I HATE the thalmor...

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 7:32 am

Im sick and tired of the Thalmor. As im sure all of you are too. The only way i can show my hatred of them is to launch daily assaults on the posted guards outside the embassy :) . I wish there were other ways to fight them. So does anyone have any creative ways that they like to stick it to the Thalmor?

You're supposed to hate them. Whenever I kill one I make him my thrall and lead him into a vampire den so he can die all over again.

I use the thrall method too. One character makes his Thralled Ondolemar take out his former allies.

Ya...make one dead, drag em back to solitude, strip em except for helmet, then set them on the throne after the jarl goes to bed

I kill them every encounter I have. And I use console command "unlock" on the PC to get into their compound and kill them all in there too.

I dislike them, but not because of their practices. I dislike them because of their undeservedly superior attitude. If they were so superior, they would not be laying dead on the floor.

I think your meant to hate them I mean they want control to erase Talos then shatter the Mundas.

I do wish we had more foes with deep and interesting shades of gray, instead of tbe whole black versus white good versus evil.

The Civil War has plenty of that. That questline needed a lot more work than it got, but it's still pretty morally grey the whole way through

Yea, i mean people who supported the empire had good reasons for doing so, and those who supported the stormcloaks had equal good reason for doing so. There is no real good or bad in the civil war. Just different points of view.

The civil war is a horrible example great lore behind it but the actual quest I will say is the worst quest line dating back to Morrowind. It was copy and pasted pretty much from one side to the other. The grey in it is fine the quest was just terrible.

There needs to be more grey instead of good ultimately beating evil, we should have a quest line where the enemy does not have the supreme evil stereotype for the main game.

I would go as far as saying that the Civil War is the most poorly implemented great idea Beth has had in a long time (After H2H combat in Morrowind).

I am as Imperial as you can get. I love Jarl Balgruuf and respect the leader of the Imperials, such as General Tullis and Legate Rikke. At the same time, im not going to let some stupid pompous elves tell me I can't worship talos. The game has numerous references about a war with the Thalmor, so there's no possible way you won't have your share of Thalmor to kill later. Its most likely you will see a Thalmor Great War DLC, after Dawnguard and the supposed Heartfire DLC, which if its true, im looking forward to that.

If the quest was diverse like the Great Houses where the civil war quest line was not a mirror image of each other and longer it would have been great I must agree with your statement.

You know, that's the word I was trying to think of to describe Altmer when the character designs for Skyrim were first unveiled! Thank you.
