

I don't put a hand in the fire saying that the Stormcloaks could (maybe they could with the aid of Hammerfell), but at least they've the guts to fight.

perhaps so , or maybe the imperials are more witty/crafty/cunning rather than just "cowardly and stupid"

if you ask me they have got a big plan in progress , the synod hint that the imperials are definitely up to something , no way are the imperials just sitting back and let the thalmore own them , that's not the empire i knew :swear:

Khajiit aren't affected by skooma in as severe of a way as most non-khajiit are in most cases. They lace all their food with moon sugar and might even bathe in it. Moon sugar is considered a part of them and their lives rather than just sugar. They even call blood sugar because their culture is centered around moon sugar the most. Secrets are the other thing they highly value. The use of moon sugar is also extremely religious for many Khajiit, as well.

Why so much hate for the Thalmor? They are so interesting!

And nearly all of you have to admit, there is one thing you love about them.

Killing them
And they're tastefully dressed.

Id be interested to see numbers on whether people choose imperial or stormcloaks. I believe the Stormcloaks aren't as popular as some of the game's characters will tell you. They are pretty racist too. I found it very interesting to talk to the Altmer Legate. He basically said that the Thalmor are not only anti-human, they're against anyone who disagrees. He talks about when the Thalmor slaughtered dissenters in Hammerfell, because they weren't content with killing people in their own country.
For the love of god, lets not start this again, its been going since the damned game came out, and its not gone anywhere.

i kill imperials because they were going to kill me.

kill imperials first, thalmor second.

They are very clumsily made to be hated.

Even Belloc wasn't as transparent.

ok , that little synod man ...when he is showing you that map of tamriel he makes a very deliberate brake in a sentence about the reason behind why the empire want it....seems to be like the empire are trying to find immensely powerful objects ...this adds up because the synod are more of a political branch than a guild

The Synod are a bunch of dumb a**** hording magical artifacts. There's a reason why J'zargo came to the College Of Winterhold.

As long as they stay out of my way, i'll stay out of there's.
That was until they forced my brothers and sisters of Valenwood to submit to their rule.
The Bosmers will rise against our Thalmor oppressors. Soon, my brothers. Soon.

whenever they are marching with a prisoner kill them.
With a prisoner or without - kill them always. Thalmor and their Imperial puppets should be killed when ever you meet them on Skyrim.

There are a few dead Thalmor in my games too hehe...wiping the smug expressions off their faces with my mace has been pretty satisfying. With my new character I'm going to try giving them a facelift with dual daggers.

And thank you for the comment about the grammar. I have terrible grammar and even spell-checkers can't help me sometimes.
